love the ending

I think it was a great end of a rather okay anime, Tomoya and Nagisa was the perfect couple I was hoping for them trough the whole series, the fact that there is going to be a second season made me sad, why ruin a perfect ending? every anime just has to have more than one season thease days and it makes me so sick since it often can ruin an original good story.

Yeah, I agree. I really feel that the story is better off this way. It's complete, IMO, with a wonderful wonderful ending.:)

2nd seasons? I hated season 2 of Honey and Clover.>_>

I feel that the ending is more nicely wrapped up than their previous effort, "Kanon (2006)". However, some people who have reservations about Nagisa in an after story, and I'm one of them.

I just finished reading the summary from Clannad After Story. the ending from clannad only half of it!

the true ending with Nagisa is far more cruel than I ever imagined (far more cruel than ending of Air, I'm also find it hard to believe) I never imagined their fate will be so dark and sad

after reading the manga, I just can't believe that love can be eternal. I found its impossible for Tomoyo to live on without Tomoya around. thinking 3 years Tomoyo has to spent with Tomoya in her amnesia state really shock me. why Key (developer of Clannad if anyone didn't know) can make such a tragic story like this and they end it to leave sadness. what's the point of it?

Anime ending was alright and after story might be alright considering i dont have the english subbed version of it for the game i wouldnt have a clue whats meant to happen. Movie was just... words cannot describe the amount of anguish and despair im feeling after watching that, it was just SO bad. brb my head is exploding.

I liked the ending. I really wished it lasted a lot longer. I enjoyed the whole thing a lot. Specially the begining when Tomoya was always playing jokes on Fuko.

I was somewhat dissapointed by the way Clannad ended however you must keep in mind that the way Clannad ended was not the real way it will end. As we all know, AfterStory is coming out soon and will continue Clannad through the "game". From what I understand, AfterStory is where EVERYTHING happens. What we have been watching up until this point has simply been the setup for the rest of the story. If you thought what you've been watching now was good, just wait for the next season to come out. Since it's still KYOTO animations I'm sure they will keep up the amazing animation and stunning story telling that they do. They seem to have a knack for adapting these visual novels into animes. For all those Haruhi season 2 fans, no worries, it's coming. Just enjoy some more Clannad. Everyone can be happy ^__^.

As far as this ending goes. While it was touching, I have to say that the last arc simply was not as powerful as it should have been. The most powerful arc I have to say is still the Kotomi arc. Rather the most powerful scene was within it. Much of the rest of that arc wasn't very touching. I can still remember how touching it was when the man brought out the suit case with the teddy bear inside. One of the most beautiful scenes in anime. While the ending scene for AIR was stronger, i'm sure AfterStory will have more of this amazingness in store for all of us.

I could expected the ending. However the original game was better for everyone's arcs. At least is interesting series but the movie version had changed of Tomoya's seiyuu.

The movie ending is much better than S1 ending.

I really love the ending it good how they both going out together now but still i would like to see a 2nd season of Clannad if that possible but dont think it will happen since it already ended in a good way =] there who havent watch Clannad yet you should watch it now!!!love!

I was really hoping that Tomoya would get together with Tomoyo, but with the latest episodes, it seems highly unlikely. Oh well back to playing the PC game.

Have you played Key's PC game Tomoyo After? I haven't gotten around to playing it but if you like Tomoyo it should be interesting.
