Did they not have a budget that allowed them to have color in this anime or what? -_- my friends hyped this, but I'm let down. The plot is slow and all the claymores have virtually no personality. Raki cries so much I hope he dies.

Claymore rocks; about the colour, that is just the art style and it looks wicked. It appears you have only watched a few episodes; but keep on watching and your expectations will be fufilled. More and more claymores are introduced with unique personalities that tie into their abilities. The plot improves and Raki grows up (I hope).

at least girls are naturally more emotional, which would make "her" outbursts more acceptable
but id still dislike such a character greatly since this is claymore and not slayers
i dont hate him, the irationality of his deeds tends to make me tilt my head often tho
too irrational for his age, thus i dont care about him
charas of his type are immortal in nature anyways - dont think his sort could even die in a show like claymore, would be an interesting change tho...

either way, while reading a lucky star doujin i stumbled upon a sidenote explaining a pun, which reminded people of the good ol fact that written japanese sucks at english words just as much as the japanese themselves do
thus they spell lucky as raki
and i had to burst laughing
what if the wimps actual name is lucky? muhahaha...

I just watched episode 23. I can't wait to see what happens next! Incidentally, that's just about the way all the Claymore episodes have ended for me. The series keeps me wanting more, and that in itself makes it a good anime in my mind. My only question is if it will end with one season or continue. If it only lasts this season, I hope the end isn't rushed.

If you've forgotten, Priscila is much stronger than Isley although she is a girl and is centuries younger than him too (if you've read the manga) since you are implying that a female Raki would be weaker than a male one, although that is possible. Their have been plenty of female warriors in Claymore that have beaten male Awakened Ones and plenty of women who are stronger than men in real life.

With that episode I conclude that there would be no 2nd season...That Sucks!!...She Didnt Transform her Four Limbs...she only transformed her legs... and in the preview... did I just see Galatea?...ARRGGHH why is the manga so slow... the manga should be fast like naruto or bleach

Such a shame, and even if we have to wait 5 years or more, I'd still rather have two seasons rather than one.

The latest episode was still interesting even though Clare's arms didn't Awaken. What's also intriguing is Priscilla's reaction after sensing Clare's yoki that she believes is Teresa. I wonder what she'll do, I'm 100% positive she will try to find Clare in order to find some explanation as to why she can feel Teresa's yoki after so many years. I can't wait for next week's episode. ^-^

I mean, because of him, Clare will have to spent so much effort looking for him, and much worse is that because he moves around (which is sad, because Clare was near to him in a town, and he moves out rather than stay at said town waiting, which could easily be a better choice.), he refuses to fight with Yoma, but then he joins them, he has not had more than the typical shonen castaway lines. It makes me sad to see him as a developing character when they could have had some other Claymore play his role.

Oh well, all is well for now, cause seriously, I hate, and I DO MEAN I HATE to see such a pathetic character not die an ugly death at least. Oh, and because of him, Clare can do so much more, so he is not all that useless, aside from being Nympho bait.

and erm speaking of Youma, all the Youmas looked like monsters, but I wonder why Simba The Lion King, is the only one that looked like Manimal there, he looks exceptionally small and even more normal as a Youma, like a stand up werewolf lion, I mean, compare him with any other Youma, he doesn't have broken/spliced limbs (ie. Priscilla), tentacles (ie. Kathia), Iron Rods (Ie. Duff) or massive size (Ie. Riful). All he has is speed and short bursts of power. Also, in before reference to Alex The Lion from Madagascar. "Steeeeaaaakkkkk!! " - Rigald the lion king.

Oh well... design failure? possibly, I think the artist ran out of ideas after having seen one too many HR.Giger design sheets and decided a furry will have to do.

How far ahead is the manga though? Does it have enough content to justify having a second season or only 3 episodes? I hope it's not the latter :(

The manga speaks very little about second season, or potentially for any in fact, but we can be assured of a whole new lineup of new claymores 1-47 for the replacement lot, (although all of them are useless as to my knowledge now)
