This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Alright, we all know how the series kinda derailed from where the manga was going in the end, but I have something of a theory of how they could pull off connecting the series to the manga storyline once again.

Perhaps they could take the OVA (or short movie) idea and start it off at the beginning of the War of the North, before the anime took a turn from the manga storyline. From there, have the OVA follow the manga's direction with the battles, and having it seem like all 24 Claymores got taken out.

And here's my idea of how they can make it lead into a second season:
It's nearing the end of the OVA, and the scene opens over a desecrated Pieta, soon after the showdown between the Claymores and Awakened Beings.

The image pans over the streets, showing the bodies of of Claymore's strewn about, along with the remnants of the couple Awakened Beings they were able to take out. The other Awakened Beings, sensing no Yoma coming from the Claymore's, feel that their battle is won and have left the town and area. A light snow if falling from the now morning sky as the camera pans to where one of the remaining seven lay face down in the street (possibly Clare). It stays there a moment or so, letting the stillness settle in before suddenly, whomever the camera is on begins to stir, slowly pushing herself up off from the ground.

It's obvious that she's not in the best of shape, but the fact that she's still alive is there. Using one of her arms to hold her slightly up off the ground, she slowly takes a look around herself, almost afraid to see if she was the only one to survive. The camera zooms out a little bit, giving a bigger picture of the street around her as she looks around (with maybe one or two other's begin to stir in the background.)

Thus, the viewer is given an idea that there could be something more to come in terms of a series. And it would also be a way to set up the second season/series to follow the direction of the manga.

Based on my experience... I would say that there would be second season for claymore, because the manga is still ongoing... animes that you expect to have a MORE second seasons are animes without mangas

I won't say that this is absolutely impossible, just unlikely.
Maybe if we're lucky enough, the guys pulling the strings might end up tossing us manga-lovers a bone and throw in some OVA's.

CLAMP is kind of doing this with Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
Hellsing eventually ended up doing it after how many years? (albeit by a different studio)

Need I remind you that both instances are examples where there was little to no transitory material between the TV series and the OVA.

Yeah. We should just abandon all hopes of S2 D:
It strayed way to far from the manga and turned really crappy!
and with the way it ended..yeah...it's going to be hard..
to continue it. XD. Ah well. The anime WAS really good.
BUT. THE MANGA IS REALLY GOOD @-@. I wish it would
come out faster though. >_> -bangs head on table-

It seems like a second season could happen given the way it ended, they left the story very open and if they dont continue it its kinda annoying. if they do continue it it will probably follow its own storyline instead of the mange one since its already diverged from it. itd be awesome if they made a second season.

Admitedly I've never read or watched claymore but i am very curious about it!
Claymore looks really good and the character designs are done very well. The illustration and artwork for the manga is very pretty and from what I have seen the anime looks very similar to it.
I dont know much at all about the plot or story though... It is definitely something I have to look into

I'd definitely want to see a second season !
Been months since I've finished watching Claymore, and still, I'd say that I haven't found any other anime that I could compare to it's storyline.

It's really a very good adventure and combination of different emotions as I watch through each episode. It keeps you thinking on how that episode would end, or what would be the next thing to happen.

It's pretty exciting and all I could say is, I want a second season!8)E emoticon

I kind of want and don't want a second season... They need to make up for (what I thought) was horrible ending, but if the second season continues the way that the first season ended I seriously do not want a season two.

Seriously, I hope that they at least release a couple of OVAs.

It's highly unlikely that a second season of the Claymore anime will be made. The ending, which was different from te manga, isn't even te biggest problem standing in the way of a possible second season. The main source of trouble is the number of chapters that would be needed to fill out a complete second season. The manga is currently only barely past the point where the anime ended. It would take many more years before enough storyline material is accumulated to create a second season.

I do think there is a chance we'll get an OVA though. The Claymore ES chapters would make beautifull OVA's, and they give roughly the material for two or four episodes. Regretfully I sincirely doubt the'll make an OVA as well, but it would probably be epic if it where made.

Hope it's coming. Coz the manga also pretty slow too. It's like they release a chapter per month.

Well it is all about money i guess, although S1 was great, its revenue wasn't that good, so they hesitate, i think the manga-straying away thing would be the smallest problem(someone wrote a thing about fillers, well thats one way)
