First Wallpaper...
1 Page: [ 1 ]
This is my first wallpaper that I threw together over the last couple days.
About half of the pictures are pics that Kyoko took throughout FMP, TSR, and Fumoffu. Unfortunately, the printscreen button on my keyboard died half way through so the other half of the pictures are pics that she *would have taken.
I know it's kinda chaotic but the wallpaper is aimed more towards people with modded desktops with side bars instead of icons. I attempted to make the BG lighter for people with normal desktops but it's still kinda chaotic.
Any comments, criticism, recommendations, or anything else are gladly accepted.

Nice...I like the whole snapshots idea in the background. I'm sure even people with normal desktop like mine can use it ^^
This is really good for your first wallpaper. The vectoring of Kyoto is very nice. I would've preferred that her legs don't get cut off by one of the photos, though ^^;
I also think that you should make her bigger so that she takes center-stage in this wallpaper. It's always good for a wall to have one focal point and not let all the busy-ness in the background become too distracting.
Also, I noticed that you put an inner shadow on some of the photo frames...I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish with that but I think it'd be best if you take them out and leave everything flat.
The photos not being vectored is another problem (but I understand that vectoring the whole thing is WAY too troubesome). Somehow the overall image just doesn't look right to me...I think you should maybe lower the opacity of the photos more or add some colorful vector text...
Anyway, good luck with this ^^

Great effort, especially since it is your first wall. I have to agree with most of what Gloo said. I also noticed the inner shadows on the photos, I think it would be better to remove all the shadowing. I assume that your photo's for the BG are laid out on a flat surface or table (and so wouldn't have these shadows) because you haven't included pins or sticky tape lines to fix the photo's to a 'wall' or board. Also Kyoko needs to be a lot bigger, as she is the focal point of the wall (the photo's are a BG), so shouldn't be cut off by anything other then the wall edges.
*Idea* perhaps Kyoko would look better on the right side of the wall with your text on the left side.
But you have captured some funny scenes that I haven't seen yet, and now I'm looking forward to seeing them, when the rest of FUMOFFU gets released in my country.
Just a point though, I understand why you increased the brightness in the BG but I would have liked to see more colour, but that's a personal preference.
Great idea, and work on your first wall.

Hey the wall is vey nice, you did a great job on this.
The background is nice too but it's a little, just a little bright for me but its ok
I have a lot of things to say but I don't know a lot of english so...
But keep doing good jobs like that one!

I think it looks really good, especially for a first wall. there's just a few things that i would suggest for improvement.
-i don't think that kyoko's legs should be cut off by a photo on the bottom. it just doesn't look right.
-you shouldn't have the inner shadow on the different photos. if anything, use a drop shadow. it will give everything a nice 3-d effect.
-you probably want to eliminate the white border around kyoko. it doesnt fit too well with the overall wallpaper.
other than that, i really like this one. i'm very impressed with the artwork and want to see a good finished product of this one. it has a good theme, good background (although i don't really like light walls, they tend to hurt my eyes, but that can be overlooked....it's just me....) and a good scan for kyoko.
great job!

Nice wallpaper there. I think I've seen that picture before and I'm sure that the legs are really cut off, too bad =(
Overall, it's a nice work but I strongly suggest you get Kyouko positioned at the very bottom of your wallpaper to make it look more appropriate. Background pictures are okay as well but set the position randomly and not positioned in a regular pattern. Also, change the white border on Kyouko to a negative color by inverting the color of her skirt so that she will stand out more. It would also be nice if you position her on the right, if not right-most side of the wallpaper. If you are to do this, position your signature on the left.
Hope this helps =) Ganbatte ne, J2086-kun...

I don't speak english very good, your wall is very cute, but I don't liked the letters xD
I think this is a very cute idea! I did one just like it for my personal wallpaper, hehe. Anyway, I think this would look alot better if you had the character larger and to one side of the wallpaper. Also, because I think the scan is like that with the legs cut off, if move her so that her leggs look like they are going off the wall, not just ending. Also, make that background with a little more color. If she was bigger and in a different place, it would look good to have a bit mroe color on the background. One last thing is the font. I don't really like how it goes with this wallpaper. Maybe a different font and up more on the wall. Good job on this. It's looking very cute. I hope that helps.^^
