But I do find Kosaka Riyu looking somewhat similar to Clare though.

And yes, most likely you will need to follow up with the manga, as with most long running manga adaptations like Get Backers, Rave, Inuyasha, etc.

Ive seen a few episodes and was hooked....its looking like a feminine vampire hunter but demons instead...same difference but hey...i think 20 episodes have been aired./...last time i checked. Anyone know the real number...and what days it airs on?

Well, they looked a little close to how I expected them to, but both videos are so cheesy just like you warned. The standstills in Kosaka Riyu's video were really weird, she actually looked a little like a statue sometimes. The Nightmare video is a little too gothic for my taste, but the lighting was ok at certain points. Kosaka does have hair kind of like Clare, but even Clare has more color on her face compared to Kosaka's skin that's white as snow. I like the ED song more, but the OP video is less cheesy since there aren't any annoying standstills like the ED.

I am not in agreement with the 9,5 had to aver put the 10 this animates to him is simply brilliant has a history like few and its rate of 9,5 action is very good but good the this badly unique that me feling is that the series this I aim to finish jajajaja but to is not left the manga

I can't wait to ep 21...
I think Claymore is one of the best series ever created =)

Hi! New here...

What I like about Claymore is that, despite the relatively simple artwork (including the swish-swish-swish "action" of the bladework), the story is very compelling. The way episodes can be sustained from beginning to end by just 2 or 3 characters, is a sign of great dramatic writing. Excellent stuff.

I swear, this is the first sorta brutal anime that I got addicted to.. I'm not really fond of blood spills and violence when it comes to anime, lolz. Claymore really caught my interest.

The story is so interesting, I just can't stop watching... can't wait for the future episodes ^_^

Wow, can anybody familiar with the manga tell me if the anime just messed everything up? Are they going to try and hurry up and finish this series,...

That and skipping out on the Clare-Flora duel...whats going on?

Compared to the manga they added like 200% more gore in ep21
funny how i heard people saying before how the manga was too violent and will certainly get censored in the anime
yet here we have pieces of our poor claymore heroines flying all over the place

many scenes from the northern campaign are significantly different, including the missing match between clare and flora (how did you know that?)
however none collide with the manga so far
the team leaders are killed by ligardes/rigald/rigardo about in the same way and speed as they got smashed in the manga

just the part where raki discovers prescilla feasting on some guts is an unknown scene to me
maybe they want to patch some half baked ending together to finish by ep 26
they clearly have no space left to cover all thats left
i still hope that they asked the author about that cave scene and put it in in advance, planning a second season later
whether raki has any idea of who prescilla and easley are is an uncleared matter in the manga so far (its about 2 volumes since the end of the northern campaign)

Waaaaa Flora died! Undine died! Veronica Died! umm...Jeane? I think Jeane didn't die because she's already an awaken state right and she was struck only at G.I.T. (gastrointestinal tract) so maybe she can regenerate some.

Flora was my favorite (other than Clare of course) so I'm mostly pissed because of that T^T

however putting Raki and Priscilla in at that particular time seems... shallow, somehow ('please stop eating' at a time where elsewhere claymores are getting cut up and blood all over the place >_>)

Usually creating a 2nd season would probably take 1-3 years to finish... still im quite sure that there would be no 2nd season (its manga is so pretty damn slow)...I wouldnt be suprised if the series turns up to be similar to SPIRAL(a mystery anime)...

I can't wait for eps 22, looks like it'll be another action packed episode. Some scenes in eps 21 looks different too, i wonder how the claymore anime will turn out and end.

Seems like Raki is about to empathise with priscilla, i wonder how is he going to continue travelling with them.
Can't wait to see Clare's partial awakening...and strangely the story had to continue 7 years later, Raki would be an old man then
