Ever tried to learn to speak Japanese?
I'm learning it... by my own pace, I have a 300 dollar japanese language learning program by Rosetta Stone that is guaranteed to work... but I have yet to use it regularly. I really need to use it... but basically I can understand like 1/5 of the dialogue in anime without subtitles.
Watching anime's and J-dorama's are really great help in learning Japanese.
Im going to start also my nihongo class this coming january at my UNI. really excited here, this will be my third non native language... ^_^

Nope, japanese is overrated.
Yep, in fact I tried to say a few words to a friend's Mathe teacher who is Japanese, but somehow it didn't work out. The poor woman tried to understand me, but couldn't make it. In short, then I decided that I won't try to learn Japanese, 'cause I just don't have the brains to do so. Furthermore, one of my classmates is learning Japanese by herself / she's really smart/ and just by looking at her sheets I get the feeling that this would be impossible task for me.

Really,.... really. When you have Japanese people around you almost every day, like me, in the Language Institute where I learn Thai... Man it helps me remembering some words back from past Japanese lessons.
I finally remember Monday to Sunday again.
I meet a Japanese fellow of mine from Language school on a regular basis now,... like this weekend. And from time to time I ask him about some vocabulary that I want to know...
I guess I will buy a Kanji book and kinda refresh my Japanese and improving my listening skillz from fansubs...

I'm learning it on my own and it's difficult remember al the hiragama I don't go forward until I get it.
Well I suppose It's something like an obligation isn't it? I mean with all the anime rush...Ever tried to learn to speak Japanese?
I a have friend that's second year in Japanese (major that is). Yeah, like you said it's hard as hell. I took some of his notebooks from first year and started learning how to write and speak some kanji + hiragana characters... damn that was horrid XD. I don't have the nerves for all that. I know some basic grammar like the subject goes first then his atributes and then the operation his doing... er something like that.
Yes actually. I have learned to speak Japanese. ^^
Learning to read it isn't as easy however. ;__;

I'm taking Japaenese classes right now. I've taken class before so I speak it pretty well. I can read Hiragana and Katakana pretty well, but Kanji just kills me T_T
Like many others, I want to speak Japanese.
So that's why I'm learning it! From...from a book. A pretty good book too, but I'd like a pure Japanese-English dictionary, as the book mostly focuses on sentence structures and the like (it gives a bunch of word translations of coure, but it's not a pure dictionary. So it doesn't have as much words). I have been going since September. I would like a sensei to tutor me on the side lines, but meh. I try practicing on my friends, I'm learning alright. I forget things kinda easy though, so I'm really trying my best to remember it. ^_^

Ohh I think this threat is a Japanese Dictionary
Huh...T_T

I'm trying...right now i'm at second year in University, and 'im studying Japanese. Yes, it's really hard, but fortunately, pronunciation it's very similar to Italian....YATTA!
Learning japanese is something i'd like a lot to do... but here in my town (Far Far Away xDDD)... there isn't schools that teach this language T.T... but a heard it has a lot of adverbs because there is no changes in the verb (I mean, the verb is written and said the same way in present and in past, for example), so i think this is the hardest part because the pronunciation looks easy...
Hard or Easy, if I had the chace of studying japanese I wouldn't lose it.

I'd like to learn, but that'd take very much time, and money from me, and since I'm a college student, I have to consider, how many time can I spend for other things than study. Otherwise, I'd gladly do it, even though my language sense isn't the best. But it'd be interesting, at least to try it, and speaking in those language, who make the animes. It'd make things easier... :-)
Not enough time. Maybe if school was destroyed :(

bye bro!
