This my first try at doing an wallpaper and i've only got some hours of photoshop soo i think the result isn't nothing spetacular but i think its ok.
Please give comments ^^

Need more exrtraction on the character (it is essential)
The font doesn't match and need more touch
And need more work on background, put beach scene will be good or more abstract ^^

Thanks for the advices i will start working on it ^^
1.Clean more the image,extrad it again or try fix it..
2.Change font and put it in othe place
3.Image will be look better if you put it on left or right side/corner
4.Change background,put some scenery or try paly with some abstract art..

The extraction needs alot of work done on it, maybe you could use the Pen Tool to help you? It leaves great straight lines on the scan ^.~ But the scan needs alot of extraction work on it, and maybe you could clean it up too. The font could do with changing too. ^.^
I agree with everyone else about getting rid of the current background and maybe using a more scenery background, a beach as TheSisterPrincess and mili suggested ^o~ You can use a stock photo. Good luck with the wallpaper ^o~ Ganbatte~! And don't forget to add your sig ^^

I've spent now 3 hours in extration and now it really looks very nice ^^
I dont have a tool pen so i've got to go with the good old mouse.
The scnenery i was really thinking in changing it to a beach and put the char at one of the sides.
The letters were just a try but just got really bad...
I only have some hours of experience in photoshop so there are somethings i cant do already but i will try my best ^^^
In the best possibilities tomorrow i will update the image.

It's ins't still fully perfect (my opinion) but the final wont differ very much from this:
