Thanks for that!? Ban...
No! i can't believe what i read here T_T
it really makes me so sad, i can't accept it!
Lelouch will never ever die!
he's the main character, if he died the whole thing is non-sense for me
why Lelouch must be the one to sacrificed? why? why? i don't understand that!
Code Geass is the only anime that inspires me like this and among all the anime characters that i know only Lulu is the one that touches my heart like this
so i'm hoping that he's really the driver of the cart! Please!
I don't believe also that Suzaku can do that to his bestfriend T_T
sorry about my reactions, but I have not watched the Code Geass R2 because I'm really busy with my school stuffs but I will find ways to watch it
Oh Lord! I'm praying that Lelouch is alive, please! please! please!

I don't understand how you could read a topic like this when you haven't seen the ending yet ? don't spoilers touch you ? you don't care.
I know that I will be able to kill a man for a spoil in code geass! I'm joking of course, but I will be very upset =)

I found the ending great, I love the whole series. The whole package was good, eventhough I would have wanted for Suzaku a better path. In the end all the plot twisting from the begining gave birth to an excelent ending.

LOL
!? well then...
Well if you watched maybe you would understand. Oh and one more thing:
Yeh! WTF!? haha...
The other symbol that suggests Lelouch is alive is of course the Origami Crane sitting next to CC. In Asian countries the Crane is a symbol for longetivity and wellbeing. Code Geass has employed many symbols in the past to represent many things and emotions... including this one.

I have seen the whole series of Code Geass. In R2 C.C. explains that the king took V.V. code which made him immortal and that her wish was for Lelouch to kill her, in turn taking her code and becoming immortal as well. While the in the World of C Lelouch kills the king when he uses his geass on the World of C. Thus from what we were told it is highly probable that Lelouch got the code from the king when he killed him. And he can't do the same thing his mom did because that was a result of her own geass, so Lelouch can't do it. Also all in all if none of this is true I still believe he is alive and he was most likely the guy driving the cart.
I could expected that ending for Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 cannot believe this wasn't really a good ending instead it is the bad ending of last episode. There would be a spoiler warning though. To be honest couldn't blame of Director but the biggest problem is those executives who made the mess whole entirely. I thought Lelouch tries to save world against Charles Brittania. Ok back to the ending opinion. Yes it might be true Lelouch and Suzaku died, while the innocent and mysterious C.C. survives that she deserves it. Look at Ohgi, he became 'baka' for zooming out and thinks of himself about death by the hands of Viletta, he should be lucky during episode 16 was saved by Viletta before he falling to the cliff nearby at peninsula. Karen/Kallen was returned to her normal life thats most different among the characters. Still, Lelouch sister Nunally became the empress of Brittania. I'd say cannot blame the director. Anyways that is all for now.

The ending was amazing. Although, in my opinion, Lelouch is dead and that C.C. may just be talking to Lelouch just as Kallen did for the epilogue.
On the other hand, there are possibilities of him being alive considering how Nunnaly was able to see parts of Lelouch's memories which only immortals can transfer.

Big bad news for Lelouch-being-alive supporters.
Someone said that a Code Geass official site stated Nunnaly has a heart-reading ability thanks to her time in blindness
Since I'm pretty much lazy to write them, I'll quote them out of anime-otaku's blog

