This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

I honestly cannot say that I have. Sorry to be a disappointment, but I'll add them to the list of artists to pick up. What kind of electro do they mainly do?

Hard Trance.

Now listen carefully, cause this isn't normal trance.
It isn't euro beats either.
This is hard trance!

and no, their style isn't the 1000 beats per second kind of hard trance. Those kind of songs are just fakies of what REAL hard trance is.

Here I'll hook you up with a couple of their songs.

Registration for IMEEM required!

Megara vs Dj Lee - For A Moment

Megara vs Dj Lee - Hold You Hands Up High
http://k316.imeem.com/music/RGxsfH0R/megara_vs_dj_lee_megara_vs_dj_lee_hold_your_hands_up_hig/
Don't be creeped out by the guy's voice, this song isn't hardcore at all.

If you don't like the beginning, I suggest you skip to the middle. EVERY Megara song has the best parts at the middle.

I also like this for regular raving trance.
Tiesto - Elements of Life

I really like techno music but i don't really listen to one artist. I just take anything that sounds good and listen to that. One trend that I have noticed though is that European artists are really good at making original songs, like Bass Hunter. American DJs on the other hand are adept at remixing songs.

Sweet there's some more trancers here with me. right now im more into the happy hardcore stuff with artists like acolyte, Gammer, No left turn, the nice guys, and some others out there. but i also like the trance djs out there like paul oakenfold and teisto and the like. have to say though that i didn't always like the electronica genre, but i had a freind that made me listen to a remix of a classical song that sounded awesome and i've been hooked since. what i was thinking of doing is since there's a hip hop group and a rock group here in ap, why isn't there an electronica group here too? it's a popular enough catagory that i think we would have a fair amount of support, i dunno what do you all think?

Indeed, Electronica is popular enough.
Let's debate! lol j/k
Anyways,

In my perspectives I see Megara vs Dj Lee the best for Hard Trance.
As for normal trance, mine would have to be Tiesto.

Daft Punk is like a god in the electro world. That's easily said. David Vandetta is really good, I like him but haven't heard him lately. As for the others (except for Tiesto of course) I'll have to look into them. Thanks for mentioning them though.

OMG DAFT PUNK PWNS!!! Serious i believe they started electro music! and there live concert is freakin the best! ive watched it and im soo raging (the highest lvl of anger) that i cant make it to there concert here in Australia. Also speaking of techno etc Van She Tech and The Aston Shuffle are really good.

Trance is awesome, 'nuff said. I've just been recently converted to listen to nothing but trance. I get easily bored when I'm listening to other types of music, especially if most of the lyrics make no sense. I listen to DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, and loads of others. I wish there were more trance enthusiasts here in my county... I hardly hear anyone liking trance other than me in my place. #(u_u)# emoticon

Electronica does not exist. Not as a genre or a description. It was coined by the North American music press to refer to the second wave of electronic music's explosion in the late 90s, and exists purely as a marketing buzzword, not any actual quantifiable branch of music (the first wave of electronic music, incidentally, they called 'techno', and, having driven the word into the ground beyond all sense of meaning, they couldn't keep using it if they wished to re-market the music). Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy's 'Fat of the Land', Chemical Brothers and other big-time stars of that period were all called "electronica" at one point or another, but the person who really popularized it in the public consciousness was Madonna and her shallow, William Orbit-produced piss-poor attempt at appropriating trance music as something she invented (Ray of Light). She used that word all the damn time in interviews. God I hate her. So yeah: There is no such thing as electronica. I want each and every one of you to stop calling it that, because it makes you sound like a god damn retard. If you want to talk about the music as a whole, simply call it what it is: "electronic music" (or EDM--Electronic Dance Music--for the club/rave stuff). This is a PSA from the Official Electronic Music Genre Standards and Classifications Consortium.

And the point of that description is? Point is it's not Techno, for that was born in Detroit out of the 70s which just saw Jazz add a synthesizer to the mix of the music. Electronia, or excuse me let me be politically correct here, Dance is by far the best dancing music. People look for crappy hip-hop where I live when they want to dance not some siiiiiiiiick remixes by top artists on famous songs. That disappoints me since dance is well self-explanitory.

I love listening to techno (I say techno but that's probably not the right name for it) anytime. It just makes you wanna move. And I am always trying to find new artists to listen to. Especially if there's singing in it, like DJ Melodie, Cascada, Crazy Frog, DJ Encore. So if anyone has any suggestions on some stuff I might like let me know. ^___^

I just heard a remix of a song (forget what it was) by Michael Woods and I have to say this man impresses me a lot. I can't find a lot of works from him although I'm sure he's done tons. He's not very around like AvB or PvD or Tiesto, etc. but still his re-mixes are epic. I would highly recommend him.
