This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I also perfer to buy the manga also. I don't like download cause I don't have it in my hand. there is just something about having the manga in my hand, that nastagic feeling, that I get when I read a manga. but I might download a translated scan of a manga that is not in the states like Mai-Hime i bought the mangas about a week ago and i'm looking for translated scans so that I can read and understand the story more

It depends actually. If the downloads are up, I simply download them. If they are published by a translator in the USA, I buy them. Imported RAW manga books in Japanese would also count in my case. Like One Piece and Naruto books for example.

I have over than 700 volumes. I download mangas only if italian editors have not translate them yet.
For example I red "Pretty face" from internet, because it is not still printed here. Or else "Guru Guru" because editors stopped the italian edition on 7th volume, and I absloutely wanted to read the final of the serie...

If it's released here, I buy it or borrow it, with the exception of Tengou Tenge. I see no sense in paying money for edited content, so I feel content in joining in the boycott of the series. One should not be altering the original content simply to gain access to a larger market base.

I also buy rather than download. Like angelicdemon, I like actually holding manga when I read it. I also don't have to scroll down to get to the bottom part of the page when holding it. I actually downloaded and read the first 8 volumes of Love Hina so many years ago, but later found I preferred holding the things. So I've bought them ever since. When I downloaded things, I tended to not actually read much of them.

I download mangas. I don't have money to buy manga. Sometimes I borrow a friend's manga. . . Maybe someday I'll buy manga that I really want . . . when I get paid of course.

I download for a couple of reasons.

First of all, I really don't have much money, and none at all to spend on manga. Sad, I know.

Secondly, I'm not sure my parents would exactly approve of everything in the mangas, and it's much easier to keep it on the low-down when I only have manga on my computer. It doesn't raise any eyebrows.

I download and borrow mangas from friends. I do not have money to buy any. My parents would definately not let me buy any either. I guess i'm saying the same thing as "$toran." Anyway, I do agree that it seems much better to read a manga while holding it in your hands.

That's the addittude with a lot of parents I think, my parent don't like me buying that stuff. But they don't really do anythings, since they have come to the conclusion that I'll never grow up *rolleyes*.

On topic, I usually read the manga online first to see if I like it or not. If I do, then I'll start buying it and read them that way. Waiting can drive me nuts, but I like the feeling of reading it on my hands after waiting for it for a period of time. If it's not released over here then I just download and read them as it goes along.

But series like "Pastel" really drives me nuts, I read up to vol 11 already and they have just released vol 2 over here. Gonna take 2 years for it to catch up, in that case I usually just buy the books for the sake of having it and read the translation as it's being released.
