First off, I'm a huge collector of Dvds and television sets, spend a grip load of money to probably watch the dam things once or twice, but why the hell do I do it when i could just easily pirate it off the world of internet right? hell maybe i just like to have the original copy in my hand? not too sure
my real question is who out there collects things and why? there are some people who collect things that have no purpose in life at all...for example...ppl who own countless number of sneakers out there...Why?! *be more complex then simpply to walk in if your a sneakerhead* people buy shoes and not even wear them! for example a guy who bought a 2 Thousand Dollar pair of Gator Shoes and never plans on wearing them!! how does that make sense!!
so plz plz tell me what do you collect and does it serve any purpose wat-so-ever.

I collect stuff...yep...I collect Manga, i have 32 ATM and i'm getting like 2 a week. I read them and them put them on my shelf, in order, series together, acending orde (yes I am that sad). I'm saving them to read in a coupple of months, I'll read the whole series one after the other when i'm bored, and need to waste a lot of time. i also think that the one's i buy will be rare one day and i'll either hand them down to my Manga obsesed kids or sell them. a big collection of manga is sure to get some real money. ;)

I collect mangas cus i love them.. also movies witch in those there are some anime... i love watching movies... i also collect coins from diffrent counties when i get the chance to find one or if some one gives me one... i think it's intesting see how coins from other coutries look like...
o also used to collect pokémon cards.. but i stoped a long time ago... but i still kept them since most of them it's my best freind i used to have that gaved them to me befor i moved away...

I collect jewelry, fantasy books, dragon figurines (especially the McFarlane models), horse and unicorn figurines, anime and manga pics (and walls, lol :D)...Meh, just about anything that catches my fancy. XD I'm not a rabid sort of collector, but yeah, I do have some rather extensive collections. XD

I collect mangas,anime dvds,good novels and books and recently i'm hunting some biological pictures (heh)
I don't collect much, actually. Perhaps Japanese themed items might be something; I have a few wall frames, a daybed frame, a few vases, and things like that for my room. =]

I collect anime stuffs like keychains, posters, pins, stickers and more. I also collect anime, Korean drama DVDs, also j-music from anime themes. That's the same as gaming, and I collect manga. I collect them because I find them so adorable, and cute =3 I also collect books like well-written novels.
In my computer I collect lots of pictures! I already have 3000+ pictures in my Photobucket accounts haha. Mostly they are anime and gaming ones.
Oddly, I collect shiny, new coins with my mom. Hehe I don't know when I'll use them, but it's so nice to treasure their new-ness and shiny-ness. XD

I'm collecting mangas, animes, model kits, and shitajikis(if I'm not wrong on spelling it ^^). All of them is good to be collected, and of course, I love to read or use or play them. ^^ Beside, it's fun, it also can decorate my room too. ^^ I can feel different with my room, because it's full of mangas, model kits, and shitajikis, even sometimes posters. ^^

Collecting is a good hobbies. It can make you remember again, when you've been an adult, your sweet teenage memories. ^^ You can remember all of your memories by your collections. ^^ That's one of many reason why I'm collecting things, to give a memorial mark on my life, and make my young life unforgetable until I'm an adult. ^^

Ive always wanted to start a collection of somethings.. like dvds.. artbooks and what not.. but i havent had the chance realistically.. because finacially i cant afford it :( hopefully after graduation, i'll find a decent job that could finally realize my desirre :P

Well,I guess most of the people on thi forum are collectors...anime collectors of course,and I don't need to give a reason to why I'm collecting anime,we all know...I haven't been doing this for a long time,so I don't have that much of 'em,only about 25 DVDs...but I'm still working on it.
I'm not a complete idiot,some parts are missing:)

I collect people's cynical comments. I also collect things that are of no interest to me but are of interest to other people. I sometimes sell bits and pieces of my collection to either passerbys or people that require such itm for their everyday lives.

I collect mp3s and anime videos because I love to listen to music and watch animes as well. I rarely have interest in collecting material things since they occupy space in my room and I have a relatively small room.
