After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Well, either way, with having an open or semi open ending (which is what we got), people still want a 2nd second. They just shouldn't have screwed with the storyline. There's nothing wrong with the manga storyline. I especially like the parts from when Clare was training to be a Claymore, how it explained the haircut and such. That wasn't out yet though when they were making the anime.

To me, the ending would be a good set up for another season, but i doubt there will be one. either than that, i didnt like it. if left to many possibilities for me and i dont like thinking about what may happen :p

Well, I stayed a little angry, because the fight was not very exciting, and Priscilla stayed still alive, I thint that Clare had to kill her without any pity or mercy, because her deserves. But I love Claymore anyway ^-^

The ending was a huge disappointment. The anime started out so well, only to end at such a low point. By the end of the series, I was completely annoyed with Raki, and wished Clare would have gotten rid of him along with Priscilla. The whole point of the story was for Clare to get her revenge, and she didn't even kill Priscilla.

Being someone who never read the manga, I can say this anime has very profound moments. It all depends on how you look at things and what is your attitude. I don’t expect it to follow the manga, and I accept the common uses of many elements.
For example, a critical moment was when Clare cut Rigardo’s arm, that was Major. To really apprehend that fact, that absolute determination and concentration can make happen the improbable, the apparently impossible. I also think that if you know what is going to happen, or what should happen,(according to the manga) then you can’t enjoy it in the same way as someone who doesn’t know anything at all. The less you know the more you can be surprised. And I don’t agree with the thought of expecting something and then being surprised by the opposite or different. No expectations = better.

I’m personally looking forwards to more seasons, and if there won’t be any I might end up reading the manga. The manga however doesn’t have voices, music (super important for me), and Motion (very important also). I think manga and anime are so different experiences that should not be compared. Like books and movies. Not even if someone managed to select the key scenes and important moments, the nature of imagining (text) vs cinema (audio+video in motion which doesn’t leave as many possibilities open) is so different. I don’t expect poetry (soundless) to sound like music and I don’t expect music (silence-less) to feel like poetry.

I honestly was a bit disappointed at the end. The fights were amazing, but felt quite lacking, especially after reading the manga. Even if I were to judge it purely on its merits, it makes all the previous build up kinda for naught. Why did Riful appeared in the series in the first place? Did it make sense for Clare to not take Pris’ head when she had the chance? Who the fu*k is Isley? Why have him in the show if all he does is stand around? Why bring out Galatea in the final episodes and not have her do anything (well, besides talking, breathing and walking. But that’s all)? What happened to all the other claymores? What happened to the rest of the awakened beings? I really thought that they could’ve ended the series (even though if it was different from the manga) a lot better.

Example, one huge, and by huge, I mean HUGE-ASS fight. Instead of all the flash backs (I wonder how many times they’ve shown Teresa’s head flying throughout the course of the series), maybe the rest of the awakened beings that were taking charge and attacking the other claymores, snuffing them, mocks them a bit, before noticing 2 claymores in black standing on top of the hills. Cut back to some more Clare fighting, cut back to the awakened beings staring at the claymores, and one has started to transform. And suddenly, flash, an awakened being loss its head, Cut back to Clare fighting, all the way till perhaps similar to Clare’s final fight. Cut to Beth and Alicia arriving at Clare’s scene, leaving a wake of dead awakened beings. They sense some wicked fighting. In comes the instruction, and woosh, they go berserk. Clare’s fight gets disrupted, Raki flies off to god knows here, and amidst the chaos and badass Youki, Jean hugs Clare, returns her to normal, dies, Isley carries Pris, and escapes, scene fades to white...

Some falling snow, we see Raki lying unconscious on the ground with Isley smiling down at him, while carrying Pris. Cut to Clare waking up to find a dead Jean, cries… Miria starts wondering about the 2 wicked claymores, Helen and Deneve looks around to find all other claymores dead and curses, until they sense some movements. Clare remembers Raki, and starts looking around for him aimlessly… cries out for his name. Cut to Galatea asking about the 2 claymores, gets denied, gives her report about the “Dead” claymores (as in the anime) and walks away, as Ruburu (or Ruvuru, or whatever you call him) starts his speech, as the camera cuts to a snowy mountain with heavy blizzard. Then we see the shadow of 7 figures... as the camera zooms in with exponential speed, and just before the shadowy figures are revealed, ending theme kicks in.

That would’ve set things really nicely if there were to be a second season, and the only mismatch they have to fix are that Pris had dueled Clare, and that Raki knows who Pris is. But hey, give them 1 episode, and it’s possible to come up with something, example, the duel with Pris was the main motivation for her to work harder, and in Raki’s case... maybe he lost his memories due to concussion. And that would probably allow Pris to be even more attached to him. And when the end finally comes, they can then use their own again in case the changes really were incompatible, example with Clare saying “so we meet again, biatch. Give me my boy toy back”. LOL! It doesn't hurt to create your own ending if your not satisfied with the real one.

I read the manga first, so needless to say, I found the ending less-than-stellar. The foreknowledge about the deviating ending didn't help to correct my biased perception much either...

Eh. Some series excel in print more than on screen, and some vice versa. This just happened to be the former.

Still, I thought the anime ending worked. It wasn't as cohesive as the manga continuation, but it tied up a couple of the loose ends. What confused me was that it was left semi-open anyways.

So yeah, kind of pointless. Still, overall, enjoyable season.

Claymore is my secind favorite anime i ever seen. Reading the manga ofc too. The ending of the anime was a big disaster imo... At all can we call it an "ending" anyways? Lol... It was just made like a free continuing storyline... Whats more sad is the fact that the producers first said the 2nd series is in development, but then they deny it and said a 2nd series wont be released till they finish the manga and that will not happen very soon. Also they carefully now to not make the mistake from the 1st series where they released the anime sooner as the manga story so they differ abit at all.

What ever and however bad was the ending the anime is a great piece of art and the music was also great. A absolute must watch for everyone that likes animes. Tbh i dont know anyone that didnt saw this anime and he likes animes in general.

I wish that there will be a second season for Claymore because the ending in the anime is like a cliffhanger for a probability of a second season
