After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Rabbit, maybe you should seek advice from people outside the internet and not from a bunch names on a screen.

It was the best ending possible for the series, but it still left viewers wondering what really happen. I mean you could argue that they left it open just in case they had a third season. After watching my fair share of anime I have to say that I have come to expect ending like this one.

In my eyes, Lelouch is most definitely dead. Even though he carried all this weight of being zero, losing Euphy, Shirley, and many other people that he loved and were extremely close to him, it is no wonder he wanted to die. In real life, those of us who have lost all that they have, sometimes only wish to die and be with their loved ones etc. And that is the point that the directors of this show are trying to bring across. Lelouch wanted to die, though not remembered as a hero, but for the evils he had committed so as to bring peace to the world, as stated in the final episode in season 2. As with before, it is most likely that C.C. is speaking to Lelouch in a "spirit world" just as she spoke to his mother while Lelouch was still alive. Lelouch wanted to die, and went to a happier place, where he could seek atonement for what he had, and be with all of his friends and loved ones that he lost; especially Shirley.

It is the best ending that the animine maker deliberately not telling the trouth ,to remain the space to let every one imagine about it.

Although I know there is a lot of things said supporting both theories (and I don't want to start the discussion again) personally, I think Lelouch didn't die in the end of R2. I saw the series again last week and I have to say there's a pattern in Lelouch's actions... He says every time he plays chess that the king is the key piece (duh, pretty obvious though), and I think that's the thought he always kept in mind. Everything he did was always to ensure the ultimate survival of his king... only his king was himself, Lelouch, and Zero was only a pawn to get to his real goal. So I think in the final scene where Zero "kills" Lelouch, he passes on him his geass, as he already closed his deal with CC and had gained immortality. The thing is he sacrifices everything and the love of everyone he loved for their own good, but he is a selfish person deep inside, so he couldn't stop there. Lelouch is the kind of person that can't stand to loose, and ultimately he wins... in his own way.

I've read the arguments over whether or not Lelouche is dead.
Here's my opinion on this whole thing.
First off, Okouchi and Taniguchi intended for CG to be a work of art and like any other artwork the interpretation of the meaning of the piece is up to the person viewing it.
I used to think that Lelouche was 100% dead, now I'm of a different opinion.
I think what Okouchi has said in both the magazine interviews and in the R2 Official Guidebook is that Lelouche Li Britainnia is dead (in the Same way that Suzaku is technically dead, but is now Zero) and that FOR HIM the show is over.
However, we viewers are given the choice to determine for ourselves what we wish to make of the end scene with CC and the tantalizing artistic simulacrum (not in the literal sense) of the cart driver who may be interpreted as being L2/R2; or we can choose not to see it that way.

That said I'd like to say that I've already seen the Japanese version (subbed) as most of you have here, twice, and I'm now currently watching the [adult swim] english dub whic is at episode 22 currently.
A few points I've picked up this third time that I ignored before but have a second opinion of now that I'm watching CG in English.

1) We never see VV's Code sigil.
2) CC's Code sigil only shows when her Code is activated.
3) Charles takes VV's Code very quickly in eps. 14/15 but we don't see the process (most likely he touched him and nothing more, like Charles tried to do to CC to take her Code).
4) We see Lelouche shoot Charles in episode 14 and bleed profusely after Lelouche Geasses him, thus "killing" Charles.
5) In episode 21 Lelouche gains full Geass thus giving him the power to steal/receive a Code from a dying person with a Code.
6) Charles has a Code, he touches/Chokes Lelouche and thus Lelouche MAY have taken his Code, but the writers/director has left this vague and unresolved (I think on purpose).
7) Nannunally has her "vision" into Lelouche's soul/mind in a very similar manner to what Lelouche sees in ep 1 of R1 when he touches CC. Is this a Code in Lelouche or just Nannually becoming a CG version of Professor Xavier? Your choice.
8) We see Lelouche smile after Suzaku guts him. Why? Again a very vague artistic representation.
9) CC cries in the church for Lelouche. Again Why? Is it because he's dead or because like her he'll live forever? I used to think it was because she knew he was going to die, but since I've seen this in English I've come to change my opinion and I now think that she's shedding that tear because she doesn't want Lelouche to suffer the hell of living forever like her, even if it's with her.
10) The whole end sequence with CC talking to herself/Lelouche. I used to think she was only looking up at the sky until I watched the sub again and saw her head move towards the front of the cart as if to speak to the person in front, but again this is very vague and can be interpreted in a number of ways.

