Everyone hate Susaku?
I hate him cause he betreayed his friends family and country in my eyes their is no reason what so ever to betray any of those three things
he betrayed *friends* lelouch when he turned him in after figuring out he was zero
he betrayed his family when he killed his DAD
he betrayed his country when he joined the brytanian army and also when he didnt give them the choice to fight them before the invasion

@ Onirica : I got to agree that Kallen lacks some background, like, she decides to fight, but the reason is light, and she comes to fall for Lelouch and even after knowing that he used her, ... well, and the way she's dressed haha, all girls are like that in CG i guess, i kinda hate anime studios for thinking that such things are needed to get audience
@hunter8906 : no worries no off topic, but still thanks for sharing your point, I do think same about Susaku's personality and role in the anime
@mangopulp : hmm interesting, so according to your point, britania is just made up of bad people, and why it is better to side with japanese, hmm, but ain't Kallen half britanian? same for Lelouch? and Nunnaly? and so many others i believe, the anime made it seem maybe as one side was good, but there was none, and Susaku just tried to change it in his way, as Lelouch did, he wasn't really betraying his Nation, he just had divergence with the methods, everyone can do have these, and just being hated because of that, it's a little weird don't you think?
@xii012 : the shorter the better, as the saying tell, if that anime went longer, you would have end with a 2nd naruto or pokemon, i believe it was alright to end it here, animes which ends short are usually the most famous and catching ones, example, death note, Fullmetal Alchemist, and so on ...

@ crimsontide14 : hahaha, sorry, eerm okay, well, pal, you hate susaku for the same reasons you like Lelouch it seems, ain't it? Lelouch manipulated his own friends, hide the secret of him being Zero from his best friend, hiding is almost same as lying, and lead many maybe unecessary deaths, like the father of Shirley, and don't let me carry on, Lelouch even turned against his own country, Britania, what's the big difference with Susaku?

I agree with maverick, Suzaku killed only his father, so that the surviving citizens could live. Lelouch (I dislike people calling him lulu, but its their choice) killed his brother with his own hands, contributed to the deaths of millions of people, and attempted to kill his own father.
Really the only good thing about him is that he tries to make a better world for his sister. Deep down he's a monster and he knows it, and he hates himself because he reminds himself of his father.
Everything Suzaku did had a deep political meaning behind it. He captured Lelouch to become a Knight of Rounds to ease the tension between the numbers and the Britannians. He killed his father so that the country might live. At the core of it, he joined the Britainnians in an attempt to make the lives of the numbers better.
Can Lelouch justify what he has done? "I did it to find my mothers killer." Really? Truth be told, he probably could have asked Euphemia or Cornelia to help him find out who did it, god knows that they loved Marianne almost as much as he did.
@crimsontide: Lelouch is a spoiled brat that tries to justify his sins by hiding behind the greater good. Suzaku admits to his sins and they torment him. He tries to rectify his sins by making the lives of the other numbers easier in the hopes that the violence will end, he even hesitated to sign the order to kill the number that tried to kill him at the beginning of R2. There is my opinion, well thought out if i do say so myself. Do i win a prize? Or do i at least get a cookie?

I don't like how he switches sides all the time. Either you are with your friend or not and if you change your mind once that should be it.
Reply to RoninXI : i do admire your answer, but life has shown, and anime do usually try to reflect life, that is, things aren't so simple, black is not usually just black, nor white is totally white, you might not get the sense, but, in your life, you won't happen to love one person only, suppose you're a guy, you might fall in love, for two, three, four persons, would you tell me, you fall in love once, and end of story?? course not, same here, he change side, for the situation was no more suitable to his morals and for the values he was fighting for
reply to hunter8906, i agree with you, i do dislike the nickname lulu, but well, even wonders why they came to name him like this, and no nickname was ever given to other members, well, except from orange kun! lol the most funny one

Well i didnt really hate Suzaku much until he betrayed lulu : [
In the second season, i really hated him, but then during the end of the second season, i started to like him again cus he was on Lulu's side :D

