A Haruhi Christmas - First Wallpaper

Hmmm~ Well, this is my first wallpaper... and of course it features Haruhi. I don't believe I saw anyone use this image first.
Anyways, the simple brushes like the stars and snowflakes I think we're just given with my version of Photoshop. No owner really. The 'galaxy' in the background is a secret technique I don't want to share about ;D However, that was by hand. The stars were just size 3 and 1... and so on. Adjusted color layers... and yeah. Thats pretty much it.
Please comment and give me suggestions! I want to improve~

Hey there,
Not sure what to suggest. You might try putting a few snowflakes, 2-3, Scattered about the rest of the wall instead of just along the edge of the white brush strokes. You might also cut down just a little on how much white space you have around her and the logo.

Seems kinda odd to have haruhi in a christmas outfit with a space-ish background.

definately agreed. The theme has got to be there, especially the Christmas-y look. I'd rather you put a huge christmas tree or something.
technique-wise, i don't think there's any problem going on.

i don't mind the negative space around the spacey bg, since my desktop is littered with icons to more than 50%. But it would be nicer to drop a couple of random, bg objects, like snowflakes that Chonrad suggests.
As a side note, i don't really favour the 'eraser'-ed space that haruhi's in. it just feels too random.

I think you should move the haruhi sign more to the right.
also, for the background, you could try replacing the black with white, and see how that would look (since white would be more christmas-y and the red fits already).

Looks okay to me! I would only suggest editing the background a bit to make it more colorful, but most of all, you did a very good job!
