I don't think there is a purpose for the payments, just that you have to do something painful or tedious, perhaps something that you hate? And I think the list here really displays that!

Another power that would be fun is to be able to change my appearance to look like anybody. This could be fun as well as useful, eg for espionage or even just to get free entry into a club! My medium would be an item of DNA from the source, similar to Chiisanasora's medium (where he/she can tell that person's future)

I guess my payment would be to disfigure myself. So the more that I look like someone else, the less that I look like myself. And the less that I look like myself, the more I will want to look like someone else!
