As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Not thinking of the extent of movie fluff. I'm thinking to the extent of a common place thug. It is more the concept of preventing criminal stupidity from causing more proublems.

When have police chases ever accomplished anything besides endangering the lives of innocent people. bring police morality into question.

Old school would most likely be the best for beginners. Work them up to the more update stuff.
Start them off with Super Mario bros. and work from there.
Once they are comfertable with SMB, then I would recommend Super Mario World and Sonic.
Lastly I would recomend three games each with there own strengths.
Final fantasy tactics, Golden Eye 64, and Sly cooper

That way they would gradually enter the gaming community without being bombared with overly complicated games, and they would be able to experience a variety of games so they can choice what they want to play.

Your thoughts?
What wyoudl you recomend.

I think that the better term is arcade is simpler and more fun & simulation is hard and more accurate ...
The recommandation depends on the kind of game that people like ...

Arcade would be good indeed.
I reccoment Soul Calibur (II or i) , because it is the best arcade game I can think of.
The storyline is like a book and can be changed by your actions.
You have multiple modes which makes it a game that doesn't becomes boring fast.
Arcade tends to be the most easy game type to understand.

I know a realy easy game to start...Harry Potter 1 for PS1...in fact it´s a realy silly game, but easy because of the very simple control sistem.

Wow for the beginner playing soul calibur i think that player must be very good in fighting game furthermore. i agree with drag0nscythe super mario world, sonic 1-3, super mario bros, for addtional games i recomend megamen series or megaman x series. for level up try RPG games such as final fantasy or fighting games such as street fighter, but if you like sport try football games or racing games. if you want to more level up in gaming try this one gametype this is very hard in my opinion if you play in videogames but if pc this game is easy FPS (First Person Shooting) such as quake4(xbox360,pc), call of duty(xbox360,pc),etc

Oh well,
I'm just no beginner and can hardly remeber when I was one..
I've been playing games since I was 5 or something...

Although I think final fantasy is to hard...In X and Vi you must solve puzzels and need to understand a lot of things like junction or whatever. I had trouble with it myself since I'm not english.
I thougth of Soul Calibur because the only thing you need to understand here are moves and some button combo's. Arcade games ussualy let us all start as beginners again.

But I guess your guys are right about this game.
Harry Potter 1 would be a start...the later games tend to have the most awful controls ever but 1 is alright.
If you want to let beginners play mario games etc etc you should first give them a gameboy and not a console just yet.

although that may sometimes be true, you will hardly win against some1 who plays or has the game...
doa may look like a button mashing game but to a skilled player, they would be no match :P (counter-attacks, guards, and normal attacks - i kno this cause i already own all doa 1,2,3 games except for the xbox 360 one)

however, if two nubs go face to face, then that is a different story (even single player is hard if you set it at an advanced difficulty)

i am saying this cause i am a doa fan lol - and sry to be getting offtrack - im kinda bored rite now...

for me, the best games that are realli easy for beginners are those that require multiplayer action and provide short mini-games(sry i dunno the names)... one of them i remember was this japenese sort of game that was out for the ps1 (multiplayer and single mode). these games were reallli simple, yet fun and some of the mini-games only required you to press one or two buttons (i.e. pressing them really fast, or pressing/rearranging them in order, etc.) the instructions were also easy to follow. a good example of this would be WarioWare:Touched!.
So yeah, tat is my thought on the type of simple games for beginners

ICO would be the best game for a beginner. It's a great story and a great experience. Its challenging but not overly complex in controls and things to do.

Completing the game is a reward like no other. The story is told so well. It's been called the "miyazaki film" of games.

It's very memorable experiencee. The problem is most games afterwords would be a let down since ICO is so good :)

I think Ratchet and Clank, Ape Escape or Mario are good game to start out on. They are not too hard, but still require some descent hand eye coordination and puzzle solving abilities. Not to mention they are quite fun to play too.

I think Ratchet and Clank, Ape Escape or Mario are good game to start out on.

Those are always fun, especially Mario. Mario games rarely get complicated. I say fighting games with the standard "quarter circle forward, light punch" and stuff like that are pretty easy (ie. Marvel vs. Capcom, Street Fighter, etc.). But of course, it really depends if the person likes these kinds of games.

RPGs, although they can get somewhat confusing occasionally, are pretty good for beginners. They almost always start out simple so you can gradually learn as it gets slightly more difficult. Most Final Fantasy games have pretty simple battle systems. Things like the Materia system in FFVII and the Junction System in FF8 might seem confusing at first, but anyone can get a hang of it.

2D Platformers, in my opinion, are the simplest games to play (well, many of them. Not going to go all out and say every one of them is simple =P). Really quite hard to get confused in games like Mario and Megaman.