@~crimsontide14 : this is interesting, my bad for thinking you like lelouch, but i can't agree with you on something you said, manipulating isn't same as lying, this is really some strange thing to say, it's like saying, taking something without asking isn't really stealing, to manipulate, you have to fool someone, can you fool someone with truth only? now another thing, suppose you manipulate without lying, meaning, in some way, you're imposing your will, your wish, over someone's true will and wishes, and you claim it's not as bad as lying? maybe? but it's still bad right? for Lelouch being half britinian, right,
you said, Susaku betrayed his family when he killed his dad, considering, you were a 6 year old kid, and had as father, a man like, hitler, but an innocent mind of a 6 year old kid, how would you have felt to have a father as such? it's not betrayal what he did, he did what he thought was right, for his father was going the wrong way, i'd give you credit that he was too young to take such a decision, but circumstances most of the time shows that there are time for decisions and time for taking measures, he just took the right one according to how he felt about the situation, and i don't remember him killing his dad without crying, meaning it wasn't a cold murder, he knew it was bad, but at the same time, there was no other options
he betrayed his country you said, i never remember Susaku saying "i hate japanese and will join the britanian because they are better and got lot of mechas", he said he will join the britanian for he thought, doing terrorism, wouldn't change the system, but instead worsen it, what was wrong? it was a divergence of point, that's all, it just happens that the generality was against it, it would be like, you tomorrow saying you hate football, and all guys would say you're the shame of mankind, does it really mean you betrayed your nature? you just like what you like, fight for what you want to fight, and your reasoning always is yours only, if other people say it's wrong doesn't mean it really is, there was some meaning in him trying to change the system that way, if the upper weren't corrupted people already, his methods would have worked, believe me
now, the 1st point itself, today, you are really close to a guy, his even your best friend, and tomorrow, you learn, that he eg. cheated with your sister, is a member of a gang (you won't know how much things someone can hide, as Lelouch did) Lelouch himself, considered Susaku as his best friend, but didn't reveal the secret to him since the start, and now, try to put yourself in Susaku's place a little, you did fight hard, and saw many people important to you being put in danger and even died, and then discover that your best friend, is the reason of all this commotion, let me tell you, since you make it sound as simple as "betraying best friend is a sin", that, best friend hiding things from best friend should be a sin from then,
honestly, i am not sided for Susaku or Lelouch, i like both characters, they both, have interesting aspects, even, if they are quite the same, what i did appreciate is, even if the got common points, these points, were hmm ... "exploit" sorry, not getting the right word, in 2 different aspect, which would let the person watching to decide which is good, and which is bad, but the real thing, is, there was no good side, no bad side, at least, the britanian people were bad for willing to conquere or dictate the world, but between Susaku and Lelouch, they were both right and wrong in their own aspects, it's the way they acted that decided everything

@ hunter 8906 : sorry i forgot the prize, and it is ... the prize of being a smart person ^_^
@ t3nsai : I didn't get why you hated him, from your reply, it was a matter of side, but, the fact they are friends doesn't mean he had to follow Lelouch like a little puppy around, neither Lelouch had to do the same, they were both enough mature to take their own decisions and bear the consequence of their acts, don't you think?

I think not everybody hate Suzaku... My friend is adore Suzaku.... But I don't hate Suzaku... and not love him tooo........... hehehehe...
Suzaku justified killing his father by saying he didnt want people to die but in the end people still died during the invasion
yes you can manipulate someone with thruth only as long as that truth isnt the full thruth is like when you get letters in the mail saying you have already won X amount of money untill you read the fine print
first of all hitler did have children and if i remember correctly none of his children killed him and just cause you thin your doing the right thing that doesnt make it true i could go out and start shooting drug dealers and think im doing the right thing but that dont make it true thier was an other option he could of sucked it up and realized that most people were going to fight anyway and the only way he was going to say that they were going to fight was for good morale that makes a big difference in combat
just cause he never said he hated jap doesnt mean he didnt feel that way o and i already say i hate football cause only wusses were padding when playing sports his methods could of, would of, should of worked but guess what they didnt lelouchs way did though the best way is the way that gets results the fastest
the best way to make sure a secret is kept is to tell no one keeping a secret isnt such a bad thing especially when hte secret involves no one else except for you ok lets say i was suzaku and all that i would be mad about is that he didnt include me in the plans
just cause lelouch knows that what he is doing may not be the best way to do it but it is the only way that true results can be achived especially when a system is as corrupt as the brittanian system

I hate Suzaku. And how could you hate Kallen? She's hot but not only that she's a good supportive character. Done nothing wrong whatsoever. Suzaku is stupid cause he's a pawn of the government, and he's sooo into like it's his life. He's trippin balls most of the time about Zero... he's a pussy and takes revenge on the most stereotypical and overrated way. Nothing is unique about him.

crimsontide14the best way is the way that gets results the fastest
hypothetical situation, I want to invade your country and get you out, i know you will try to resist. "the best way is the way that gets results the fastest" So i nuke your entire country into a radioactive hole in the earth that even god wouldn't take a s*** in...thats the fastest way to get results, by far that is not the best result.
and both of you are fogeting the fact that lelouch and suzaku are not fighting for the same thing. Lelouch wants peace through a world war, suzaku wants peace through living like humans not barbarians
@~crimsontide14 this is an interesting reply from you ^_^
for hitler's case, well, in old days and even now, children are really influenced by their parents actions, in code geass, it was showed clearly, that, not only Susaku didn't evade the rule, but also, had a mind that matured fast enough to be tormented by these acts than rather influenced
but just cause you think it's wrong doesn't make it true either and the point wasn't about who was true or not, but to be following what one did thought was right, as you think it's right to never betray, some might not think so, and both just live accordingly, for, right or wrong, truth, lies in the eye of the beholder, just cause you thin your doing the right thing that doesnt make it true
now you're trying to read to far, if he really hated Japan he wouldn't have even tried to change the system, about the ways and methods used, it's obvious Lelouch would have ended using such type of actions, Susaku didn't know about Geass and such, and plus, even after knowing few, he didn't know how corrupted Britanians were and still thought, things could be change without massive terrorist attacksjust cause he never said he hated jap doesnt mean he didnt feel that way

here again, you clear your own answers, while he thought it was the best way, Susaku too did, but that doesn't mean anyone was right or wrong, the proof, both ways did cause many deaths, showing that nothing is perfect, but both had a good will from the startdid though the best way is the way that gets results the fastest
