Finally got some time to watch 13

I kind find it hard to believe that having Clares arm choped of was a part of her plan as was sorta mentioned by Ophelia, but will be fun to see Clare use the Flash Sward against Awaken Ophelia.

There will be parts of the manga that will be left out cause the series is only 26 episodes so yeah..

So Irene is alive? Who would have guessed that? Al right, probably half of the people who watch this show did. She features way to prominently in the opening. I was a little surprised when I saw Ophelia cutting Clare's arm in tiny pieces. There is nothing to worry about though, I belive that we could see a two-armed Clare in the next episode preview (although I'm not completely sure).

Oh, and @ everyone: could you please clearly distinguish manga spoilers from anime spoilers please?

I just started to watch Clayemore today after being intrested in seeing it for weeks. I think it is a very good anime that wants me to see more after seeing a episode. It is exciting and have a good story, the art is nice and the characthers are really good. I can´t actually find anything wrong with it yet but I have only had time to reach episode 6 today have to watch more tomorow to get a clearer view of what I actually think about this anime. I am actually considering starting to buy the manga.

I've watched up to episode 13, and I have to say I'm loving it. It's really bloody and violent but it has enough sappy stuff to make you go T____T Some of their pasts were really touching.

The manga looks more detailed story wise, but the art doesn't look as appealing.

I find since it was produced or animated by Madhouse, I always find myself comparing it to Death Note, which is a much more thought provoking show.

However, although the show is not thought provoking in anyway, its a decent show, with slash em up monsters and stuff. Not something I would watch more than once, but like I said, decent if you are bored and like the whole overused Monster eating people theme.

LOL.. its starting to sound like I am giving a bad review, so I am going to stop here.

Claymore is an amazing anime. It's something different from Bleach. I like how they show Clare weak and not uber supreme like the main character of other animes do it. It shows great character development by having the character be this weak. I really love the fighting scenes.

I find this anime to be one of my favorites. No, it's not the fact that it's a buncha women fighting each other; It's the story, and characters...Also provides background on most characters too, which is teh sweet. As some of you may have seen, there's(imo) just too many people severed heads/body parts in the show. It's all good though.

CLAYMORE is one of my top favourites out of the spring season. I got hooked up by the story, characters and the music, of course. Both OP & ED are amazing. Although, I find CLAYMORE a bit too gory, it's still awesome. (Gah, blame my Mahou Shoujo complex.)

Great episode overall. I liked the fight between Clare and Ophelia; too bad the first half was a little bit dark though, it was hard to tell what was going on even when my room was completely dark.

Now why didn't they show Clare's "other side" in a particular scene? They showed Ophelia so it can't be because of the airing time :P

I just saw EP14 and about crapped my pants *checks undies*!! I was screaming, "WTF?" at the TV (my wife thought I was a loon). EVERY episode of Claymore just gets better and better! The only filler in these series is the buckets of blood.

Erik, did you see the Eclipse fansub? It wasn't dark at all.

We FINALLY got a taste of some fanservice!

Episode 14 was pretty good in my opinion concerning animation, style, music, and quality of course.

Is it me, or does anyone notice the irony how Ophelia behaves more human-like in her Awakened form compared to her original hybrid form? Since she hated Awakened beings more than anyone we've seen so far, it's no wonder she seemed so suicidal. At least she died knowing how much her brother cared for her, which was a kind of touching revelation.

@theironwarrior: I would not call that fanservice just because it seemed a little revealing. It's not like the animators had any choice since Awakened beings can't exactly keep the clothes on their backs after transforming. Also, the animators should not busy themselves with ruining this show by filling it with useless fanservice because there's too much material and creativity to use.

I understand that "true" meaning of the word, "fanservice" and was using it generically. I also realize the Awakened Beings aren't going to be clothed anyhow.

I should have said "T&A" --since I like lots of T&A in my anime. :D

While I like a good plot, and Claymore's is par excellence, I'm fairly simple in my anime desires: lots of blood & violence, gratuitous nudity, and female protagonists and antagonists exhibiting the aforementioned.

Speaking of plot, Clare's arm recovery threw me! This is what made me scream at the TV--unexpected and outrageously cool. Clare's final battle with Ophelia was intense. The animators portrayed her angst and anger through her facial expressions perfectly.

What I like best is just how bad ass her teeth can seem grind, you can almost feel her sensations when you watch this on a 32 inch screen (DVD transfer from computer to big screen)

Watched it until latest episode. it's not bad, but prepare for a lot of blood though >.<
