Just wanted to know if there were anyother hardcore anime collectors out there. I currently have 1.2TB of anime and just put it on an FTP server. wanted to know if there were any others out there and wanted to compare notes

I dont think I'ma much of a collector as you are but I do collect all my anime into cds or i just put em' in my external harddrive... i dont know how much i have but i have like cases full of anime but not as much as 1.2 TB... THAT'S INSANE!
I'm not sure how many hours, gigs, terabits ect. I have, all my animes are on DVD.
So I opened my entertainment center and started to count disc'. I count roughly 180 discs.
I was really surprised at that number, but then I started to think. I usually buy 1 disc every Saturday. 52 Saturdays a year over 4 years. Yeah, thats about right.

I can say welcome to the club =) though i don't have that much, i got a total of 500gb of anime stuff. from anime pics, videos and MP3s... so much for being a bum. but yeah, maybe we can share notes of what we have.
as for your ftp server, did you really manage to set that whole terrabyte and put them online? that's great but be ready for leechers who will drain your bandwidth.

I currently have an estimate of 85GB of anime stored on CD-ROMs but majority on DVD-ROMs. That figure is still going up as i regularly download anime series to watch. 1.2TB is a crazy figure lol. It will take me ages or never to reach that ^_^
I think my anime collection comes about 120Gb's. And I m waiting 4 my dsl connection in order to make it bigger :)
I am always downloading anime, i usualy keep 10 downloads going at all times, i like having back up discs for my anime but i prefer having all of it on my HDD i have 1.6TB of space atm and im about to get another 400GB. I have to keep them all in an Excel file or I'd lose track of them. If any of you want i can send the excel file for you to look at and add anything you can think of. I have 3 tabs in it, a downloaded tab a need to download tab and a watch for tab that keeps track of anime that hasnt come out, is still coming out or hasnt been completely subbed yet. Also with my FTP server i have it passworded so only people i give the password to can gain access. I dont mind if you send me an IM asking for the info, i recently quit playing wow so im not worried about getting lag in any game. although I'll be going to million man lan in a few days.

OMG! I ADMIRE YOU... i started downloading about last year and for now i have about 120 GB...and i thought that was much but i was wrong...

Ok ok atm i have cable and like i said i keep 10 DLs goin at all times with an average of 35-40 kB/s, but last year I attended the University of Louisville. I stayed on campus and made full use of their T3 connection, I constantly had 25 DLs goin with an average of 50 kB/s with some at a constant 1700 kB/s (I have screenshots). Within one semester i had downloaded 700GB.
OMG! that's not posible here...maybe it is but that kind of speed is very expensive...i would have to pay double to have 2000 kb/s conection...and i don't have that much money...:((((...

Haha, you sound just like me. Im the same way, I always have anime downloading. Except I still play WOW. Thats the only time I stop my downloads.
