getting "nailed" as lol3ndir fittingly described it is rather dishonouring, but looked fast
undine would surely agree, as she got her arms ripped off and was then sliced in half which seemed just as painful as dishonouring
luckily for all of them, they dont appear to feel much pain
i mean, they lose arms and receive arm thick wounds in their torso every other day and continue fighting
even the toughest normal soldier would lie down and scream in agony for hours

doesnt seem like well be seeing any of the "after 7 years" events in this season if at all
but either way, raki looks 14-16 atm, which makes him a wannabe appetizer in the claymore world
the following 7 years might as well give him what it takes to be a little bit harder to swallow and i dont call people in their 20's old

I think they've already to move away from the manga and end it in 26 episodes. I don't think Claymore will be as good if they dragged it out anyway. I wish they would make deaths less sudden. Its horribly depressing to see such potentially great characters get killed in about...2 seconds.

Just to make sure no flora fans try to crucify me: the calymores' deaths didnt make me happy at all
however, i cant recall any other series that has the guts to let characters die off in such a realistic fashion

but i hate it when all the somewhat developed good guys cant die because they have been around for a while, death knows no differences, therefore death is the fairest thing in life
either way, as long as we dont get all of the original cast wiped out (clare and raki not counting), im satisfied
wheres the thrill when you dont need to worry bout the heroes?

Episode 21 was so good. Ligardes owned so much, but it was sad seeing all those good claymore's die.

This anime is a little to bloody for me... lol ^^.

many scenes from the northern campaign are significantly different, including the missing match between clare and flora (how did you know that?)
however none collide with the manga so far
the team leaders are killed by ligardes/rigald/rigardo about in the same way and speed as they got smashed in the manga

just the part where raki discovers prescilla feasting on some guts is an unknown scene to me
maybe they want to patch some half baked ending together to finish by ep 26
they clearly have no space left to cover all thats left
i still hope that they asked the author about that cave scene and put it in in advance, planning a second season later
whether raki has any idea of who prescilla and easley are is an uncleared matter in the manga so far (its about 2 volumes since the end of the northern campaign)

I must say so indeed, but it is clear the anime is progressing much further than it should be, it should take around a year to make sure the manga is about as far progressed in order to make a second season on it and I have no doubt the Northern War arc will have a half baked ending that ends on this one here.

However, I am glad to see that Priscilla and Raki getting anquinted more deeply in the anime, just maybe, it will make Raki, who is obsessed with his self emo in his family being a Yoma brother and the rest getting eaten, it might make him think twice, and if there is such a thing as a Yoma symphatizer, he might make an impact on Clare's stand as a strict anti-yoma, and maybe even become a worthy adversary in the second season.

Which I am really glad to see how this is going. Oh, and one too many claymores actually put me off, frankly, I thought Flora and Veronica died nicely, Undine the iron headed b*tch died like a hero, WTF on that, I was hoping she will one of those who get pinned first and shot down.

The new episode airs tomorrow. Let's hope they can kill that damn Simba without losing any more girls in the process. And I think the anime is going for an original ending. I haven't read the manga but appearantly it's significally different. Going for an original ending makes sense to me, because who knows how long it will take before a second season starts airing, if there will be one at all.

In my opinion the story could last for two seasons without a problem (I didn't read manga though). I think things go a bit too fast in this anime but maybe it's better than some filler episodes.

I find it's one of the best animes I've ever watched.I agree with freedoleen two seasons would be enough. Altough I heard that there is only going to be 27 episodes.

I guess there will be a second season but my fear is it will air not less than 1 year after the end of this one T.T

@~bovy85: The manga isn't finished yet. If there will be a second season it will probably be made when the manga is finished, so I wouldn't get my hopes up to high.

And why is there no discussion about episode 22? Am I the only one who is curious to what will happen to the fab four? I especially wonder about what is going to happen to Clare. She is awakening at the moment but it would be interesting if she couldn't make it back this time. A gut eating hero is something I haven't seen before.

I am enjoying this anime very much! I like the characters and the artwork a lot. I thought the theme song was very good too.

Did they not have a budget that allowed them to have color in this anime or what? -_-
my friends hyped this, but I'm let down. The plot is slow and all the claymores have virtually no personality. Raki cries so much I hope he dies.
