Well yeah I'm sad but at the same time I'm really happy that something like that made me feel sad. It like ... it makes me feel alive you know...it makes me feel human.The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good. There cant be a third season unless its a prequel... Lelouch is gone. Period. End of story. I liked the end of the last episode tho. That was cool. I would have liked it eve better if Kalen and Lelouch had gotten together, then who knows how the story would have played out.

What I find most common with recent anime productions is that the longest would be around 2 seasons. Like Shakugan no Shana, Zero no Tsukaima (Some would say 3 seasons but each season was 12 episodes long so 12 episodes shy of a proper 48 episode 2 season), Rosario Vampire (Season 2 not yet finished). I could list more but it would just detract from what I'm trying to say. 2 seasons is the average maximum length of any popular anime. Of course with exceptions like Bleach or Naruto but that is probably because the manga of each respective one is still ongoing and not to mention long. So I guess if you want more than 2 seasons then it needs to be based off a manga that have volumes of content while being unfinished by the mangaka.
Doubt there is a 3rd season cause the creators said so.No way they can continue the story with the world at peace now.Rumours are they making a OVA of it though...

Whether there will be a third season or not, i think it would be best if there wasn't. too many good animes milk it for too long. They start off good, but then they run out of plot points and it becomes remembered as one of those animes that went down the tube.
Lame there has to be a third season....I want to see C.C real name...AHhhhhh and want to see hotty Kallen one more time

I would like to have a third season but we can clearly see that there would be less exciting events that could take place since some characters died in the first two series.

There's probably going to be a third season or at least a couple OVAs. Maybe some sort of retelling of the second season.

I'd like to see an OVA all about Kallen. Can't get enough of her! Maybe even a spin off series. "The Kallen Adventures" (Working title lol) 
Oh and they should make that episode 3.25 (or was it 3.5?) picture book thing into an actual full length episode. No the whole episode wouldn't consist of the bath scene! Get your mind out of the gutter! lol A large chunk of it would though.
