They left the ending open enough for a second season but they probably wont make a second season. I hope they do though since it was such a great show.

They should at least make an OVA if they want to end the story. It will be a big hit for us.

Yeah, if they released some OVAs following the ES chapters, that would be quite a nice surprise. :D I would be happy about that.
Personally, I think if they were planning on a 2nd season, they wouldn't have deviated from the manga so much towards the ending. Besides, it'll take like 5 years for enough manga material for another season, so..., it's not looking too good.
I hope for a second season, the manga is excellent, they can´t we it of that way!

I never read the manga, but I adored the anime...and I really wish that there will be a second series; unfortunately, there probably won't be. :( It just seems like there were so many loose ends to tie up!

Wouldn't mind a second part, Claymore was a awesome anime.
I really wish they would give us a 2nd season but I have to agree that the manga material currently doesn't really allow that. UNLESS, they (the producers) already know that and plans to deviate from the manga from the start. Following a whole new storyline where Teresa gets re-introduced as a mean killing machine for the organization and etc... *starts dreaming, getting lost in her fantasies...*
LOL. You get the idea. Seriously, I don't really mind if they come up with their own deviation... I mean... look at Mai Hime... *evil grin*
Of course, no offense, I seriously doubt if they can outdo the manga but Hey! another season of Claymore beats another season of *FILL IN THE NAME OF AN ANIME YOU DONT LIKE* anytime! :P

Like I said in a previous post, there probably will not be a second season. I always have hope though and from the looks of it it would make an awesome OVA. We need more animes with girls kicking some serious ass (and no I do not mean magic girls).
I just have to say "Read The Manga!" it is pretty cool, the storyline is far better on it and it continues after the firt's season ending, but anyway the manga it's still unfinished and it takes a while (a month or two) for every volume to come up so still we have to wait =(

I don't think they're going to make Claymore season II. The story in anime and manga is prety different.
In manga, Clare only kill Silver-eye Rigardo, she didn't fight with Priscilla(as in episode 26)that's why the story still go on. Rika, Priscilla and Esley didn't meet Clare in Pieta, Clare still searching for Raki in manga. As in anime, they build up a scence that Clare meet Raki and fight against Priscilla, it make me think that because they want to end the Anime right there. Clare finally meet Raki, almost win against Priscilla...ect..although the character said something like "let's meet agian" or something like that. In my opinion, it's just a "open-End" of story which make people hope for more...more...more...moto...moto...moto...episode.
_Ps: Priscilla turn to a very power full Aweaken Being, even more than Esley of the North, and many things happen after the war in Pieta. Read the manga and you will find out 7 years after that War. Clare becomes stronger too, and there is a new rookie, ranking low, number wa #47...named Clarice - a Faillure of The Organization.

I would say that a Season 2 would be hard to follow because of all the stuff that they messed up at the end of Season 1 and strayed way off of the manga. It would've been better if they followed the storyline. It would be nice if they could do the anime version of when Clare and them return (chapter 76?).

I hope there isnt a second season... cant bear to see Claymore being screwed up even more... =\ i mean it was good at the start until it begun to deviate from the manga...
