I have two that I can't really separate. The first being the final battle in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The dramatic long winding steps, the creepy organ music, seeing Gannondorf, Zelda and Link all in the same room, Triforce pieces shining. Great moment. BUT, the best part of it isn't until the escape, where the castle collapses and *shock* SURPRISE! Super duper evil Ganon, and all you can see is his glowing eyes and shadowy form, getting small glimpses in the lighting from the sky. Extremely awesome, and something that will never leave me.
The second being from Super Metroid. Getting into Tourian, beating the same Mother Brain from the NES Metroid, a ho-hum battle. But what's this? Oh snap, it's got a body now. After a hailstorm of missles, the big MB finally snaps and shreds you down. BUT, the best part is your ol' buddy that you saved in Metroid 2, now GIANT sized, comes to your rescue. Sadly, is killed by MB...and that's when Samus gets into super pissed mode, gets all rainbow glowy and proceeds to pwn the hell out of MB. Shooters/adventure games didn't usually feature this kind of storytelling back then, so it was very one-of-a-kind.
I can run off tons of these, but these moments in particular have stuck with me for a while now.

Hm, there is not really a moment i really liked. But i LOVE all Final Fantasy games - just cant get enough. The moments i liked most are the endings of FF 8 and 9(kiss, kiss xD).
I also love the game "project zero" and its direful atmosphere

Man. Special moments, eh? =^.^= I'm terribly sympathetic and empathetic (aren't those two the same?) and also can relate very much, so there's a lot of moments...*sweatdrop* There are some that I can still remember, like in Fire Emblem (the conversations...) and in Golden Sun. Final Fantasy also.
Man, I keep looking through here and realizing how much I'm not a gamer...
Well, I liked the scene with the chick in the bathtub in Eternal Darkness. It was kind of one of the few scary moments of the game, so that was cool. I also liked the boss fight. I usually don't like boss fights (majority of the time I don't even do them) but I liked that fight.
and um...
Yoshi's cookie. When Yoshi gets chased by the giant cookie. That was awesome.

Ahh . . . some of my favorite momements were when Cloud had to cross-dress as a girl to get inside the Don's mansion. I was lauging so hard during that scene. Also like the final boss battle music -best final boss battle music ever imo.
The time I witnessed when Chrno died in chrono trigger. I was like, "Is that a joke? Are you kidding me?"
Apparently the game was not... it was a pretty big shot in the foot.
Yeah, and Aeris dying in FF7.

I had so many that I can't count them all XD Well, the one memory that stands out the most would be during Resident Evil 4.
Anyone remember that giant fish monster you had to face off against in the lake at the early part of the game? I read up in gamefaqs and somewhere it said "When you first enter the area where you fight Del Lago, the monster in the water, head down to the dock. If you shoot the water about eight to fifteen times, you will get see what he thinks of you."
Sure enough I tried it, Del Lago the fish bust out of the damn lake and ate me whole along half of the wooden pier -.- It almost gave me a heart attack...

-The first time I was able to make a Hadouken and a Shoryuken in Street Fighter 2. It was something... special :P lol. Also, my first victory against somebody else (in SF2 too) was too shocking for me. It was like "OMG I BEAT A LEET PLAYER!".
-The first NES game I beat (excluding Super Mario Bros), Megaman 2. I couldn't believe games could have dramatic and sort of sad endings. I still remember the tune when Megaman is walking.
-The first time I played FFVI, and I discovered games could be pieces of art when all elements (graphics, sound, gameplay) are combined perfectly. Too bad its sucessor (FFVII) partially ruined that vision :(
-The first RPGs I completed (FF1 and DW1 for the NES). For some strange reason, I found more satisfaction beating DW.

