Final Fantasy 7.
I was like surfing around the net for some mmorpg gaming or something and i stumbled across something about final fantasy 7 i heard they MIGHT remake it for the ps3 with like no changes hopefully and just an add of minigames in stead. anyone have a confirm on this.. or do you all know abou this rumor already..? I heard its like going to take them 5 years if they're going to do it cause they have to make the battle system like the graphics on ff7ac movie..

Last I heard, it was just a rumor. I can't tell you for sure if it is or not, but if it is, I will camp outside where ever for a week to get the PS3 and the remake of FF7 if they decide to make it.

I forget where I heard it, but I read that Square-Enix, stopping with the slew of games their making for the ps2 (i.e. Dirge of Cerberus), they are stopping with the FFVII spin offs.

Amen. Though FFX2 was Square's last game.
Squenix has yet to satisfy me completely. I'm having fun with Radiata stories...and that's about it right now.

I, for one, will most likely be buying the remake for ffvii. The truth is, there's plenty of money left to be made by ffvii. And while I'd prefer a new game over a graphical upgrade, there was a lot of things unanswered in the game, and i'd love to find out more about it. Advent children helped fill in some holes about what happened afterwards, but it wasn't nearly enough. Plus, who wouldn't like to see this game powered by PS3 graphics? So yes, I'm part of the fanbase responsible for square's decision to remake the game. And I'm not ashamed of it either.
If any game deserves an upgrade it's 6

Hell ya does 6 deserve its due. I have played every FF game made except 11 online (Believe it!) and 6 is still my favorite. By far the best villian with that annoying laugh you can't help to love. 14 charctors to choose from, as well as co-operative team missions. two worlds to traverse, not one, as well as a awsome story. I could keep going but it is clear that is outshies the rest. Even though the added cg's to the PSX version were cool, they still didn't improve it like they could have.
The same for FF7 that is being mentioned here. The news you heard about is correct for the PS3 but it is going to be the same just cleaned up. For example, the opening will be smooth not poly-like. And most of the cg's and cut sceens will be redone to have Advent children looking charactors. When I saw a demo of the old vs remake on G4, there was a huge noticable difference. But OG is OG and the present is the present. Combining the two can be dangorous!

Considering the power of the PS3, CG movies are obsolete. We've got real time now.
Look at the FFVII tech demo. Imagine the whole game like that.
And solutions to unanswered questions?
You're asking for a sequel.
Unless you mean you want the same story as the original and want it to go more in depth, there is no point in a remake.
And if we're asking for more extras. The only thing I would want is to fight more of the Weapons. And basically it's turning into an FFVII "International" in contrast to the FFX/FFX2/KH and their International counterparts.

When are they gonna make a game that looks like the Advent Children movie. Woudlnt it be cool to play as Cloud in an action type game (Devil may cry style)..cmon wake up square!!
I wouldn't mind a remake of FFVII. The only reason i say that is because if the graphics are fixed to par with the current technology then the game would be unbeliveable in my opinion. Just fix the graphics and keep everything else the same, that is what i'm hoping for.
