This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Say girlfriend, family, wife, kids, pet were in danger.. would you risk your life for them? Most would say yes in a heartbeat.. but really in the situation what would you do?? Its really hard to think because most have never been in said situation.

For example say some crazy guy is in your house and you know that if you dont attack him yourself its much more likely that your love ones will be in more danger. However down the street a few blocks you know a police officer lives near by? What would you do?? It's easy to say you would attack the guy but would you really?

Personally I dont know what I would do, Id like to say I would die for a loved one... but I dont really know..

Anyways starting a topic like this because it seems somewhat interesting and is a good way to get to know the people on this board and their feelings, etc. (IMO at least)

Sorry to say i would not risk my life for my parents. since if i thought as a parent i'd want my kids to live before me, reason why they gave birth to us. we are their future. but i would risk my life for my brother, since i am at an adult age and he is still young, and he still has alot to look forward to, and he is my blood, my only little brother. no questions asked.

another person i'd die for is my wife & children (when that time comes when i have a family... still single), there is no way i'd want to see them hurt in anyway and i'd help them anyway i can. no questions asked.

now for a just girlfriend... thats a different story. i'd have to really love her. and love is blind sometimes. but iono... that's something i'd have to think really hard about. this one i'd have to ask myself...

and then everyone else i'd try to help... but in no way will i risk my life to the point of death. im no hero. nor do i choose to be. i life for myself and for my parents. unless my life's goal is helping people (firefighter, etc) but its not so...

Cliff notes: I'd die for my wife & kids and little brother WITHOUT QUESTION... but no one else. sorry.

My parents would probably want to die for me. If i sacraficed myself to save them, then they probably wouldn't be able to live with that :x. Well, I would still die for them. I would die for any one of my family members. I would die for my girlfriend as well; I love her sooo much.

So the only people I would die for: Girlfriend, Mom, Dad, Sisters (2)

I think that it is not an easy question to answer.

Personaly, I think that I would die for my parents and for my brother too, since I am sure that they would say the same for me... It makes it quite easy for me to do sacrifices for those who are completely ready to sacrifice their lives for me!

However, I think that I can do some efforts to help some other people and risking my life for them... The question would then be: Is ts worth to be done? I mean that I would be ready to help someone that I know to be a good person concerned by others and seeking their good! On the opposite, I would think before doing anything to help a bad person always creating problems, being one herself...

Quite challenging as a question...

Alright, before we get too carried away (and before I answer this), let's stop and think for a second -- this is a mistake which a lot of people make when it comes to thinking about it. Think about your parents, your brother/sister, closest friend, and other loved ones for a second, are you really willing to let yourself die to let another loved one live? As much as we would reflexively say so to make ourselves sound good, about half the people I come across who say that actually admit to being afraid to do so, or actually won't because they value their life more.

Now for my two cents. For the most part, I would probably give in to fear or selfishness instead and not be willing to give up my life for the sake of another loved one. But every time I think about it, I would very much like to think that I can and would die for another. I probably won't ever really know for sure until a loved one and I get placed into a life-threatening situation, there I can find out for sure whether I am willing to die for that person or not. For the time being, though, I'll never find out 'til then.

Depends on the chances. It would depend on the circumstances. I'd die 100% for my future wife and/or child but for family and friends... If some psycho/serial killer said to choose between me or a family member/friend (with the exception of my 2 baby cousins who're only under 5), I'd choose myself. If it's something like someone pulling a gun/knife on a family member or friend, I'd do something instead of run.

To die for another person, loved one or not, is a very hard descision to make, in my opinion. I would much rather attempt to take whatever action I could to remove myself and the person I cared for out of danger's way, than to jump infront of a bullet when I still have my life to live. This belief may change as I grow older, but for now it pretty much stays the same. To keep a rational mind in life or death situations can sometimes be more wise than to think with your gut.

I will protect my loved one, even it cost my life, i don';t care...we all will die someday, so why shou;d i fear it to protect them?
anyway, its useless to keep goin live if my loved one die...
believe it or not, if you face your fear, to protect someone you love,i dont know suddenly i have courage dont know where it came from...i already face that a couple of times, when my friends bullyd by a group of bad boys, my body automatically go in front of her, uh...im scared of course, but didnt know why i do that,...a minutes frm there the boys go away, mumbling...thank God...hahahahha.... ^^!

I would die for anyone, really. Even strangers or "bad people". Behind those exteriors is a story waiting to be told that led them like that anyway. But a life is a life and I would take away mine to make another live. I would risk my life mostly for loved ones, though: friends, relatives, etc. Like, I would've risked my life for the taxi driver that got killed recently in a car accident. His life was about to be glorified the next day by becoming a Canadian citizen and reuniting once again with his family.

Life is something that most people take for granted, I do. Of course. But I would give it for my friends, and my family on certain conditions.

This is definetly a hard topic...dying for someone takes a lot of love for that person...there are very few people i actually die for...but that is a had decision...

I'd do everything within reasonable measure to save a loved one, friend, or even a beloved pet.

The key words there are "reasonable measure". I know my bounds and limits. If I gather that there is absolutely nothing I can do, then that's it. I'm not going to throw my life away on a whim, or a futile action. I value my life, I'll say that right now. I'm a selfish bastard, and I'm the first to admit it. If it's a situation where I know I might die in the process, I'm going to think more than twice about it. It's got nothing to do with "love". It's a natural reaction to want to help those in need. We just tend to value those we're most attached to.

Would I die for someone dear to me, such as a parent or sibling? More than likely, but only if it would ensure their lives in the process.

I would die only for my mother. No one else. No questions asked. She gave me life, given the situation, I would give it back to save hers.
