Everyone hate Susaku?
@~eddokun
Oh you are a girl. I didn't read your banner, so sorry for the misunderstanding :P. I know you didn't quote maverickslayer post. I wasn't telling to Maverickslayer that he got your comment wrong =). Moreover, I agree with what you said just above.
@Katelyn
So you think, Suzaku was useless. I will not speak about Suzaku as the knight of Zero because, I think everybody will agree that he wasn't useless at this time. But everybody will say it because he was on Lelouch side. I can't bear that we doesn't hate Suzaku only because he helped Lelouch at the end, pfffff.
So, do you think Suzaku was useless when he allowed the japanese to quit eleven zone ? I'd like to remember in the first season not the totality of the japanese agreed to Zero's methods. Some consider Suzaku like the true hero, the man who will change things from the inside and will show the real and good path to make the situation evolve.
Please don't think I dislike Lelouch, I prefer Suzaku a little so I defend my best character.
@Maverickslayer
I was commenting the ridiculous post above mine. The post of edyim which is totaly useless.

eddokunlike i said i like lulu better because i like his characteristics but i like suzaku also and seeing people hating suzaku just because he gets in the way of lulu irks me... unless someone can give me a solid reason... it just sounds like the reason is he makes lulu's plan fail omg must hate
that was the point i wanted to reach from the start, but didn't mention it in the start of the thread, to see who do think the same way as I do, or if everyone are seriously blind and hate Susaku for no real logical reasons, even when i remember the many people who told me "hey Joey, you're going to hate Susaku a lot in this, mostly after you've watched what he does to Lelouch" and each time, i felt like, eeerh a disappointment or something like that, i was expecting him to do someone really really disgusting each time, but, bringing Lulu before the emporor, and so many others, weren't really that eeerh bad, i mean, suppose, I, was Lelouch, and did this much, if he brought me forward the emporor, knowing that my best friend was unaware that all I was trying to do from the start, was trying to change things around in my way, well, i couldn't really hate him for i never told him so, and on another hand, if I was Susaku, even if i brought Lelouch before the emporor, am sure it's nothing worse, next to killing such a woman as Euphie ( still not knowing how she was killed and stuff, which doesn't really matter, cause when your 1st love dies, does it really matter how she did leave, what matters is she left, and can't be brought back again )
so
reply to Katelyn, oh my, sorry, I got to totally disagree with that, useless you said, well, let's take, death note as example, Light, and L, both dies in the end, but still, can any of them be said useless? no cause they are the main characters, but how about the background characters? the police, and so on, were they useless? if so, the story would have go in a totally different way, so the plotting wouldn't have been captivating as we did find it to be, same here for code Geass, Susaku had his role too to play in this short story which tries to put both, actual human flaws in a sci fi world and how extreme a man who has nothing to lose can be, Will said Susaku is his favorite character, mine is Lelouch even if i like Susaku a lot, because haha, physically we're almost alike but also on personality, like i think someone mentioned, Susaku is hmm too conservative type, stubborn that things can be right only by using right methods, but it's not a flaw, it's just his way to see the world, which i kinda understand, who never believed that the world could be as easy as this? while on another hand, Lelouch was too pesimist and thought no fair methods would bring this chaos to an end, but which is also a quality too, (note, quality that i did find in Light - death note ) you can't have all characters in an anime to have all the same personalities, but am not saying you're supposed to like them all, right now i can't figure of a character that i hate except of Shirou from FSN, but well, what i mean is, unless a character is really a monster on all grounds of human values and so on, then i'd understand for people to hate him, but for Susaku, i say and remain on this point, that so far, no one do point a real reason for him to be hated this much ( by this much, am referring to the enormous amount of threads around the net saying "who hate Susaku" or, even each time there's a picture of Susaku around, someone would say he's a pig, this really gets me upset, how can an anime character be a ... oh well, human's stupidity amazes me a lot lately, anyways i hope my point was reached in this thread still
reply to Will, oh that comment, haha, at least it was short, like someone once said, instead of telling your mind out and prove people that you're stupid, stay quiet and let people wonder if you're or not, and sorry again for the confusion eddokun, I thought your comment was towards the injustify hatred against Susaku >_<
Alright I’ll try to be a bit more specific as to why I do not like Susaku’s characteristics and this is for Eddokun, Will and Maverickslayer. I understand that he went through a lot just like everyone else but this is why I couldn’t stand him, being stubborn can be a good and bad thing, and that was the case with Susaku. He naively believed that by joining the force he could make a difference. Humanity has free will and thus equals the good and bad, no matter where you go or what you chose to do in this life, as long as someone else is in command, has the control, you can and in some cases will be manipulated and used to satisfy their vision of a peaceful environment/world. I’ve seen this happened quite a few times to some friends of mine and hell, it has happened to me.
It’s the typical story of the man that goes to Church every Sunday in hopes that God will bestow some blessings to himself and his family, and this same man throughout the week has healthy alcohol problem and beats his wife to a pulp. But does anyone bother to intervene? Of course not! He’s a good man they see him at church every Sunday and so on… that’s just one example and I’m not saying that Susaku is necessarily like that but to me he does sort of have that characteristics, he’ll turn against anyone who doesn’t follow the RULES, you know what I mean? I don’t hate the guy and was a little off in saying that he was useless. Looking at things now to be honest he wasn’t useless, I’m sorry, I was caught up in the moment thinking about him in my last post and he just pissed me off, lol. As far as others hating him to the point where they don't even like seeing his picture says a lot about their personality and you would be surprised at some of their ages. If you want to see a real conflicting forum, you should check out some of the Macross Frontier ones. It's just ridiculous to read now. Some people take these things way to seriously!
Look at least Susaku tried to atone for his sins many times and I’ve got to give him credit for that. My problem is I can’t stand people who blindly insist on following the rules no matter how messed up it obliviously seems to them, they continue to persecute their friends and family in the name of justice, give me a break. If we should look back at all the major horrendous atrocities that happened in the past you will see that it was all done for the greater good of humanity and also they claim it all to be GODS will. That’s one of the main reasons why I stay far away from every religion, every one of them has their own ideal God and they can do no wrong. I’m happy that Susaku lived till the very end though because he kept me entertained just as much as Lelouch. Oh, and in my opinion Lelouch is still alive that boy is way too cunning to be dead. I'll be more than happy to answer any of your questions and thanks for taking the time out to read my comment, lol.