There are so many I can list, but I'll keep it short.
- When Aeris got killed by Sephiroth in FFVII. I already knew it was coming but it was so sad =(
- When Zero sacrificed himself in Megaman X and when he got "destroyed" in Megaman X6
- When Old Miltia turned into Proto Omega in Xenosaga II. Now that was freaky. Cool, but freaky.
- When Balamb Garden became a moving fortress in FF8. Now that was a surprise.
- When I got the Ragnarok in FF8 and Squall and Rinoa were sitting there and "Eyes on Me" was being played in the background. Very nice and touching scene.
- When Abel's Arc appeared at the end of Xenosaga II. That just blew me away and really made me excited about the next Xenosaga.

Back then when MK 1 was still popular I really enjoyed the time we were finally able to activate the blood code for the sega genesis version and when we are able to do the fatality.
Finishing RE 1 it took me once more than 5 hours XP then I tried to go for the rocket launcher.
In DMC 3 where dante went down from the tower running fast and shooting at his enemies XP the scenes are really cool.

Hmm... I'm sure there are plenty more memories from games you've all played...
the most memoriable to me... well now that i'm playing Tales of Destiny II (JP) all over again.. The biggest surprising moment is when I broke off Judas's mask to find out he was
Since FFVII was one of the greatest memorable games I thought I'd share my favorite part being that part in the flashback --- where it tells the true story of what happened at the mako reactor in Nifilheim when cloud faces off with sephiroth... it just maked my eyes open when cloud gets stabbed and still takes the sword and throws sephiroth off - which at that point i was laughing my ass off - but that was a great memory from that game ~ one of the few many that are in that game ~ on a side note, I really hated how the OVA: Last Order poorly protrayed that scene... It really pissed me off how cheap it looked dispite it being most of the work was probably centered on FF7:AC around this time... At least that's what I think... so it was probably a low budget spin off... but I also really liked Vincent's introduction... the first time I played... I was probably 8-9... and I opened that coffin o.o; - probably had influences on how i am now =)
Another rpg~ Wild Arms 2 - probably one of my favorite RPGs on the PSX - I just had replayed it recently as well, and off the top of my head - I just loved the metamorphsis for Ashley - i really disliked their choice of naming but the game itself was just too good ~ and I renamed them anyway >.>; that time when he becomes a demon... then knight blazer... then the golden one o.o i forgot what it was called... and then at the very end... for the last battle Lord Blazer! it just didn't stop suprising me!
More rpg - Suikoden 2 - there's really someone that I quote who tells this scene really straight forward
This is from some guy at the gamefaqs.com postings in the suikoden v section... i totally forgot his name but I give him credit on explaining this monster so well... o_O
As much as I'd love to go on...

Luca Blight... Man...
He's vicious. When a villager once asked him to spare her life, he told her to act like a pig. She did, and he then cut her down, saying "Die pig!". It doesn't get much crueler than that. He has no qualms cutting down children either, and revels in seeing suffering. He's one of the few villians in RPGs that actually kills the subordinates that fail him.
He's tough. In a massive-scale battle, his unit slaughtered hundreds and hundreds of your soldiers when you thought you had him trapped. To beat him, you had to attack him with three parties of six characters each, then watch him get stormed by a hail of arrows, THEN duel him (not sure if steps 2/3 are in the right order) to finally take him out. What's even scarier... that wasn't near the end, but he was probably tougher still than the final boss.

That Aeris died was really sad ;___; I almost cried =s
But my real favorite moment was the moment I killed ganon in Legend Of Zelda : Ocarina of Time.
It took me ages to beat that game and the moment he screamed at the end because I killed him with my final blow was amazing.
But the rest of the ending kind of boring but that scream moment of him always amazes me when I replay it = D

Mh , my favourite moment in gaming...is...the scene with yuna and tidus in the water (FF10) it was a very nice moment or? ô-ô
Final fantasy sure give this kind of thing.. I can't say how much but it's just... well.. great..
When Aeris died, i left my mouth open and "WTF!! What happened?? Is my CD or my PS all right??"
Yuna and Tidus in the water is definitely great, since it's in PS2..
And my fav is... (sorry, it's a little off course) every killing in GTA.. I like killing in GTA.. Made my stress gone somewhere..
