This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

I my own personal opinion, most american dubs are just not as good as the original japanese voice actors... for the most part...

what anime do you guys like where is the american dub is (in your opinion) good?

I thought the Get Backers and Gundam wing dubs were ok... alot better than like... naruto or one piece @_@

Ghost in the Shell was ok...but I've never found a dub that I'd take over a subtitled version.

The best ever "English dubbed" Anime was IMO..... Cowboy Bebop. The English Version was so brilliant that I didn't even care for the Japanese Language Version of that Sereis, and the Movie.
Spike Spiegel was... awesome. He has this typical Bounty Hunter Cowboy Type voice, so soft, so smooth, so coool. I can't descrribe it in words alone. you have to stick to the English Version of Cowboy bebop...

Others:

Dragonball Z,.. some Characters, like Vegeta: Brian Drummond dubbed him pretty well, I still have the DVD in my Collection.

And Street Fighter was actually dubbed pretty good, especially Guile and Ken,... actually all Non-Japanese Characters.

That's all I remember spontaneously...

Cowboy Bebop was good... Spike's voice is to drool for ^^;

Eh actually Im not hating FMA's VA's either. And DBZ'z Goku's voice isnt bad. (I hate young Gohan's, young Goku's etc...)
Ghost in the Shell... RahXephon's dubs were good...

When I first started watching anime, and it was primarily only on US TV or dubbed VHS, then naturally I was really only exposed to dubbed titles. Those I enjoyed, and not having any knowledge of the Japanese versions, had no complaints. Many years later, and much more knowledgable, I find it hard to watch dubs. I can't even stand listening to the DVD menus load up, or watch trailers (when they are dubbed). I'm not being elitist, but I just find anime best left in it's original form. I'll never choose a dub over a sub, but there are still a couple of dubs I actually enjoy listening too. I thought that Trigun and Cowboy Bebop had excellent dubs for example. That's about it though. Whenever I try to watch something new in it's dubbed form, I don't get very far before I switch back to subs. It is in my opinion that most dubs suck, and that's why I don't watch them (though it may not be fair to compare the english dub to the original Japanese dub, I can't help too; no english VA can compare to a Japanese VA).

Well Bulma and Chi Chi were typical American... Vegeta's was very sly and cunning.

Armittage Polymatrix was also not bad in english dubbed.

I only have two dubs that I tolerate. Otherwise, I am a hardcore sub-fan. I look at both, but once I hear a voice that doesn't seem right of that character, I go straight to sub without giving a second thought. The two animes that I tolerated the dubs were Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop. They were easy on the ears, and didn't sound like nails on chalkboard.

I've found quite a few dubbed anime that I've enjoyed, most recently Elfen Lied. Kira Vincent-Davis does such an amazing job portraying Nyu and Lucy side-by-side that it is impossible to not lover her work. The other two who match her excellence are Sasha Paysinger as Nana and Luci Christian as Mariko. Other dubs I find enjoyable... nay... amazing are those of MADLAX, Maburaho, Place Promised in Our Early Days, and Chrono Crusade, among many others.

I think the english version of cowboy bebop was better than the jp version (don't hurt me) i think the voices fitted better, i see one ep of the original j version of cowboy bebop and i think it sounds horrible. but that might just be me
