This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Go get one now!

Anyone else have one?

The lv3/lv4 brightness level is crazy. It looks so much better and feels less flimsy. The DS games look so much better.

Is it really noticibly brighter? Also I was afraid it might be TOO small. I kinda like something I can really wrap my video game addicted fingers around...like a go-gurt...those are nice, even now.

I got mine on the 1st of June being in Australia with an early release for once!. The screen is incredibly bright. Once you play on full brightness you will never want to play on a normal DS again. The controls can be cramped at first but you get used to it and can generally find a comfortable position. Unfortunately my Router isn't nintendo WiFi compatable. I only have metroid Prime Hunters at the moment and have the means on the way to use hombrew on mine so that I can play mp3's and watch anime on it! Do get one if your thinking of it. It is worth it as its half that of the PSP's price and has a touch screen.

I got my one last week. I'm surprised it was released in Australia first rather than in the US because majority of games and consoles gets release at there first then after a couple of weeks, it gets released over here. I was looking forward to it for a pretty long while now since it was announced and i have no regrets whatsoever. The screen are a lot brighter and it can be adjusted with a 4 brightness setting option. What i love is using the stylus pen on the touch screen to play games. Playing games is so different now where instead of using control pad + buttons to perform your actions, you can touch one of the select options on the bottom screen to perform a particular action in the game. The microphone comes in pretty handy as well and its very unique.

Unfortunately my Router isn't nintendo WiFi compatable.

There is a USB WiFi Connecter which you can purchase for people who doesn't have a wireless network or a incompatible router. Go to www.nintendowifi.com.au for more information. Click on Router info under Tech Support.

I'm really looking forward to Final Fantasy 3, The Legend of Zelda : Phantom Hourglass and many more to come ^_^

I was one of those people who got there Nintendo DS Lite on June 11th i could have gotten one of the imported Japanese Nintendo DS Lite in either blue, white or pink but i wasen't willing to dish out $250 to get the Nintendo DS Lite early. as everyone has been saying that the backlight is brighter i compared it to the original Nintendo DS and it was true at the lowest setting it is just as bright but some of the people i showed it to compare thought that the it was brighter. i like the power button how it is now it's not a button that someone can accidently pressed and switch it off but the AC adapter is smaller so it can't also double as the AC adapter for the Game Boy Advance SP, i kept it because the DS and the DS Lite couldn't play Game Boy or Game Boy Color. the buttons are softer too and the cap for the GBA games help to prevent dust or other things out of the openning from damaging the system. these are the games i am waiting for to be released on DS...

- Final Fantasy 3
- Mega Man ZX
- Xenosaga 1 and 2
- Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia
- Tales of Tempest
- The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles -- Ring of Fates
- Rune Factory: New Harvest Moon
- Mobile Suit Gundam Seed

Let's see what the future bring to the Nintendo DS

Yea your router has to be wireless for the Wi-Fi to work. I was planning to get a lite but the games for it that i want haven't come out so im gonna wait and see if they are good. So much cheaper than the Psp and though it cant play movies or music its still cool i mean 3d games and chat tools and such.

I wouldn't say, it won't be able to play musics unless you connect one of these media dock to your lite + the flash card. Click on the link for more info. I don't know about watching DVDs on the lite but watching video files, listening to MP3 and viewing photos will be great. It comes in 1GB or 2GB of storage space which is fairly decent.

Wow that "Max Media Dock" looks impressive something I'd probably get even though i already have a PSP but I rather use the memory sticks for the PSP. it's more compact and there is also a adapter that comes with some scan disk memory sticks that can double as a memory stick in some camera's. it looks kind of bulky too and this company already has made a 4GB hard drive for the PSP which is also kind of bulky but there is a 4GB memory stick that is coming out for the PSP it's going to be expensive but it's better then carrying around that hard drive.

My Router is wireless and it connects just not to nintendo. Yeah I'm going to get a usb connector (after exams) apparently it will be compatable with the Wii too. I've got a Supercard SD on order which is similar to what your talking about. With the installation of homebrew programs you can get movies, mp3's and all sorts working on there. They are bulky with the DS lite as the GBA slot is shallow but yeah. also the files you have to convert to are about a 3rd of the size on the computer. So anime eps are like 50MB! + you can interchange SD cards at will. I've done this to a normal ds before and it works great.

The super SD card you mention, did you ordered it from an online store from Australia or in the retailers. If it's an online store i would appreciate it if you post the link here. I want to get one of these cards but the link i had was from an online store in America and i'm not planning to purchase it from there even though its online.

I've had the DS since 3/29 and I've already bought 14 DS games (3 of which I sold) and 5 GBA games. I love it.

I do need to send it back to Nintendo, though. I have 2 stuck pixels on the top screen =(

I've heard that the DS has some major flaws...like the buttons aren't responsive and the screen isn't positioned correctly. :o
