Officially, they say before the end of 2006. Unoffficially they hope to have it out by April 26. Most game shops say March 28, but I don't believe that. Most recently I heard March 1st, but that sounds too optimistic. Moreso, "this spring" but that sounds kind of vague. I'm praying for the April release.

So far, they say it's taken time since they're working hard on the voice actors, they want top grade acting. Oh, I hope they get it right. Also, some speculation on a theatrical release, but they're having difficulty since Advent Children wasn't made in the correct format for a theatrical release, it was orginally only supposed to be on DVD. Also, I've heard of only about three confirmed voice actors, and they cover Elena, Barret, and Rufus. The person who was supposed to be Cloud supposedly walked out on the project in the beginning of this year.

Amazon also lists it as being released Jan 1, 2010. Seriously, I think they just chose the latest date possible just to stick it on their website and have people reserve their copies "four years early". Something is up with that. Personally, I can't wait for it to come out since I'm gonna buy like three copies of it, then wait "patiently" for Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core to come out.

Also, there were rumored monetary issues since they want to use the same voice actors in the upcoming games, and the actors would charge more. Meh. As long as they a good job, I'll shell out full price for those.

By the way, what's wrong with subs? The Japanese Voice acting is incredible. I got a hold of Advent Pieces, and I must say, it's my treasure. *clutches dvd case*. ALL MINE!!

I've got a friend of mine who went to Uwajimiya in Seattle and he got the Advent Children DVD...
But it was in Japanese with Chinese subtitles though. No English whatsoever. T_T

Personally I Lve rading...just not while Im trying to take in the whole scene ya know? and engilsh dubbs(most) arn't that bad, and yes I have seen part of it in Jap. on youtube.com in english subed and I didn't care for it for the stated reasons, but everyone is entitled to an opinion I suppose :P I really just want it to come out all ready :(

It's a very good movie. I know a friend that put it on his ipod. I'm also waiting for the US release so that I can have a hard copy. (I wish I knew how to make my own dvds...)

According to such sites as Digital Bits.com, I have heard that the date of this movie has been put on hiatus and we'll probably not see this movie until the latter half of this year. This has something to do with the distributor wanting to add some special bonus features or something to that effect (their official reason). My guess is that they hit a snag with the release of this film but it could be anyone's guess as to the real reason why.

I downloaded a fansub of it on bittorrent. I'd like to get the official version, too, but I don't mind waiting for an English release. It's a fun movie, but not good enough for me to have to need right away.

The official release month in france is June 2006... I seriously doubt you have this DVD AFTER US... So March 28 seems to be a logic and sane date...
