How would you feel if your favorite character died?....
I felt nothing, besides she has several clones, so if she dies, theres another one ready to take her place.

Well my favorite character in my favorite all-time anime did come within a hairs breadth of dying and it made me disappointed.
but for my other animes, my favorite characters cant die for one of three reasons.
1) they are the main character.
2) they are essential to the storyline.
3) they are just to freaking powerful to die. but then how would the series end?
except Keitaro Urashima (Love Hina) because he's a WTF?!? character and quite obviously immortal so i wouldnt have worry about him dying from anything less then a nuke

Well when I saw the final ova of kenshin and he dies of tuberculosis was pretty sad and I almost cry xD

It would be a bit dramatic for me, but if it's a heroic death after a beautiful fight I would accept it somehow...
Anyway, one of my favourite characters is Ichigo and well, the "hero" of a manga/anime rarely dies

My favorite characters from different animes die a majority of the time. Of course I feel sad, but what can you do, right? Some directors are just bastards that way, so I don't have much of a choice but to accept and move on.

Well if my favorite character dies,i shutdown the computer or the tv and i say that that anime its no good