I admit Katelyn that you wrote a good post. And I have nothing to say against you this time =).
I was only waiting someone who'll tell me that he can't like Suzaku for his kindness and his stubornness to follow the rules. Because it is true. But he didn't do it every times. Sometimes he tookk his own judgement to make the choice, the good choice.
But you are right when you said that in real life, some rules don't have to be follow and people to kind can be easily manipulated. But in my opinion, rules are necessary. =)
Heu, I didn't get the point with the man who go to the church, lol

Okay Will, so you didn't get the man that goes to church story huh lol? It was a lousy example but it had meaning. I guess what I was trying to say is that as long as people appear to be following the rules, everyone will be okay with it and overlook all the bad that person does. Susaku is the same in a sense, he follows the rules and overlooks the bad within them.
^I see where your coming from but i have to disagree... because suzaku did not look over the bad parts... especially with the church point ^^ because suzaku did not believe britannia was doing the right thing... remember he joined forces with them to change them from within not to go along with them and act like they are doing the right thing... i don't think people going to church believe they are wrong and are going there to change them... an example would be from the very first episode when they told him to shoot lulu he did not he said he cannot do sumthing like that even though he was ordered to do so... so he was trying to do what lulu did but basically overturn britannia around from the inside out while lulu was trying to destroy it from the outside... and if you think about it there were people who shared his view that might have helped such as euphy but of course that didn't work well...
but ya the church thing in real life piss me off also because i know couple of cases of such and it makes me so mad -_-

I agree with Eddokun one more time. Suzaku doesn't follow the rules stupidly.

Suzaku was actually my favorite character in Code Geass. The character I hated was Shirley, she always seemed to get in the way.

That's true. She always phoned Lelouch in the wrong moments. If she had not phoned him, then the soldiers would not have found him in the first episode. So, he would have never received Geass.
However, I still do not hate her. I only agree that she always seemed to get in the way.
