Giving Lucky Star a shot, because it seems to have potential. din know hirano was the seiyuu, although knowing it won't change anything really. i'm more inclined to male seiyuus. 
bias aside, i find myself comparing it to Azumanga Daioh, and some parts were really making me think twice, but i'll still give it a shot nevertheless. it is quite mind-provoking with some of its questions posed (haha) and the OP is so cute!

If it wasn't by Kyoto Animation and not by the same director and Aya Hirano was not in it, I'd probably not watch it because it wouldn't be the same. I am glad that it is like that though.

Most people go into Lucky Star expecting a plot heavy show with amazing animation since it is being animated by Kyoani, and come out dissapointed. As long as you realize it is a show based off 4koma, you can enjoy the plotless subtle humor of the show. I love Lucky Star, but I'd have to agree with people when they say they can't tell it is a Kyoani production, besides maby the OP.

It would be popular!!! So far, as I watch the series, I love what I'm seeing. The OP is soo addictive!! Also, as I read the sub on what the words in the song, it makes no sense what so ever. Still, I still love it. It makes me wonder what the manga is like. The anime is still soo funny. It's like the next Azumanga Daioh. It's still a great anime!!!!! Super Funny!! I say, "yes" it'll be very popular!!

You just got to love the opening, I had no clue of what kind of anime it was until I watched it, then found out the that the voice was done by Aya Hirano. Anyways... I would of watched it even if the voice wasn't done by her. Pretty funny show, I love it.

I read in a blog that there is a galaxy angel reference in the second episode of lucky star, I haven't been able to spot it yet though. Anyone else caught it?

All in all its something most definately to look forward to after Azumanga Daioh. I like how they emphasized on the food and what not. It shows what slice of life animes really are.. about nothing. :D

Saw the first two episooodes and it doesn't look too bad at all. I'll be watching Azumanga Daioh at the same time, however, which may cause confusion! I've heard they're fairly similar shows. I really like it so far, though.
