This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

There's two videos of the Chemical Brothers in action on the X-Box Live marketplace right now. I've only watched one and I must say it is very satisfying to hear that great progressive build that I've heard from them many times before, goos stuff.

It's one of my fav kinds of music. i think i probably have more techno cd's than anything else. the dj's i like most are sasha, tiesto, oakenfold, and digweed. and i like daft punk, TCM, TCB, and prodigy a lot too. i'm more of a trance guy though. i don't care too much for the songs that are really really repetitive. i love bass, so D&B is fine with me, and chill is always appropriate.

it's a very under-appreciated genre. too many people think it doesn't take any talent, but if they were to watch a cd being made then they would know that it often times takes more talent and musical knowledge than most anything else. these artists are composing songs on the same level as classical music and man of them play most of the instruments heard in their music. a lot of them could write a symphony like it was 2nd nature.

it takes someone with a discerning ear, and some understanding of musical theory. to know how good a lot of techno is.

I listen to this type of music when i'm doing graphics. it's quite relaxing and lets me get loose~ I'm still a newb on this genre, but i really love Benny Bennassi and Daft Punk.

Can anyone recommend any other DJs? I'm all open for different options~

European vocal trance and that HI-NRG style are great to listen to when doing stuff on your comp. Lately I've been listening to a lot of JPOP and anime music but before that it was all trance all the time.

Check out the trance in video games, too. Extreme G 1 and 3 have decent soundtracks with consistently superb melodies. As pointed out earlier, you need an ear for the beat and melody when composing this sort of music. It isn't as simple as some people suppose (since it's all Fruity Loops, right?).

Trance and vocal trance was the first thing I started spinning as a DJ, then I moved to house music and eventually funk (the predecessor to modern rap). Before I get bashed for saying that, don't believe for a second that what you hear on the radio is the whole of hip-hop culture. Whole genres of music aren't even aired on the radio or publicly marketed- it's the same with hip-hop, rock, or whatever.

I love trance despite it being mainstream (in Europe). House is great to, esp. disco house, haha. Basically, if I like it, I'll appreciate it, mainstream or not.

I agree that more than often radios don't play half of what is out there and if you pay attention you'll find that even for mainstream artists they thend to play the first 2 or 3 songs of an album over and over and over again. That been said, I still like to listen to radio but online independent online radio stations like www.somafm.com which I highly recommend.

I started out in techno, electro which I still love but Ambient (also known as Trip-hop sometimes) is also great. I like Portishead, Groove Armada, the Dining Rooms, Fila Brazilia, and many others... Also like when different musical genres are mixed with electro like when Gotan Project does it with tango and electro. I love listening to that kind of music anytime, I find it's the only type of music (along with classical) that I can do my homework with and still be concentrated lol.

I have always loved dance music because it has cool and melodic music, you can dance to it=) I don't like so many Djs though, many songs really suck, or maybe it is just not my taste :P I like some songs from different artists, like, one song from Dj Dean, one song from Dave202, another song from another artist, I haven't found an artist that has several great songs yet :P

I'm a huge fan of Electronica music.

Techno, Trance, Break-beat, House, Euro-beat, etc. (Just to name a few main genres). Artists include DJ Sakin, Daft Punk, Ayla, Eric Prydz, Mylo, DJ Sasha, Airscape, Infected Mushroom, and there are tons of others I like as well.

One song I stumbled on last night that's amazing. Scissor Sisters - I Can't Decide. It was on the show Dr. Who over on the BBC.

I'm a big fan of Nu Style (Gabber), Big Beat, and other types of Hardcore Techno, Trancecore, and Breaks. My top artists are REDALiCE, Alabaster, M-Project, DJ TECHNORCH, DJ Sharpnel, and RaverRose. Rotterdam Techno, the hardest style of electronic music that doesn't border on the ludicrous, imo. It's good stuff :D
