This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

I doubt that there is a person who is into the whole anime/manga fandom and hasn't tried to speak Japanese yet. So of course I tried it and also sang in Japanese. It's a lot easier for me then I thought it would be.

Oh well, I wanted to try but it's expensive to learn jap. Oh well, probably I have to wait until uni or something. Right now, all I can do is learn from websites and so on.

I'm trying to learn Japanese by myself right now. It's okay so far. Nothing too difficult.

I think if a person has enough conifidence and anticipation, then they will be able to learn the language. My goal is to learn the language. I wish I was learning it with someone, but I'm not. I read a learning Japanese book every day, and I am starting to understand how, what, and why Japanese people talk the way they do.

I'll try to speak a little bit right now (through writing anyway):

Konnichiwa. Watakushi no namae wa, Richaado desu. Hajimemashite.

(Good Afternoon. My name is Richard. Nice to meet you.)

I have also learned a lot of words, like the numbers, basic questions, and particles, prepositions, past/present, and a lot of other things.

I can even say simple questions like:

Kore wa nan des ka. (What is this?)
Nani o shimas ka. (What are you doing?)

Man, I hope I'll be able to speak fluently one day!

Hahaha, well... I've tried to find a place where I can learn japanese, but... in my country it's hard to find one... so i decided to start a course by myself... and I've learned a lot... It's not hard as my friends told me... Two of my friends can speak fluid japanese and sometimes, they help me... xD the hardest part of all is the calligraphy (at least what they say).. hahaha, but it's funny when you're starting...

Japanese Studies is my major. Right now I'm in Japanese 201, and it is a bit difficult but it can be easy at times, depending on what kind of grammer we're learning. But I guess that even through were are a month into the class, I'm still having trouble adjusting to the current teacher in which I am taking the class from. He's a lot more strict then my teacher from last semester, but he explains things better. Also, I can understand him a lot better then my previous teacher. >3<;

I bought a really good book to learn Japanese, but only really found the time to read it on the subway on my way to and from work each day. Now that I have moved to a new place, the subway here is usually too crowded to read. My train goes by Fenway Park, where the Red Sox play, and also past Boston University. I think I'll try to pick it up again soon, but not in the near future. Admittedly, I hadn't learned much, just basic stuff like everyday phrases and numbers/months etc.

I took a year of Japanese at my you and it was cool, my sensei was very nice and we were like 5 people.

Currently I'm not taking any Japanese course at my you but I downloaded a very good Japanese course (videos, books, etc.) and I'm slowly going through them.

The hardest part for my would be the grammar (although it's pretty simple) because my pronunciation is very good (Spanish native speaker).

Ohh and learning 2000+ kanji's may take a while for me as well, I may only know 50 kanji's or so (hopefully I have babylon and I can have the meaning and writing of every kanji there is)

I tried to learn japanese, but I lost confidence a few months ago - I'm just too lazy to do it. Particulary the Kanji kind of depressed me, I don't know more than 20 Kanji by now.
However, I think I got a schoolmate to learn japanese, so it'd be worth a try again and do something about it.
Yet I doubt I will ever be able to live in Japan and speak the language. So... um yeah... x_x

I have already learned for a year. Maybe its just becaseu of my enthusiasm that i find it damn easy. No difficulty at all. I really think it depends on how enthusiatic you are at the subject. I really can't find how is japanese difficult. Anyways i still have 6 more years to learn, so i may be wrong. I can read hiragana and katakana and constuct basic sentences. Thats about it.

it's not what i would call easy, but it's not dificult...the writing is hard...but the grammar is quite simple, you just have to get used to it
