This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Mine would surely be Nobuo Uematsu (FF series) and Yasunori Mitsuda(Chrono series and Xeno series).

And if it is for the singers, I think Faye Wong would be the most special for me, since it was she and her "Eyes on me" which brought me into such splendid a video game world.

So what about you guys?

Kenji Ito from Squaresoft/Square-Enix's "SaGa" series & Nobuo Uematsu from the "Final Fantasy" Franchise.

also whoever worked on the Guilty Gear XX & XX#Reload Soundtracks.

on a side note i think the best ost in my opinion goes to Mega Man 2. even though on nes, the soundtrack to that game was raw for its time.

Yah I also think many ost of nes games are fabulous. Maybe it was because of the poor soundfont and the composers at that time had to pay more attention on melodies.

Yeah, Nobuo Uematsu is great!
His work on FF VII AC is fantastic and the music of the Black Mage is incredible!
I also love who work on Guilty Gear X2 reload, hard rock rulez!!

Yeap, I support you all... Nobuo Uematsu's da bomb :nods:
I feel so bad he's not doing anymore Final Fantasy Series Soundtracks T-T But well, we'll see if Final Fantasy stays as it's always done or continues the line of X-2... Then I think I'll quite playing them ¬¬

Have you heard the Black MageS?? I encourage you to download both cds, 'cause it's cool to hear the Final Fantasy soundtrack in heavy metal version ^^

I agree, Nobuo Uematsu's work on the final fantasy soundtracks is amazing. It's incredible what kinds of stuff he's been able to pull off, it really helps set the world of the final fantasy games.

I'm also going to have to say that Yuki Kajiura's works are among my favorites. She's probably more famous for her work on anime soundtracks, but she was in charge of the music for xenosaga 2. Her songs are filled with a lot of emotion, showing her talent in working with instruments, particularly the violin and piano. She did the music for .hack, noir, madlax, tsubasa chronicles, to name a few. Good stuff :P

I've already heard the 2 TBMs for tens of times, they're amazing. And from my point of view the 1st one was better, maybe because I like music from FF6 most.

Yuki's works in animes are so impressive, in which I like .hack the best. However when it comes to her work in Xenosaga Ep2, how to say, I feel like Mitsuda's would probably fit more... Maybe my ears had already linked Xeno series and Mitsuda's work together :P

I'm agree. TBM2: The skies above has great versions, but I still prefer the first cd.

My favourite composers are Daisuke Ishiwatari (Guilty Gear series) and Hitoshi Sakimoto (Discography)

he's the composer of all the music in all the final fantasy games except for x-2 (which was terrible imo)

Akira Yamaoka. I loved his work on the Silent Hill series, the OSTs are excellent. He really knows how to set the mood with his music within the games.

That was Rikki, the singer of FFX theme song "suteki da ne"(Isn't that beautiful?). The song names "Pure Heart", was in the "Suteki da ne" single CD.
