bye bro! who here recycles?
Well, I've seen some environmental friendly threads here before. But there was never actually one about recycling. (if there was sry, you can just close this down)
So anyways, I just wanted to know, who here actually recycles? Cuz I know I do, and whenever I see my friends throw a soda can in the garbage, I always tell them to recycle it. But they just laugh cuz they think I'd be joking around. Like, even one sheet of paper, I think is a big deal to recycle. I hate it when someone asks me for looseleaf at school, and all the person does with it is crumple it up into a ball to throw at someone. (yeeah...am I a freak or what? lol)
So yeah, do you guys recycle, consume a lot without recycling. And most of all, do you guys decompose (cuz my bro loves to garden, and so he has his own decomposer. Whenever, he has a banana or somethin like that, he would just throw the peel into the decomposer.)??

I don't know in your country but here, there's different bins for garbage : one for white bottles, one for colored bottles, one for PVC, one for paper, ...
So if they see something in a wrong bin, they leave it in front of your home.
At university, there are differents bins too.

I recycle!! As for decomposing, no sorry, I dont...
Your not a freak for recycling, I think its a good idea, all these stupid people are cutting down trees for things we dont need when we can RECYCLE! I think your pretty smart for it! Keep it up!!

I want to recycle, but I'm not exactly sure what to recycle. It's paper, plastic, glass, metal?, cardboard, and...is that it? And what kind of paper can be recycled? Like wrapping paper, looseleaf, an old book that fell apart? I have no idea. And you're not a freak! I hate it when I give someone a whole piece of looseleaf, and they just spit their gum into it and throw the whole thing out. At least the looseleaf you give to people can actually be recycled.
The last thing I wanna say is DON'T USE STYROFOAM!! No styrofoam peanuts in packages, no styrofoam cups, no styrofoam at all! It doesn't decompose, no matter how long you let it sit there. And then we'd run out of room for the things that can decompose.

The only reason I dont recycle is cuz im to lazy to sort out everything, and put this there, and that here, and such when i could just toss everything in trash can and continue on with whatever im doing... I guess that makes me a bad person huh?
I recycle at home, but at work we don't. So I guess the two cancel each other out. For every can I recycle at home, we throw out tons of paper and cardboard at work.
Yea i recycle when i am at my families house .. since i moved into an apt i cant becasue there isnt another bin :(

Well the world will die faster without recycling it is very importent, I try to recycle all the time, but sometimes I am too lazy. However some things are unexceptable even if you are lazy and no garbage can in site. Like throughing garbage on the street or out of the window. People who do that should be put on probation for a year or three to pic up garbage and do community service and etc.
I recycle. It's nice knowing that all that stuff isn't going to waste. It's also nice knowing that with recycle bins, our trash is a little less full, which is a benefit to everybody personally regardless of their views on conservation. However, recycling where I live at home and where I go to college is really easy because the city sorts it out for you. You just dump everything that's recyclable into the recycle bin, and everything that's garbage into the garbage bin. Easy stuff.
As for decomposing, my family doesn't have nearly enough garden refuse to use as compost, although, thankfully, there's another bin for that, and the city does whatever they do with the garden waste. And I'm doubtful me and my roomates will ever have any amount of garden refuse during the school year.

I recyle as much as I can. While there are times when I'm lazy about it (i.e. if I'm at school and there aren't any reclying bins nearby, I do sometimes just throw soda can/bottles into the trash), I do make a lot of effort to concerve/recyle. For example, when I'm writing papers or doing research, I very rarely print out my drafts (with my last paper the only thing I printed was the final version I turned into my professor) and with research, I almost never print out anything (only really huge articles that take a long time to go through and are thus, frequently done while I'm at school--in between class and if the class is boring, during class). With school work and the paper I use in it, I am actually very good at remebering to recycle it.
Well, i recyle my paper. Thats only because we chuck so much of it away :D
My neighborhood gave us giant recycling bins (big like the 90 gallon trash bins) to put all recycables in at the same time (I feel sorry for the sorters). I really like to recycle... I'm trying to get my grandma's office to look into recycling bin because (to my horror xD) they throw out about 100000 papers a week (including stuff in the shreader) that could be recycled into other paper products (or paper again)

I recycle always because tones of glass, plastic, paper and cardboard can be broken down and be reused as normal packaging, milk cartons, newspapers etc. Overall its fun and i kind of like storing stuff out to recycle, well it really depends on the day i'm having.
At my house, there are 3 bins. One for rubbish, one for recycling and the other one is for gardening. I make the effort of recycling as the council already provided the bins for us, beside i'm doing the environment a huge favour ^_^.

My grandma wants to get one of those Compostumbler things, which will be really good so I can use it for my gardens (veggies and cactus xD). I want to get the smallest one for at home so I can have good stuff for my flowers and cactus there, but I dont think my mom could afford it (and I can't at the moment)

i recycle =D but i heard that if you don't flatten your cans and stuff the people at the recycling place doesnt recycle it or something=/
