HARDEST GAMES EVER

spida2889Now i have played TONS of video games in my life and i have triumphed over many difficult games , but the two games opinion in which ridiculously hard are ninja gaiden for the crummy ol' xbox and devil may cry 3 on the ps2. Ninja Gaiden was unforgiving , and devil may cry 3 was a little forgiving unless you played on either dante must die or the heaven or hell modes in which the 1st level is utterly impossible to beat because no matter what you die in one hit. Now i must admit i have lost a controller because of this. Ninja gaiden got me angry up to the point that i decided xbox was dumb and i sold the console and game all together. Now i do think games should be challenging to get my money's worth but when it gets me up to the point where i get huge headaches and break my controller thats when the game is a lil too hard.. Especially when the easy mode is just as hard as normal. typing this is getting me angry , i need something easy to play right now( hmmm:: looks at gamecube and copy of super mario sunshine::)
In Ninja Gaiden, it's better if you use and hold the block button until there's an opening in the enemy. That's how I and many others survived.
IMO the hardest games were for the NES and SNES. Both NES and SNES Battletoads, Mario 3, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, that freakin' Contra game for the Sega Genesis, Punch-Out, Super Punch-Out, that's all I can think of now.

Ive played many a games, but there are two that stand out like crazy when i like about harest games, those would be devil may cry 3, and ninja gaiden. Those games are almost too hard for there own good. But who doesn't like a good challenge?
TETRIS! Impossible to beat! Hardest game ever!
Hmm... hardest games for me would be alundra 2 and megaman zero 2 and 3 both in hardmode.

SHOUdevil may cry ?ninja gaiden ,i don't think are too harderd to play just needs some skill and practice , i beat it ninja gaiden in hard mode and was funny not difficult but very hard is another story , the only hard game i remember is ninja gaiden 1 for nintendo ,i never beat it , is the only one ,
In the harder modes of Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 3 it only takes one simple mistake and one hit by an enemy and you are finished. I think that qualifies as very hard. A one hit knock out game is the most frustrating this ever. In DMC3 heaven or hell modes is basically impossible maybe not for the simple repetitive demons but with the bosses you have no chance.

Its gotta be Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox. That game destroyed me every time I picked up the controller lol
kyosuke-Ninja Gaiden: No, I'm not contradicting myself, because I'm referring to the old NES games.
Actually I've beaten Ninja Gaiden 1,2 & 3 with one life (no deaths). I thought that ninja gaiden 2 was the easiest actually. But I think I played that the most. You know you've played too much NG1 when you can actually clasp to a wall and move up it if you're quick enough. I wasn't to hip on most of NG3. I mean the whole ninja's fighting aliens was just getting too far out there. And the hardest thing in the game was... well one tricky jump O_o;
A lot of those NES games were hard because the controls were so dumb. Like you press jump and half a second later your character actually jumped. Actually a lot of Sega games I recall being hard for the same reason.

For me the hardest game was Shinobi for the PS2 on "super" level. It took me a week to beat the last guy alone. I'm pretty sure it took me like a month to actually beat it from start to finish on super mode - and that's after mastering normal and hard levels! And the normal level is notoriously hard - I'm the only one I actually know IRL who's beaten the game in normal mode.
Ninja Gaiden was indeed a pretty good and challeging game. Still, what make me angry the most is GGX Slash. Everything is easy until you fight I-no. It was my first time and it took me so many tries to beat her. Some of the Missions were pretty hard as well.
LOL after reading the previous posts, there are very similiar games I've also was frustrated it. One of them is Megaman X for the SNES. I was around 7 during that time and I COULD NEVER BEAT SIGMA. I was pretty retarded back then and it was practically impossible for me to shoot his tiny micromolecule head! >.<
THe other is the Armored Core Series. Some ACs just took me weeks just trying to beat it with my crappy skills ~_~.

Ohh yea , those NES games were brutal....megaman owned me
Megaman X6 is for me one of the most difficult games i have ever played, but over the years i have learned how the game works and it's not so hard anymore.
Also Bomberman 64 was a complete challenge to your brain for obtaining all the gold cards, i took hours planning on how to get the most difficult cards of the secret world.
Also Einhander is the only shooter that i still can't finish, i will one of these days though.

Satan in Digital Devil saga 2 lives up to its name as the hardest boss in rpg history. i spent endless hours in attempts to tackle him down and fortunately ran into some luck otherwise i would have been there for a lot longer......eventually taking it out on my controller.....

I haven't had many chance of doing almost impossible games since i'm playing rpgs 90% of the time, but i could say that playing Star Ocean i at 4D difficulties (we could say that it is one step further than "hard" difficulties in common game) is quite a challenge.
The hardest game I would have ever played is Shinobi for the ps2. The whole concept of killing monsters so your sword doesn't kill you but the monsters won't die just made it kind of difficult at times, and I never beat the final boss. Also one that was more annoying than difficult was the DOA Series with their AI that know your every move. ;p
For me the two hardest games ever where megaman 1 (that yellow, boss that can transform itself in small balls..) and battletoads 1... both for the NES.....
