This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

I have a feeling that most of the people will be against me & I might get a lot criticism.
Ok,
So now a days it’s quite obvious on TV that clothing is becoming less & less each day. Why is that so? Does it make you look cool? Wearing mini skirt below a t-shirt is a lot cooler & cute rather than wearing just an underwear. Fergie (female singer), her new song called "glamorous" has become a lot more popular than "fergilicious" though in "glamorous" she wasn’t wearing bad clothes. So it kinda proves that bad clothing isn’t all the time necessary for publicity. Similarly, Paris Hilton. Does it kill to wear little more clothes?
I just wanna know that does it make you cool & popular to wear very deep & low necks & very less clothes?

*sigh* I am ready for criticism…

I don't find it cool or popular. Rather sad, that people follow some star or person on tv. I see girls of 10 years old that wear miniskirt or other things that when I was 10 I wouldn't even dare to wear. I love to wear normal clothes. I don't like miniskirts, or tops where breasts are almost hanging out. I don't find it pretty to see it either. I think more like well that is provoking, but well it is their own life so I am not going to say anything. I find it sad that such a thing is more and more normal.

wearing miniskirts isnt that bad now adays & i also think that but the prob is that women dont wear proper miniskirts anymore. the thing that is most saddening is boundires are vanishing, like a few years ago there used to be a certain boundry in clothes that the tv would show, not anymore. there will be a time when there will be nude pictures & stuff & people will not feel a thing!

Hmm I actually agree with you fama-chan! I feel it isn't important to dress insufficiently to be famous! I think the fame obtained by less clothing is ephemeral! It doesn't really make that much of an impression or make one look cool! Even with clothes on people do make a statement.

Well the only thing that less clothing attracts is attention to hem lines! A song would be more famous because of its video than the lyrics or music ( which are most of the time crappy!). These songs aren't even heard on regular basis! Why only songs its the same with movies and series!

This is a very interesting issue, I've observed that change in tv alot, some for the better some for the worse. Personally, I don't find it necessary for people to use almost no clothes to be popular or 'cool'. It's true as you mentioned fama-chan, I also find nothing wrong in the use of miniskirts, I mean come on, why not? It does look great on girls, it's just that the limit on shortness now it's well...rather too short, you end up looking up her miniskirt on tv which is not appropiate given that alot of younger people watch tv as well.

The problem is, tv reflects generally (not always) what the public wants to see. And if the majority is happy watching people like that, well, the TV shows will just keep providing that, so in a sense, the people who appear are somewhat also victims to the desires of society, cause for instance if one doesn't wish to wear those type of clothes then the TV shows will just find someone else who is willing.

Thus, if you really wish things to change or to have as you say 'limits', where you should start is by making society aware of the issue.

First you gotta think about why less clothing is considered morally "bad" in society.
Less clothing is more sex appeal right? and the only idea of sex appeal being "bad" stems from religion.

I don't mind it, I don't get why people should mind it, such small things are unnecessarily controversial.

I don't quite agree there. I'm a Christian yes, and of course I like looking at girls since I'm also a guy. I'm just explaining that society in itself is evolving too much around sex. Surely there's more things than just 'sex' out there? Wouldn't you agree?

Because a very large population of the male demographic want to see fewer clothes. Media only means to satisfy its audience, hence the pattern of skimpy outfits. What is shown on TV is neither good or bad, its how you perceive it that counts.

Yeah I agree.
More to the point I think my greatest opinion would be the fact that this topic about sexual appeal shouldn't be much of a big deal. XD

I actually don't like it. The more I see girls wearing short skirts and mini shorts the more i get the feeling their not a very indepth person. Its a stereotype yeah, but can ya blame me from all the stuff on the TV? anime too, girls can wear jeans and not have their panties flashing when they run

I don't find it cool/popular at all. I think it is really stupid to always keep getting less and less stuff on them. Like really, just put some cloths on and do what you got to do...lol...

It’s not a surprise for me that the great fire storm once again disagrees with me! As for having a problem, I don’t have problem with people wearing clothes like THAT on TV I don’t care!!! I started this topic just to get opinion of others just to know what they think.

Woo hooo this member agrees with me!!! You are right about songs. I don’t why they find it so difficult to wear proper clothes.

Yea exactly! That’s my point to! I mean a lot little children watch TV & then they ask stupid questions too. My little sister, she asks me a lot of things which I can’t answer about TV shows. It’s like they are poisoning mind of young ones!

I again agree with on this one. Religion doesn’t arise controversial among people. People themselves are responsible for this.

How can you make sexual appeal a less big deal! It’s something in human nature. You can’t stop people from feeling. There is part in our brain special for sexual activities. You can’t just cut that part out!

Wearing miniskirts makes you cool? lol, yeah right.

I have nothing against short skirts in general, but relying on them to make yourself feel cool is pathetic. And I mean the actual skirt- some of the clothes on tv don't qualify as a separate garment anymore.

I don't even turn on the fashion channel nowadays. My little cousin was once watching it and then this half-naked model walked onstage and I was like 'WTF?!'

No one else reacts to seeing that kind of thing anymore.