So I'm now in the "I'm not so sure he's 100% dead" line of thinking.
The persona known as Lelouche Li Britainnia is dead for sure, but I'm now warming up to the idea that Sunrise left this open for him to have a Code and be R2/L2 as some have speculated.
Since the ending was meant to be open for interpretation (as Director Taniguchi said in Newtype Japan's interview) I think it's safe to say that the possibility of L2/R2 being alive with C2 is wide open.
Besides, Sunrise/BanDai has never been a company to pass up milking a cash cow, and Geass was certainly that. ;)

I like the ending of season 2. I'm the type that believes Lelouch is dead, of course it's all based on his personality. He's the type to carry on and complete his tasks regardless (it's his ego ;]). His death is his way of showing remorse, since he's taken so many lives, his death was his atonement - and he knew it. His already lost almost everyone close to him, so why live on?

I keep hoping some miracle happen. I never believe he died at first.
Then when the screen played [THE END], i cried. Sigh. This is so sad.

I hope if he is alive. Like I mean he planned then let C2 help him?
lalala... nvm.

Zero Requiem was a convoluted plan to begin with. Become the anti-messiah to create world peace? Be so bad and evil that any leader who comes afterward looks like a saint? Even Nunnally wanted to be a villain for the sake of the greater good and world peace. Sorry to say this but Lelouch did not think things through that well for a cunning genius. Even with the "death" of Lelouch vi Britannia, there will always be another tyrant that will want to control the world. What is to stop another Schneizel to rise to power sending the world into paralysis? Atonement by sacrificing millions of people's lives to become the sacrificial effigy is still not right.

From the time Zero Requiem was initiated, to us Zero, or should i say Lelouch would be known as the evil tyrant, as well as the messiah, for like the real messiah (im not catholic) he beared the 'fruit' of all sin. Furthermore 'Requiem' means "mass of the dead", sure it does have such religious connotations, and sure they do symblise alot, although i dont believe it was intended for a pure connection or basis of religion. It just portrayed him as the 'tragic hero'.This is why he was safe. In addition to that, Schneizel has saved Nunnally by using two different planes. One plan in which Nunnally was has been out of Fleia's range. The second plan in which Lelouch and everyone believed that Nunnally were departing has been hit and furthermore the light that surrounded Charles and CC only appeared right when Charles tried to take the code and ended right when CC pushed Charles away signifying the connection between the light and the code transfer. If the light had continued after CC ran away then yes, I'd say it has nothing to do with it, but the light stopped right when she shoved him aside. It may not totally prove my theory but it doesn't explain yours either.

I thought this was the best series ending I have seen in some time. There really wasn't some big plot twist in the end sending the series a different direction. To me, Lelouch is driving the cart, and Suzuka's role is perfect in the end as well.

The ending was beautiful, and made all of Lelouch's crap worth it. I believe that Lelouch obtained the Code, passed his Geass onto Suzaku, and is now immortal like CC. I don't think Lelouch is dead. He's a liar, manipulative and deceptive- How many times did pull stunts, like making people believe he was in one place while we soon found out that it was just a pre-recording? Lelouch never really wanted to die for what he did, he wants to live on and watch over his sister. He fought to pave the way for world change and a new way of thinking, and I believe he's alive so he can watch the world change. Suzaku faked his dead, and I think Lelouch did too. He brought all of the world's hatred onto himself, and so once he "died", all that hate would die with him. The world can move on, and they need to believe he's really gone this time.
