I saw it once and it was really confusing to me. I didn't really understand what was going on half the time. Probably if I was to watch it more maybe I would get it.

Nope havn't seen it. why do you not give me your animes? :P
just kidding.
just kidding.
I liked it and thought it was a good, mature film. However, seeing as I lack the patience for most feature-length anime, I have to admit that I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I should have. Satoshi Kon (Tokyo Godfathers, Perfect Blue, Paranoia Agent) fans should definitely see this, though. The creatively presented story is a big draw, and it's not terribly confusing so long as you pay careful attention.

I have seen it, and although it's a bit confusing, basically it tells the story of an actress and mixes her real history and her works; I found it so well done that you can't tell whether what it's shown is her life or her roles.
I recommend this masterpiece to any anime fan ^^

I loved watching it. It's more of an animated movie rather than an anime. It's supposed to be about undying faith and devotion, but I dont think Chiyoko had enough reason for her to chase after anything really. She talks to the man with the key for about five minutes in the movie. It seems like a pointless goal in life to keep chasing something that's not there. Oh well. I love it anyway.

Mishelljoogo: I don't think it's about chasing the man related to the key, i think it's about her following her heart, and that key is just an excuse for her to keep on moving. Like an incentive, it's not really necesary, but it gives you strenght.

^What I'm saying is that i dont think the meeting with the man should have gave her that much incentive. It would have been better if there was more of a relationship; maybe if they made out or something. But from their five minute meeting it seems a little too unrealistic for her to chase something ultimately was never there. I mean if it wasn't about the guy, then what exactly was she chasing?
ehh I'm not a romanticist I guess.

I loved the movie. Probably because you had to concentrate while watching it (I like those kinds of movies).
