Best video game sountrack/song?
Ok, so lots of games have sountracks, but I wanna know what each of us think the best soundtrack is. And if you want, you can add your favorite song instead, or do what I did and add both. It can be a soundtrack from <u>any</u> game. Same goes for the song. I don't know about everyone else, but I think the soundtrack for a game is really important. So i'm just curious about what everyone else here likes! Alright, heres mine...Favorite soundtrack: Final Fantasy ViFavorite song: Tie! I can't choose between "One Winged Angel" from FF VII and "Eyes on Me" from FF Vi.

Oh, so many choices... the soundtrack from Valkyrie Profile had some great rock, and I loved it, but for overall music? hm... probably FFVi. They all hold a special place in my heart, though *wipes tear from eye* well, at least for RPGs <!--emo&:P--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Oh man... i love the SIlent Hill 3 and 4 soundtracks since it has a colab with Akira Yamaoka and Melissa Williamson. I love melissa's voices and akira's music. They're pretty much my favorite game OSTs of all time...
I think Gensous Suikoden soundtracks are the best, notable Gensou Suikoden II. The vocal songs in II was just awesome by Anelli, the vocalist. I wasn't fond of i, listened to the whole soundtrack and the only song that was "Suikoden-like" was the intro song. And I also like Lufia II (Estopolis Denki II) soundtrack, notably the battle songs (1, 2, & 3) and the boss song "The Last Battle." And the Chrono Cross soundtrack was awesome too. There were some great tracks in Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim sondtrack, especially the boss battle song.Miscellaneous tracks that I like are:The intro to Tales of Destiny, "Yume de Arou Youni" by DEEN. I don't know why Namco took it out in the US version and replaced with some orchestrated song.The intro to Zone of the Enders, "Kiss Me Sunlights" by Heart of Air.The song that was played in Xenosaga Episode I during the last boss battle. I think it was called "The Last Battle" in the soundtrack."Night of Fate", the track that was played in Kingdom Hearts when Sora first encountered the Heartless at that one town he arrived at after Destiny's Island was destroyed. Can't think of the town's name. There are probably more, but that's all I could think of for now.

I like the Kingdom Hearts background music .__. For playstation and GBA.
Best OST? Its a tie between Jet Set Radio and Katamari Damacy. But right now, i'm leaning toward Jet Set Radio. Great great beats.
Hmmm i really liked FFX and Kingdom Hearts' soundtrack.. XD haven't gotten them yet.. but i plan to in the near future.

I loved the FF series' music too... it struck a nice middle ground between being good and being subtle...
Hmm ya i have to agree on the Gensou-Suikoden Series Soundtrack. i especially like the intro song for Gensou-Suikoden IV. Metal Gear Solid 3 wasn't too bad either James Bond Esque (sp?)

I'd say Star Ocean 2: The Second Story, FFVI, the original Tekken, Katamari Damacy, and FFIX. I used to just sit there with the game on and listen to the music.

The entire ost of chrono trigger, final fantasy VII and Vi... squaresoft's soundtracks are just perfect for the moments on the game

FF series are good my favourite are themes from FF3/7/8also i have 'The Black Mages" one and two cd and i've got to saythat nobou did a really good job converting the themes into rock...Chrono Trigger is also good too...the reason we like the music is cuz it subconsciously gets drilled intoour heads after hours upon hours of gameplay...
