After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Lelouch had better be alive! I love him with all my heart and I sob everytime I see the ending (which I watch often, the music is beautiful) If there is a third season, i will be sooo happy P(T_T) emoticon

It would be nice if he was still alive... but the ending was superb. I wouldn't change a thing. What makes it so nice of an ending is that it makes us want more because its such a great anime! xDD

The ending, it was the best I ever saw! Even if it had ended with the 'death' of Lelouch, the developers certainly did not waste anything. They've put a tremendous effort into that last piece, the action, the words, the music, everything was there. The ending, it was a masterpiece!

That is not to say that I entirely agree with it. Yes, even if he died, the ending, no, the entire anime series was a masterpiece, but... it would be a perfect series if he did not dies.

Was the death of the protagonist an inevitable outcome? I doubt that. Indeed, the writer could have chosen another route, why not make Lelouch stay as The Emperor Of Justice, that is before he initiated the Zero Requiem, and it would end there, a cliche but happy ending.
To say that the writer should not take the route that leads to his death would mean that we are denying the writer his rights over his story, but with all respects, could he have take into account the opinions of us, the viewers.

But, I think it's all too late. A long time has passed since the series ended. And judging from the situation, it seems unlikely that the developers will make a sequel to this story. Though, even if the developers themselves declare that he is without a doubt, deceased. I would not submit to it! I would continue to believe that he is alive!

Now, I would like to voice out my opinions.

The death of the protagonist who was merely putting on a facade to the entire world, deceiving them into believing he was just another dictator vying for absolute power. Yet, behind that mask, lies a noble cause, to unify the world and eliminate all violence by directing all the hatred and blame towards himself, thereby facilitating peace.

It pains me to see all the other characters who know not of Lelouch's sacrifice living happily, these people, what have they gave for the peace that was achieved! What did they sacrifice for it! Nothing! Even if there was, the measure of it is meager compared to his sacrifice!

What did he sacrifice!? Many! He lost a great many friends and family, Shirley, Rolo, Euphemia, they all died! He faced many; troubles, dilemma, near insanity, all were present. He gave up the chance to live a normal life with his sister and instead set out on another path, all for the sake of the world. He had been betrayed by destiny, time and time again; he was forced to kill Euphemia, he discovered the evil truth about his mother whom he had thought to be an ideal mother, then he was ultimately forced to face his own sister Nunnally, whom he would never ever want to harm in any way or form! The list goes on...

Until Episode 25 : Re; where it all ends. Even after giving so much, why had fate still wanted to take more from him.

This is what it is, Tragic. For one who had suffered so much and given so many, fate still continued to mock him. To be a selfless hero who plays his part in his own tragic opera, and continue till the bitter end. This is the ultimate heroism I've ever seen.

Even if he is not the perfect hero, it is an allowed weakness. For someone who has had a sad childhoodlike him, plus his post-childhood life, it is understandable why he made the choices he made, some right, some were not. All in all, it was natural for a Byronic Protagonist to be so.

Nevertheless, Lelouch. You will always be the ultimate anime character of all time.

In Honour Of Lelouch Vi Britannia (2000-)(He still lives!!) The 98th Emperor Of Britannia, Formerly The Eleventh Prince Of Britannia, Seventeenth in line for succession,
Son To His Majesty Charles Zi Britannia The 98th Emperor of Britannia and his consort, Her Highness Marianne Vi Britannia The 98th Empress Of Britannia, Brother To Her Princess Nunnally Vi Britannia 87th in line for succession.

All Hail Lelouch!!
Long Live Lelouch!!
All Hail Code Geass!!
Long Live Code Geass!!
All Hail Lelouch!!
Long Live Lelouch!!
All Hail Lelouch!!

P.S Please bear with me if I were to be highly emotional with my post.

I liked the ending of the series, even if it made me kind of sad. I think it was awesome. And I think it was nice that the authors made the final scenes play out in a way that would keep fans guessing on wethner Lelouch was alive or not. I'm not sure if that was their intention, but it turned out like that, and it's good. CC's haunting lines at the end are so vague, they can go either way. Is she talking to a ghost, or to the person in the front of the cart? I don't really know. After learning of his sacrifice, I wish he was alive. But if he planned on faking his death, that takes a lot out of his final noble act, so, in my mind, he did plot his death, but just happened to survived by chance without really meaning to. So now he's left to live the rest of his life peacefully, away from everyone he's ever known ('cept maybe CC), but knowing that everyone, especially Nunally, will be alright. |(n_n)| emoticon

Zero Requiem was a convoluted plan, but then again, most plans in Code Geass were. I mean, Lelouch since the beggining wanted a peaceful world for his sister, and his way of achieving it was instigating a war. ~(@_@)~ emoticon I don't get it entirely, but in CG it seemed to make sense, so Zero Requiem seems like quite a logical plan in that universe. And it really made me respect Lelouch realizing that since the moment he stepped out of C's world and into the throne of Britannia, he had already decided he would die to make everything alright. (n_n)-b emoticon

It's sort of sad that people won't ever know what Lelouch did for them and that he'll go down in history as a terrible tyrant. But then again, that was exactly what he wanted (so we shouldn't feel bad about that), and it's not like he was innocent (in the slightless). And Nunally did find out, and realized her brother wasn't that horrible, and that he really cared for her, which is probably more than enough. However, it's also quite hertbreaking when she cries and says that she only needed him, because it makes us realize what a great thing Lelouch did for her, and how incredible unnecesary was all of it. Unless until we rememeber their maniac of a father, but otherwise...

I do feel kind of really sorry for Suzaku, as he did seem to take the worst part of the deal. He had to kill his best friend of sorts, and kep on living with the guilt of everything he had done in the past, for which he felt quite horrible already, and all the suffering... And he seem alright with that. Despite all the psychos in the show, Suzaku is the one character who I'd heavily advise to get serious therapy.

Either way, I'm not against a third season of Code Geass, but I do hope that if they ever do one, they don't make a direct sequel of this one. These characters have gone through enough, and they deserve to be left alone.

But I think the third season will ruin Code Geass (in my opinion). I think it's great that they left a mystery at the end so we can guess what happened. But then again it is a little annoying because I want to know C.C.'s real name >D

Awesome ending, it glorified Lelouch as the hero when the other chracters didnt, and effectively died for the sake of everyone else.

Furthermore it left us questioning whether Lelouch is really dead or not... thats an ending

i totally agree with you straight up. i loved the ending! one of the best i think.
i thot it kinda sad how few people realized tho.

and about lulu's death...cc is still alive yes? i thot that cc would die if lulu died? 0_o

A friend of mine give me reason of why Lelouch could be alive, he joined the clan of C.C. because he fulfill part of the contract with her, of being loved again, if you remember that she said that. When C.C. had the contract with the nun and obtained the geass, the nun wanted to die or get killed or something involving death as her part of the contract,C.C. did that and become part of the Geass clan and got inmortal. And I think the same goes with Lettuce, I mean Lelouch xd. Or something like that D:
I really really really want to know C.C.'s name.
