I Imagine you notice all the Fan Service on Code Geass

What is Fan Service?
Is the service given to their readers o viewers (depending on case), by the studios of anime or even the MANGAKA of unnecessary images of erotic scenes or point of view, or it can be the extra size on the underwear botch female and male .
Fan Service is the THING in anime, eroge and manga right now.
You can say that fan service has more success in animes made for men. Well that’s true! But I’m a guy who is against fan service… In excess. Because fan service tag anime as PORN. I think this is not true.

Back to point, Code Geass has a lot of Fan Service as you can probably notice. For example, the enormous breast of most of the female characters, the posture or perspectives (Karen o CC) and special scenes.

So what do you think?

I think the fan service is one of the many reasons why I don't like Kallen; possibly the main reason why I've never liked her. The length of the Ashford skirts is also horrible; I can't believe a classy rich school would have a uniform that was so... skimpy xD

Episode 5 of R2 was the worst as far as fanservice goes, in my opinion. Kallen in the suit; OK, if a bit random. The angles they used? The thing that she was wearing underneath? Eww.

Episode 18 of season one (I think x.x) when they were all on the island; Kallen's situation was understandable-she wanted a shower. But Euphie? Why did she need to strip? To make her clothes dry faster? If that was the case, Lulu should've done the same xD

Although I am glad things are starting to even out with the amount of male fanservice as compared to the amount of female fanservice. R2 episode 7 comes to mind; A Lulu x Kallen scene followed immediately by a Rollo x Lulu scene. And the way that Gino treats Suzaku, as well as Kannon's "Both publicly and privately" line from episode 9; sure, for those who don't like shonen-ai it doesn'r even begin to make up for all the shameless fan service directed at males; but so long as the series keeps going like this, I'm not complaining xD

Fanservice have a simple explanation

fanservice > increase of fans of one series > more people watch > more people buy products related to the series > more money

money makes the world go round, as simple as that

Back to the point. Fan service destroy great stories, for empty series with more budget and boobies or bootie. If you want boobies or bootie, win the heart of a girl.

If you think that fanservice is bad you should watch some of the picture books. I don't mind fanservice unless the show revolves around it. This show has great characters and a great plot. When fanservice comes on I enjoy it and laugh. It does nothing to detract from the show.

besides, if you dont like the fanservice dont watch that show. theres animes directed to girls with their bishie stuff too, if you're going to complain, dont complain about only "boobs and bootie" complain about all kind of fanservice. or else this starts to look as a personal ranting of yours

as i said and i agree with you on that point, pointless fanservice completly ruin some animes. however the search started to grow to such high peak, the offer had to grow too. companies have to grow in such high pace to prevent loosing to each other. let me remind you the anime commerce is more fierce than anything you can ever imagine. this to the point the offer is spreading to all kinds to genders, currently there are tons of new animes with fanservice directed for girls, just like vampire knight
and you really think they care if you like the fanservice or not? ofc they dont. if you watch the series just to peek how it is, you're already giving them money

besides, you're comparing completly different things, making misquotings everywhere
1st and most important porn is real sexual contact with real persons, with anime characters that is called as hentai.
2nd even tough i corrected you on the sentence, calling porn to fanservice is way too much. fanservice normally is few parts of naked body, even if its full, they can't show nipples and other sexual organs/relations/content. the thing in wich is called ecchi, and what is seein throughout the anime shows that pass on tv

3rd theres no art on erotism on anime unless its fanservice, if it isnt, then it leads to your so called "porn" =_="

I have so much to argue and explain about what you said Danalm.
BUT I re-read your post, and thought maybe you are right Im talking this to higher level.
Fanservice doesn't really affect me, I laugh like you said each time fanservice come, (for some episodes) then I start observing that filler-fanservice-scenes were talking more space and that what I found that annoying.

The thing is, I WANT to make conscious about fanservice around internet-otakus (after all changes happen oneself). I used to ignore fan service, but more fanservice series are released than good series (including great ones with some fanservice) each year.

I understand how you feel tough, i share the same oppinion that in some animes the fanservice is only unnecessary. however can't go overboard with it.
(if i saw fanservice on dennou coil... i can't even imagine it ._. )
as already mentioned, the epic eps 5... the motive that episode was like that was because it was leaked, and they had to remake. the eps 5 you actually saw was a filler.

but you know how it is, fillers = fail xD

talking about the newest eps, theres a scene where tianzi is sitted on the bed or wtv that is. the vertical pan of it is completly unnecessary, however its there.
another thing i feel the same way you feel for the fanservice, its the advertising
on every eps theres one pizza hut reference... ok its the sponsor, but make CC one pizza eater like pacman. sometimes i feel she only appear just to advertise pizza hut

I take it only Nunnally is the only chic on the block who hasnt been exposed yet. I mean even Kaguya and the Tien-zi empress kid had brief shots of fanservice. Ahhh sunrise, the ever opportunist.

Kallen's fanservice scene is one of what I like in this series (especially KallenxLelouch scenes :D)

I don't think there's too much of it in Code Geass... Though sometimes the production team tends to go a bit overboard with it :p

I dont have any problems with it until it stays in a certain boundary.As Danalm said it exists to make people have more interest in the anime and buy it more just to watch it.And about the money being the main thing.I dont guess so.U need money in this world to live!.If you dont get money you cant succeed.U need money to make urself popular and be known more.Theres a lot of competion going on.And so fan-service is put to make sure that it stands out top.

I dont see a point of removing it.It exists for the same reason.More popularity and more advertising.Advertising doesnt get pizza-hut more money directly.They have to give money so that Pizza-Hut is put into Code Geass to advertise.Then more people come to pizza-hut just cause it was in a famous anime and they get their money that way.An indirect way.

I don't mind fan service really. Most scenes that exhibit fan service could be played out in other situations and still give out the same information. However, anime isn't the only media to do this. Most movies produced from Hollywood have some sort of sexual scene; it's almost guaranteed to be there. Whether it be a woman undressing or depicting the actual act of sex.

As long as the producers don't over use fan service it wont take away from the story. The main thing is to get the story across and how they do it is their choice.

There's a lot less fanservice in Geass than compared to some other shows, but it doesn't take away from the show. It actually provides a little relief from the often tense atmosphere.
