After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I've seen that guy laugh

~Moon-Flower 5 minutes ago
I love his character, Tealk, in SG-1. To see him, portraying that character, laughing hysterically---now that would be a sight indeed...

Not Chrisopher Judge laughing then? (disapointed u_u) *goes to check the link*

Just something funny, posted just for fun.

°august199 10 minutes ago
What's the link for? (For a funny person, it occurs to me that Richard Dean Anderson doesn't laugh much... huh...)

How is the dub for Code Geass?

I'm looking into watching this. If you are biased towards dubbed or subbed i'd rather not here your opinion. I just want to know if the dub is decent or if the voices are great or horrible?

I'm actually a big fan of anime dubs, which I know is considered downright paradoxical for as big an anime fan as I am. I've seen only a couple of episodes of the dub of Code Geass, but it's generally fairly good. The voice actors are high-quality, and the lines are delivered well. The casting choice for Lelouch was a little disappointing. While Johnny Yong Bosch (Vash in Trigun, Claus in Last Exile) can manage to work up enough E-vel in his voice, it simply isn't the deep, frighteningly overpowering voice of Zero we've come to expect. Crispin Freeman, who was picked to play Orange-kun, would have been much better as Lelouch. Overall, it's definitely a pretty good dub, but if you are very attached to the Japanese voices, you might want to avoid it because it can be a little jarring.

The english Code Geass dub is decent if watching the english version is your only option. The original japanese dub is far superior and a lot more enjoyable. I guess for you it really depends on if you wanna either download the fansubs or buy the dvds/tivo all the Adult Swim episodes. I feel that the japanese voices fit the character sterotypes a lot better than the english voices do. And there are some english voices that I really dont like, such as Kallen's or Nunally's. Yet, it doesnt really kill the show so... eh.

tldr; English Dub is good, but original is better.

I've been watching it and I don't think it's TERRIBLE, but it's not the greatest dub either. I find some of the girls' voices to be a bit annoying, but aside from that it's listenable.

My language dubs are always terrible, so I watch only subtitled

I'm generally a fan of English dubs, but I have to say the Code Geass one isn't all that great. Decent, but not worth spending the money on it or anything like that. I'd recommend the subbed version.

It's not the best and takes some getting used to but is generally alright. I thought that C.C. and Cornelia were perfect but was a bit disappointed with Kallen's voice work. Bosch as Lelouch reminds me of a mix of a subtle Ichigo (Bleach) as far as sound, and Light (Death Note) in terms of speech pattern. I thought Euphie was very cute.

I have never thought about watching a dubbed anime (really haven't seen any). Original is the best & the Japanese language makes the right atmosphere, but I'm not saying that the dubs are bad. According to this topic maybe I'll try the dubbed Geass though...( []-[])9 emoticon

Bandai has become rather exceptional with their dubs and Code Geass is graced with such. I wouldn't say it's one of their best works, but the voice acting cast has done quite the remarkable job. Considering how great the Japanese cast was, the English crew had some large shoes to fill and even though I don't agree with all the decisions they made..

SPOILER (click to view)

It isn't the best dub ever, so I'd say it's above average. After all, there are FAR worse dubs out there. I'm looking at you late 90s.

I personally feel that they should of used a different voice for Zero, like the Japanese did. Gives off more of the impression of a secret identity. Rather than using Lelouche's normal voice. It's not a big grip, but it's something that I personally think would of helped

...Unbelievable. I never noticed that Zero had a differnent VA than Lelouch.

(There's no "smacking self" emoticon that I can see, so this'll have to do.)

Anyway, I've only seen a preview of the dub...so I can't really judge it yet. Bandai dubs have always been a bit meh for me...I really would have preferred it if Code Geass had been acquired by Geneon; they've made some of my favorite dubs. Too bad they're gone...

:O *looks above* I never realized that either. I thought that the voice actor was just really good at changing tones >.<

I haven't watched the dub version yet but my friend told me that it was something... different and then she told me that preferred the subbed version XD

It seems that the English dubbed version is not as stirring as the Japanese version although it is decent. By the way, is the dubber of that treachery journalist in both version the same person? The voice of that character in these two versions is very similar.

Just okay. Not too bad like any other Japanese's English dubbed animes, though.

ITs like everyother dubbed anime not good, but it does hold up okay except lelouch sounds more evil in the japanese version, which makes you question what's he really up to where as you don't get that feeling in the dub. But its adequet i suppose for some. (Best DUB Full Metal Alchemist)

I always rant to my friends about the Code Geass dub. In general, it's not THAT bad, but it's not that good either. Some of the voices are really hard to swallow if you've gotten used to the subs. (Such as LeLouch for example, I can't stop picturing Vash the Stampede running around.) And Lloyd is nowhere near as fabulous as he with the original Japanese audio.

Oh! And you guys are mistaken about the Japanese voice actor for LeLouch, it's the same person voicing Lelouch and Zero. His name is Jun Fukuyama and he's an AMAZING voice actor, his range is really unbelievable. (He also voices Watanuki in xxxHOLiC.)
