Can't see any pictures!
1 Page: [ 1 ]
I can't see any photos, not even little thumbnails at all! Am I just blind because it's 4am in the morning or am I missing something? I don't recall any rule that if you have a certain # of pages that you can't view things. I don't even have a firewall that would block the images here. Can someone help?

Have you tried any of the following:
Clearing your cached files and cookies.
Logging out and logging back in.
Rebooting your router, modem and pc and trying both of the above.
Using another browser (opera instead of firefox or IE, etc).
Disabling any anti-virus, privacy, spam filters, pop-up blockers, etc you have installed.
All thumbnails and images that I can see are working fine, so I'm guessing it's either on your end, or a temporary problem.

I'm going to try downloading from animepaper just one more time. If it doesn't work, I'm just going to write it off as this site is not worth my time and energy. I've tried everything everyone has suggested to clear up this problem, but it looks like you guys just worry too much about bandwidth. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone in saying this, but I'm really upset and frustrated right now. I'm at my wits end and I guess this'll be the last straw.
UPDATE:
I was able to get the site to work finally. I don't know what it worked, but I had to turn off my firewalls, which I really didn't want to do. I'll have to slowly figure out what was wrong.

I see. So presumably then reading Dias' FAQ at the top of the problems and suggestions forum where it clearly states "This issue is commonly caused by your firewall/ privacy settings"; or one of the dozens of threads people have written on this where they have subsequently discovered their firewall settings are too blame; or even the news announcement bantam made out firewall's generally being the problem was not something that occurred to you?
:/
Maybe writing the same responses over and over to the same "problems" cos people are just too lazy to look for the answer is a bit of a waste of all of our time?

Hrmm. Something like that I guess. I think the majority of people don't know how to manage their firewalls properly. I know that I don't. Also, a site that has firewall protected content (like AnimePaper) is going to take a lot of flak for being non-user-friendly. I've deleted one of my older posts, but I actually said "I'm never coming back here" because I was so frustrated.
But seriously, having the users turn off their firewalls to view gallery items is quite unreasonable if you ask me.

I guess you still haven't read the other threads - you don't need to completely disable your firewall. Generally, depending on the exact firewall you have, you just need to add it to your list of trusted sites. Your firewall is currently set so that it is making your attempts to dl images look like remote linking.
As I understand it, this is implemented in v4 differently anyway.

I finally figured it out. Thanks for that last little input. I still think that this is a confusing problem for most people. Especially since I'm a Computer Science major in college. If it took me almost a month to figure this out, I'd assume most people would have given up long before then.
Yeah. That problably makes me sound pretty lousy in my major, doesn't it? "Doesn't know how to use his firewall." Great to put in a resume, right? Oh well. Domoarigato.

Try turning off your firewall?
tbh, since all the scans most everyone else downloads are working fine, it's clearly a problem with your system and not something we are really able to actually fix - unless, that is you want to pay the flight and hotel costs and then I'd be more than happy to come take a look.
The only ray of light you have is that the system works a bit differently in v4 and so however your system is configured, it may work better there.

If you're using firefox, then you might of blocked images coming from AP. Read my post at the link below to see if it works out for you.

This issue has been discussed so many times before, give it a rest.
