It is due to following reason
1. The story is very attractive about the rebellon of the Prince.

C.C was returned in the second season, which is a predictable result
I am currently watching this and was complete captivated by the first episode, there's so much going on and lelouch is an instant-grabber as a character! Really enjoying it so far =D
I've Just Started Watching it, and i have to say i was "pulled in"
just from the first episode, it usually takes me a Few Episodes to Decide if its good

Omg i just loved Code Geass, i mean it was awesome, up until the last min, i just loved the idea of bad guy as the main character for once, just like deathnote. Then at the end of course LuLu has to be a good guy, that was little too cliche

More like, what didn't I like about Code Geass? I absolutely loved it and given the opportunity, I will rant endlessly about how thoroughly I enjoyed it. It was so brilliant in so many aspects, it wasn't two-dimensional and didn't have to rely on dazzling sfx to capture the viewer's attention. The characters were very intricate and detailed and watching them grow emotionally and physically as characters was excellent. There was a nice balance between strategy, politics and fight scenes. The fight scenes themselves were very appealing. I enjoyed it just as much as how much I enjoyed Gundam SEED Destiny, if not more. It had a lot of the things that Destiny provided with the added graphical brilliance of 00. The character of Lelouch was especially splendid and so complex. From his usage of Zero as an embodiment of justice, his quizzical, strategic and brilliant mind and not to mention his deep sense of duty towards his sister. I could go on for ages but I think that's enough...for now =p

I liked it because it's a great mind game, with great characters, great artwork, an absolutely amazing plot, hmm... what else. Oh, and it has giant mechs on rollerskates that can destroy entire armies (but only when alone for some reason...) fire abnormally large lazorz. And fly (because flying giant robots are so much better). Essentially, I like it because it's Death Note with better characters, plot, ending, shinier artwork, better powers and mechs. Yeah.

Why i like "Code Geass", its because i think its so twisted...as in it spins you out. One thing keeps happen after the other... that makes you wonder how they did this and that...i also have to say the graphics were good too, and of course the storyline! Man the author/publisher is one awesome person! the author also added all different types of personality which is something good to watch because this mean drama. That's probably why i like Code Geass! Wait i mean LOVE "Code Geass". =]]

Lelouch is awesome he is like Light, I like characters who are both a protagonist and antagonist. The story is good too.

The 2 main reasons of why I like CG:
-Lelouch; he meets nearly all of the criteria that I have for my all time favourite characters: he's an anti-hero, a genius and capable of love and hate
-the fact that it requires you to think; I really hate obvious plots in animes

The plot twists, the angst, the twisted logic, the pretty boys ehhhhheheheheh and, of course, the exagerated poses. *flails arms around wildly*
The story line is awesome, and it's not boring.
The characters are amazing too, from his behavior and hobbies.
This anime is hard to predict the next story, and this is what make me likes it.
The next story will always make me shock, and I really admire the one who write the storyline.
