Actually, i got no particular hatred for any characters, I hate the whole anime, lol, joke, the anime is awesome, really, but i hate it because there are many unecessary scenes, like in episode 12, this was where i started to hate code geass, and in season 2, it's looking more like a porn anime than an anime, cameras always being positioned on the girl's anatomy and so on, whatever

one thing i didn't get though, while going through many forums is, why do everyone hate Susaku?

so far, i noticed, both Lelouch, and Susaku, have flaws in their personality, but can everyone tell me for what particular reasons Susaku is hated most?

You're more like hating the anime itself. Well, if you asked me, I'll have to say that Suzaku has really pissed me to the extreme for today, 28th of September 2008... he will never get forgiveness from me.

He betrayed his best friend! And in the worst way he could! He took him to the emperor and caused him to be away from Nanally! How could he?

I must say I thought Suzaku had a good reason for fighting. But now... he just seems obsessed with power and strength, and a supposed loyalty to a man whose real motivations he ignores. I like the other Rounds better than Suzaku now. Gino and Anya Rule!

I think he just made lots and lots of mistakes in his life. It was his way, but peopl often cant understand some others way, which is not like thirs. Thats all. But Suzaku ended suitably

Well i can tell you why from my perspective

note: i don't hate suzaku LOL if there was a character i hated in CG it was shirley because she did something SoO stupid she caused herself her own death and i think i explained that somewhere within the code geass community lol

i think most people that watches CG loves lulu like literally sees him as their BEST BEST character ever... of course lulu has his own share of flaws but they are all forgiven because he is lulu (for example when he put gun on tianzi's head LOL i was like O_O! lulu omg thats all time low lol) and once they are at the point where they love lulu to death suzaku stands in his way! omg suzaku messed up his plan ONCE AGAIN he needs to go die! (note not everyone thinks or feel this way but im showing you one extreme) and with that thought they will pin point everything suzaku done wrong to prove that he is a detestable character (although like i said lulu has his own share of flaws) so there you go people hate suzaku because hes messing with lulu

this can be proven because so many people started liking him again after he joined side with lulu O_O as a character he didn't change at all right?

like i said i never hated suzaku heck i loved rolo even LOL but people have their reasons

note: people's reason for hating rolo: he killed SHIRLEY OMG NOW SHIRLEY x LULU CAN NEVER BE ROLO NEEDS TO GO DIE when in reality shirley ran in when lulu told her to be safe and stay with suzaku because she thinks she can run into a battle field with no wep and survive and some how become a big help to him O_o

alot of hate has to do with people and their own favorites as for pairing like i stated in another thread i can care less i became attached to most of the characters ^^

Maybe I'm like eddokun says, Suzaku gets in Lulu's way and I love Lulu (though, not my fav character ever) I admit Lulu makes some mistakes, the battle against Xing Ke was all a series of mistakes that took him to a critical situation (and I don't hate Xing ke for that)

I think I hate (or maybe just "don't like him as much as I did in S1") Suzaku because he turned out to be almost a fanatical... I'm not sure about how to explain myself, but as someone else said, he made a series of mistakes throughout his whole life, particularly the venomous way in which he called Nanally to make sure Lulu hadn't recovered his memories.

And I LOVED Rolo because he killed Shirley. Few characters have I hated as much as I hated her. I danced and screamed in happiness when she died and wrote "Thank you Rolo" on my messenger. And whenever I found some friend of mine (whether he or she had watched or not the series) I held him/her by his/her arms and screamed "SHE'S FINALLY DEAD!!!"

I think this is my last post on this topic because I haven't watched any CG after Shirley's dead and don't want to get spoiled.

I wouldn't say I didn't like Suzaku, I just favored Lelouch, so thus I was kinda mad with how he got in Lelouch's way on occasion. However throughout the last few episodes I began to really like Suzaku, what he did in the last episode was Lelouch's (and the world's) wish, and was also his way of trying to atone for all the wrongs he did in the past. I loved the ending to the Code Geass series, and the fact that Lelouch was my favorite character made me like it even more. Although the series makes Suzaku out to be a traitor with a misguided past, in the end he becomes a hero.

I agree best to the perspective of eddokun, to me, most people have been hating susasku for those reasons, but Lulu too did his part of low moves on susaku, but i believe many do take Lulu's part because of the last episodes of season 1, where he decides to use geass on Susaku to save him, could it be?

Of course Lelouch made his low things too, I didn't hate Suzaku for the low hit to Lulu, but Nanally... Nanally! I mean... he pretended that Nanally heard her own brother say he didn't remember her! That was way too low for me, Nanally is too fragile, listening to that would have been too painful. I mean... Nanally! She should be like... no one should even think of hurting her.

I don't hate him I just think he needed some kind of resolve which he got in the end lol. He was a pretty interesting character for me though, depending on how the show went you could either love or hate the guy. That's what I felt most of the time, it was the same with Lulu lol. Now it's finally finished, time for me to move on to bigger and better animes I hope.

Hmmm interesting point, i agree on that, but the main idea i think in the anime which was inserted at the start was that it was a game of chess, and every character were, chess soldiers that had to be moved accordingly, and while Lelouch did his part as soon as he got the geass power, Susaku did his part as soon as he got power to change things too, hmm but now i think, you are right again, i mean, if you notice the difference between ... wait, is there a friend for who Susaku still cares? now it makes me wonder, cause, even if Lulu did many low steps, he tried always in the end to save his friends, while Susaku, did he even tried to save someone or always kept sacrificing others for his goal?

I felt somehow the same when she died in that episode, mostly the way she died too, with the geass going berserk, she even did fight the power up to the end, that was what made the anime, more catching and thrilling, these little things, if it wasn't for the e.scenes, i'd give Code geass a 10/10, and i felt the same way as izzy 4 about the anime ^^

^i do think suzaku tried to change the world for everyone... you can clearly tell he cares for alot of people much like lulu... they are very similar yet very different... they have different strengths which combines to match no one as they showed during season 2... they both hit all time highs and lows... they are like polar opposites yet not? ^^ i still think both characters are very interesting

suzaku tried to get into a high position within britania and tried to change the way they work things from inside... but to do so he first needed power... much like lulu he wanted to change things from outside and he needed power... i don't think suzaku would have turned lulu over if he did not kill euphy... because lulu did not give an explanation as to what happened and took all the blame =(

as for the nunally thing he wanted to make sure lulu was not faking it because he believed lulu would not lie to nunally but lulu used rolo... i mean if you are talking low look at all the ways lulu used rolo LOL i loved rolo but i love lulu also hahaha so for me i can like all type of characters

but like i said some people have the shipper type of like where if they like the one side they cannot like the other? i think most people on this thread understands me let me give another example anyone watch shugo chara? the war on ikuto and tadase amuses me to no end... they are not even really enemys LOL and they seriously have their "reasons" omg he is so gay i just don't like him O_o
