|iroveasheHonestly, I thought the series was dead after 4, and when I first saw a trailer for 5 I thought it was going to be the same as the previous one but with better graphics. It wasn't until I found out that it is linked to the story of the first ones that my hopes for this games increased, then after a few more trailers I'm already convinced that this is going to be great. I always had a problem with that tendency of the girl who doesn't have to get hurt and always gets in your way (RE4, SH2 & 4) but in this case she seems to actually be useful and have an important story. It looks highly entertaining with an interesting plot and nice action sequences. The gameplay of RE4 was fun and apparently it stays that way (with some improvements I expect) and the other thing I think will stay as in RE4 (unfortunately) is the puzzles, which weren't very elaborated (not elaborated at all to be more precise).
I think this will continue until all the story stuck or something

Not really.
Rehashed and desperate is an on-rails shooter using significant past moments in the series to cruelly damage all precious memories old fans used to have.

I also believe RE2 is the best and you don't need a PS3, it's coming out for the 360 too. Just a matter of preference like every other game now.

It looks like it's going to be pretty awesome, like RE4 was. However in terms of an all-around package, I thought some of the earlier Resident Evil games were better. RE4 did have some corny and stupid moment. Although the action and puzzles tended to make up for that.

RE4 was full of corny and stupid stuff. Yes, yes, I know RE is known for that but even for RE standards, this was really stupid stuff. That whole jumping over laser section speaks for itself but it was stuff that was easily ignorable due to great gameplay. Though I don't really remember any puzzles per say.

This game is starting to look more better as each snippet is shown. I need to get a PS3 by the time this game comes out.

I just saw that new trailer it was pretty damn cool. I wonder if RE5 is going to get any controversy because of the setting of the game.

It has caused controversy sadly. Just goes to show that people are either A. Stupid or B. Need some kinda drama fix to move on with their lives. The developers have stated their reasons for the setting and it's a pretty good one in terms of story connections. Wish people would get over the fact that "OMG they're black and he's white =o!"

I'm waiting this game ,
the graphic are very good , even if it's not the best ( ff13, ff 13 versus , heavy rain and other are much better in my opinion but still)
i wish the cooperate mod will be nice and interesting
and of coure i 'm waiting for a pc version who know
even dmc4 , and lost planete ( the same engine) are in computer pc so i guess resident evil 5 too..

I do think that at the moment Resident Evil 5 does bear alot of striking resemblences to Resident Evil 4. The main thing that really irritates me is that they are re-using the Chainsaw, which to me was mainly a RE4 weapon. I don't even like the look of the enemy that uses the Chainsaw. To me the Bella Sisters and Dr. Salvador look much more fear striking that this enemy. The enemies also have alot of the same animations that the RE4 Ganados used, which to me makes me think Capcom are being slightly lazy and not re-updating the enemies animations. I do just hope that the game looks much better as a final product that what it looks like at the moment. I do also hope that they release RE5 for the Nintendo Wii, because after seeing, playing and completing the excellent update that they did with Resident Evil 4, then I think it would be well worth putting it onto the Wii as well!!

They won't. Let's remember the graphical difference and processing power difference between PS3/360 to the Wii. It would mean getting a whole new team to build a brand new engine to create a new game. Maybe in 3 years if this game is immensely successful like Resident Evil 4 then they'd consider it but I would definetely say no for the immediate future.