nullI just want to point out that the official Geass-net mobile site explains in Nunnally’s profile that her blindness gives her the ability to see through the hearts of people just by touching their hands, and in the final episode she found out everything with said ability. Officially, that flashback scene had nothing to do with Lelouch and Codes.
C.C.’s profile has also been updated, and the final part of it now says: “Knowing that Lelouch does not hate her for giving him the Geass, she is now able to show her true feelings. With the realization of “Zero Requiem”, her time with Lelouch, who was able to forgive and accept her, came to an end, but the memories created with him has, without doubt, saved her from eternal loneliness.”
Having read this, C.C. appears to have been talking about herself when she said this line in the end: “The power of the king will isolate you… I guess it turned out a little different after all… right, Lelouch?”. The power of the king eventually leads to immortality (Code); C.C. had the power of the king and for a long time led a lonely existence, but she is now no longer lonely, thanks to her time with Lelouch.
Unless they update Lelouch’s profile with some kind of “but maybe he didn’t actually die” line, it seems to me that officially, Lelouch is 100% dead. None of the magazines seem to think the ending is at all ambiguous, and none of the staff and cast members seem to think so either. Okouchi, especially, appears to be pretty final about Lelouch’s death in his interview (”His life had not been in vain. That was why he smiled in the end”, along with his explanation as to why the punishment was necessary from the beginning). As for Taniguchi, he said only 2 things: (in the NewType interview itself) it’s up to the viewers whether they want to think of the ending as a Happy End or a Bad End. He thinks of it as a Happy End. As for what the epilogue meant, the viewers ought to work it out for themselves. The meaning behind C.C.’s final line appears to be part of what he wanted viewers to think about, though Geass-net’s already given us the answer to that. Lelouch’s fate, is, IMO, not part of what he wanted viewers to think about, because as far as the staff members are concerned Lelouch’s fate wasn’t at all ambiguous.
By the way, Shimomura Takaharu, one of the staff members involved with advertising, wrote in his “Parting message to Lelouch” (from Animedia):
“Let’s all go to the World of C” (For more details, refer to the R2 drama CDs)
Looks like SE6 will feature a track about everyone going to the World of C.
Tomikawa Kiyoharu (Production Desk) has this to say to Lelouch:
“Rest in peace. I’m begging you, please don’t come back ever again. (The animating process was just too much trouble!)”
Most of the staff members’ parting messages for Lelouch are pretty hilarious, and are in keeping with the Geass sense of humour.
The quote was taken from Celiss Galvea, among the most trusted translators of Code Geass information on the web.

The ending was awesome. Completely satisfying
& on the subject of whether or not he died... Well if he died, then he fufilled his goal and could die in peace.
& if he's alive then I suppose he's just chillin with C.C in the world he created. Of course de wouldn't be able to be with his best friend or beloved sister, so I don't think he'd be too happy >_>
either way there's not going to be a third season >_> If there was that would mean that the world Lelouch created was flawed xD
So I don't really think about whether or he's alive or dead. The ending was awesome, and that's all that matters to me xD

The ending was depressing, although it was realistic and it was probably the most reasonable way to end the series it was just to devastating! :( I was almost to tears and probably started crying by the time Lelouch had finish his speech. Argh why must it be like that...and the ending is pretty open ended too. I don't think lelouch survived but it would be always so nice to have him come back. :D Everyone is celebrating while the secret is concealed. So sad!
I think ROLililala1618 bring us the answer about the question "Is Lelouch alive ?". For me it was clear from the beginning although some people expected the contrary. His sacrifice was true and it was the only possible redemption for him.
So I just want to pay my respect one more time and for the last time to one of the best characters I had never met in an anime maybe the best after Suzaku, of course =).So...
All Hail Lelouch!

I think I started crying just before Suzaku stabbed Lelouch. The timing wit the music/sound/lack of at that moment is EPIC. I especially liked how they showed Suzaku's grave. With Arthur sitting in front of it
But yes, crying whilst watching subbed things = not fun. It's hard to read the subtitles when your vision is blurred by tears xD
I think the saddest bit though is Nunnally's screams/sobs. Especially since everyone else is just chearing. Well excet for the Black Knights of course.
Kind of irritating that Kallen didn't realise it was all Lelouch's plan till the very end though. Would've thought she'd been smarter xD

@~chinaman91:
I've been reading some of your previous posts and I must say that while you were able to prove that people indeed must first die before becoming immortal you consistantly failed to prove that Loulech ever aquired the code from Charles. All that happened was you said (i'm paraphrasing btw) "Loulech is immortal, why else did he allow himself to die, so therefore he must have acquired the code from Charles". But no where were you able to prove that the exchange actually occured. Where in all of the episodes did we see a scene showing the code switching hands? You proved all your other points extremely well, just failed to develop his one. Beyond that I like your idea that we should all accept whatever outcome we wish to occur.

'To live in the hearts of others is not to die' - Kahlil Gibran
Truely one of the best endings I seen from also another great anime series.
But I do have my suspicion that Lulu has lived, in one sense or another inside C.C. internal world, very similar to Marianne continued to live on through others.
I view this controversy as a good thing, leading to possible future series of Code Geass; it would be very cool if C.C. and Lulu became future mentor's to the next generation of heroes/heroines.
