Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

It's very "liberal" on the mythology part. However the fighting system is very fun. It's too bad you only get one weapon. Also if your good, you can beat this game in a few hours.

God of War is defintely worth anybody's money that loves a great action game with plenty of gore with some nudity, so don't play it around the kids. =P

And like purifyweirdsoul said, the fighting system is awesome, the moves you can pull off is pretty sweet, and the little "mini-game" like button sequences you have to push when it's time to finish off certain enemies and bosses are wicked cool. And you're wrong about there being only one weapon, you forgot about Artemis Blade (I think that was the name), of course, you don't get this until the later part of the game, but it's still a weapon, and even though you use the Blade of Chaos most of the time, the abilities you learn along the way makes up for it. And about the time it takes to finish the game, there is no way in hell you can possibly finish this game on your first playthrough in just a few hours no matter how good you are, even on easy mode it takes quite awhile to beat this game, of course, maybe with a guide you can, but through legit gameplay, it's pretty damn close to being impossible to beat in just a few hours.

I bought the game, and it was worth it.

Even though you get the Artemis Blade, it's kind of too slow to pull off any good moves . . but it's fun using it nevertheless. I'm sure any avid Action gamer can breeze through the game on Normal and Hard mode quite quickly, but on God mode, or whatever it was called, you're avoiding getting hit at all, which is fun :D When I played for the first time, I beat the game in only 8 hours or so, which was fairly fast. Of course now I take even shorter time :P.

It only took me about six hours to beat it on easy mode. Part of the reason is that death isn't too bad in this game unlike...others. *COUGH*DMC3*COUGH*
But I missed so many red orb chests that I should have gotten.

Yeah, I neglected the Artemis blade because it's not much of a weapon. It's clunky, slow, and has very limited range. It feels like they only added it in there for (Spoilers for end) "warm up".

Although its short, its definately one of the best games on the PS2. I echo the points that others have said about God of War. If for some reason you dont get this or its too much money, ive got another game called Spartan Total Warrior. Its along the same lines of God of War and iin my opinion a very good game- again its short though..:-)

An action game on average takes about eight hours to beat, very rarely do you need to spend any longer then 12 hours, unless you're playing on a mode harder then normal. And you beat the game on easy mode, so of course it took you only 6 hours, I thought you meant you beat the game on normal on your first playthrough in like 3 hours or something. Besides, why bother playing it on easy mode, there's no challenge to it. The enemies are way too damn easy, you don't even need to bother to block most of the time, since their attacks hardly hurt you. And the bosses' difficulty level just dimnishes. Although I can understand why you would play DMC3 in easy mode first, because you're right, that game was that damn hard.

As for the Artemis Blade, sure, the weapon is slow and meant for close range battles, but it makes up for that by being uber powerful. I use it on the monters that needs quite a beating to kill, and when there's only a few enemies in the room. Blade of Chaos is meant for when there are a crap load of weak enemies in the room and when you want to clear it fast.

True the blade is powerful but it wouldn't really matter. Say you're fighting a monster with a lot of hit points. You have to close up for the kill and on the harder modes, this means a bigger chance of mistakes. Because of the heavy swings, you have no more invincible rolls when they attack due to the slow recovery.

Definitely a fun and innovative game but way too easy to beat except for God mode, the last part fighting those five million bitches pissed me off like a motha. Really fun to play and hope they do make a sequel as I think to could definitely pull it off.

Well, the thing is, once you acquire the Artemis Blade, your Blades of Chaos by then should've been fairly leveled up so you would have an arsenal of moves to execute for a group of enemies. Cyclone of Chaos and the Hercules comboset come to mind. Although, the Artemis Blade combos are fun to watch and execute, the Blades of Chaos are far more useful IMO. And Army of Hades, now that's godly :P.
