[Anime Discussion] Claymore

@~Omni: don't you think it was a bit boring if he just died? I mean he could die near the end of the series, but isn't he the reason for the most challenges that clare has to face and that keep entertaining us? Without him the story would only regard the claymores and their fights... for me that would be boring actually...
Claymore is getting more and more sicker by the episode.
I don't mind that Clare obtained insane speeds but what's up with the goat legs? o.o

Aaand there goes the second season...
right to hell that is
ep24 has pretty much severed any connection to the manga storyline
seems like well have a simple flat showdown next, without any consideration of important manga elements like luciella&raphalella, riful&duph, the organisation...
all that makes up the storyline has been simply pushed aside in one single ep
should the totally unlikely scenario occure and a second season be created, wed probably get something wed rather not see at all, considering how little talent the animes authors have shown in altering the storyline so far...
goodnight claymore

This is shitty, it was following the story so well, and now... ?
Oh well... I guess there won't be a second season. or maybe if there was... all is lost.

Omnidevil, I think it was planned way before that it was going to be a 26episode series, therefore the story must divert at some point, which was episode quite evident in episode 24 so that they can wrap it up.

This anime is one of the best out of the other 2007 series. The storyline doesn't seem to go too fast yet, not so slow. [Like most animes. @.@] It's at a normal, consistent pace. Which I love most about this series. It doesn't try to lag on and on so it won't catch up to the manga. [I haven't read the manga so, I wouldn't know which is fillers. @.@ But then again, I only watch the anime Bleach and I pretty much know when fillers come on. So, yeah, Claymore's storyline doesn't move away.] Anyways, I also love how the main characters are female. Woo, girl power. xD And as each episode pasts and I'm once again surprised by Clare, I only want to know more about Clare's power and how maybe Theresa's flesh might be affecting it. Also, the animation is plain awesome in every single episode and there's great fighting scenes. [Though I don't really like gore, I look past it on this anime. xD] Anyways, Claymore is just an awesome anime. :] [If only RomeoxJuliet can be as awesome as this anime. ><]
I haven't seen the manga yet but from the anime episodes air to date I made some speculations about the organization. Here's my theory:
The organization creates Claymores and allow them awaken. The awakened ones then go out to cause chaos, eat people, and spread fear (and possibly create small youmas as well). The organization then send out Claymores to defeat the youmas and awakened ones, and at the same time collect large amounts of money for the jobs done. The Claymores that were sent out will eventually awaken as well, creating more jobs for new Claymores (while the organization get all the monetary benefits). In a way its similar to a pharmaceutical company releasing a disease to make money from the cure, except in this case the cure eventually turn into the disease itself like a chain reaction.
I could be totally wrong. Just need to wait till I see the ending (hopefully it will address the purpose of the organization).

They didn't need to deviate from the manga...I was so disappointed by Rigardo's death. Why not a second season?
Claymore's popularity justifies at least that much imo O_o

That's an interesting thesis, maybe it is like you said. But I bet they won't reveal it in the anime, there are just 2 episodes left and I bet they will only focus on the fight of priscilla and the past... >___> (I still hope there will be a second season...)
Anyways I hope they will reveal it in the manga soon...
Just saw episode 25...
P.S. I know my text lacks structure, sorry about that...

The manga has a longer storyline that i think works better. i noticed when some things deviated from the manga plotline, forcing them to end the show quicker. though, super-pricilla is cool.
@ Kagetasan: You mean Priscilla Super Saiyan 3 from episode 25? I like her more with a body that still resembles a female warrior (even the "normal" awakened form). The hulk-like version of Priscilla in 25 is just lame in my opinion.
Oh man, ep25 is the height of lame
first of all, since when is miria so dumb?
she knew exactly who prescilla is and what happened in the past, yet she attacked her
3 much stronger claymores miserably failed to slay her before
secondly, prescilla awakened "even more" and became the ugliest awakened being known to me
huge, bulky, unoriginal
the volcano setting is as cheesy as it gets
and thirdly, how come nobody died so far?
prescilla totally outclasses all of them, yet she doesnt kill nobody?
thats not the prescilla that killed no3-5 before without even thinking about it
additionally, she carries a monumental hate towards teresas presence inside of clare, but she doesnt seem to care too much in the end just standing there and waiting for god knows what
animes often spoil towards the end, but this forced misguided showdown might just as well be the biggest f*ck up ever
