Yeah, the title says it all. Who's the REAL heroin in Darker Than BLACK? ^-^? I really want to know. You see, yeah, they give you the obvious hints that Yin is the heroin, BUT, they don't really show big developments, and the person who...er.....ki....kisses Hei the most is actually Amber, and Yin didn't even get a hug! Gah! So, yeah, what do you guys think? ^-^?
Yea, the story ended too soon, but I have to say that the heroin doesn't have to get it on with Hei. You could say that the main girl lead really is more of Kirihara, considering that they both played big roles

Ngyaaa! Hm, might be actually Kirihara, but I sure hope it is Yin. ^-^;.

Bai maybe? she was the one who discovered the organization thingy
Nobody is the heroin, at least I don't know any of the characters take it. Kidding aside, I think that Kirihara is the heroine. IIRC, half of the screentime is dedicated toward her side of things. Amber, though, co-saved the world. Man, it's so hard to opinionate myself on this.

Ha ha ha, yeah, there isn't very much stuff they give about the heroin. But, you see, there was this part where somebody asked Hei, "Do you have something in the world where you can risk your life for?". Remember? And then later, Huang was talking to Hei, and then he just say, "Oh, so that is it.", and then the camera was focusing on Yin! Muhihahahaha! ^o^. So I do hope that Yin is the one. Bai? Hm, she's his sister, so I don't think she's the heroin, except for those really sister-brother animes, then the sister can be the heroin.
10 votes for Yin! Hahahahha! ^o^.

Bai can't be the heroine because she is already gone now. And if you can assume that the heroine can be some mysterious person who only appears a few times in the series, then she might be, but that is not how a heroine is. She will appear throughout the series helping the main lead if there is one, or being the main lead herself.
Amber is more of an antagonist than the heroine as she is pushing Hei to do things he doesn't want to do, so not helping at all.
The police officer could be kind of a heroine but she isn't exactly helping the contractor world, though you could say that she doesn't want them to all be killed and also might in fact, be wanting to establish some sort of cooperation and lifestyle along with them.
Which leaves Yin. Aside from being a doll, with allegedly no emotions and feelings, she has the ability to surprise by being not like a doll at all sometimes. And she is helping out Hei in his missions and he cares for her as can be seen how he feels that she is the first one he wouldn't be prepared to take out if she became a threat, making Hei quite a different contractor himself. And, although it has nothing to do with her being a heroine, personally, she was my favorite female lead in the series. So I feel that the heroine part should definitely go to Yin.
