Why:
T_T do I have to say why L should live much more than Light? His last moments...OMG his last moments keep repeating in my head...he was killed by one he considered the only friend he had ever had...and at the same time, he was sure Light is his enemy. >_< I cannot find a sadder death than being killed by your only friend in the world, and knowing that you were right about him being your sworn enemy >_<

Why: This was the saddest death, i have ever witnessed. She tried so hard all her life to make friends, but she was always alone and was considered a werid child. She wanted a friend and finally found Yukito and after reaching her goal, she died in the arms of her "mother". This was sad just for a child to die in the parents arms, and the music made it worse. uwahh~~saddd.

Why:
She thought she was being killed by the one person that she loved and actually opened her heart up to. She died in betrayal and was deceived. Even after she thought it was InuYasha who killed her, she still couldn't kill InuYasha so she sealed him to the tree. It was sad for me to think that she thought that his love was all a trick. >< stupid Naraku.

Serie: Saint Seiya.

Why: Because he died when Athena forgive his sins. He commit suicide when the geminis cloth go to destroy the ''Muros de los Lamentos''. He kill Radamanthys (one of the 3 general's of hell) and itself with the same power ''Galaxian Explosion'' . He cry when i read that.

Imagine what would feel like if you knew the exact moment you were going to die... small dreams like "when i have grand children i will tell them lots of things" will never become true... and you know it... Besides, even if she knew she was going to die she still kept on her relationship with Kazuhiko...

shirahime: I know! When L died i was so shocked... that was the moment i officially started hating Light... I mean, that sneer of his when he is holding L, it must suck to die that way, looking at your killer's satisfied eyes.

Oh, it's a tie, but I'll put down this one because probably no one would ever mention her death on this site. (The series isn't very well-known. T_T)

Series: Arc the Lad
Why: The poor girl was brough to some sort of lab (Whitehouse) at a very young age, separated from her family with only two friends. After losing her dearest one, she underwent horrific, painful experiments, and was mutated into this...thing. Then, when the friend finally comes back for her (she never gave up hope), her mind has still retained a childlike state, and he has no choice but to go up to her as she is talking about how she just wants to go play (although that is physically impossible for her now) and he chokes her. And she dies there. And I cried so hard...

Why: one of the most well done death scenes ever animated. She's wounded, covered with blood, everything drawn to perfection. As she talks to Shuji for the last time, she confesses everything, then becomes dilusional due to bloodloss. Her eyes become dialated, the voice actress herself sounded weak and hurt. Finally, she grows afraid, Cries out in fear, doesn't want to die, then Cough-cough-splurt-dead.
I didn't put her here because her death was my saddest moment, only because it was the most well done. Never before have I felt such an endless void Ripped into the depths of my soul simply from the shere quality of the scene!

Why?!: No words can the describe it. It was just so beautiful! Haku, after following zabuza for all his life gets to die for him like he always wanted to.

Indeed. I wanted to STAB Light to death when he smiled that triumphant smile to L when L dies. I never hated Light as much as that moment. You would've thought he would spare L the pain to realize that he was right all along about his only friend being his sworn enemy...but noo, he HAS to sneer at L even when he DIES. >_<

This poor little girl and her dog are transmuted into a perfect chimera by her father, who did it for science. Yeesh. What a crummy excuse. Then in both the anime and the manga she was imploded from the inside out by Scar, who was basically doing a mercy killing for them. It was so heartbreaking to hear Ed sobbing when he saw them splattered against the wall and then when he was slamming his blodstained gloves against the wall to try to bring them back.

Okay, this was really all that sad because Fllay was such a b@#%^& to Kira and Lacus and basically everyone, but she did try to do the right thing at the end. And she forgave Kira for not being able to prevent her death, which was nice of her to do.

Okay, so she was the lover of a madman, who kind of stabbed her through to get a shot at wounding Kenshin. But she was truly happy to be able to serve Shishio in battle and you kind of have to admire that kind of loyalty.

Ok, stopping now before I get any worse.

His death makes me cry evrey time I watched it. The poor man spent his entire life commiting sins, he was just barely starting to make up for them, with caring for the orphaned children and all, but a stupid mistake cost him to be shot and he ending up begging to live inside a church...When he breaks down and cries and screams : I did not want to die this way! It gets me evreytime...

Name : Rosette, Chrono
Anime/Manga : Chrono Crusade
Why: They died peacefully which was nice, but it was still very sad ><. They died holding hands which was also very sweet. I feel so sorry for Az... After all that Chrono did, and all that Rosette did, they still managed to die peaceful deaths, which is interesting about life because just because you meet someone, doesn't mean you know what they have been through or done. It was also sad, because they knew exactly when they were going to die, which would have been very sad and dreadful.

Series: Rurouni Kenshin, by Watsuki-dono

Tomoe was finally arranged to be married to the one man she thought she loved. On his last night, he left to fulfill a duty he had and she didn't stop him (although she'd later regret she hadn't). On that same night, he was brutally and efficiently murdered by Himura Kenshin, Hitokiri Battosai. When she discovered this, she made a pact with a group of ninja/assassins who also harbored a grudge against Battosai to get close to him, make him love her, find his weakness and let them kill him.

She ended up falling in love with him, and they were happily married and went to live in the Japanese countryside. They spent (I think) about a year in peace alone together before her younger brother Enishi sought her out as the group's messenger and told her it was time. Reluctantly, she leaves the second man she has ever loved, taking a knife with her.

He follows her to the forest, where she tries to kill the leader of the group and is knocked out. Battosai swiftly kills two of them, defeating another and arriving at the fourth and final one�??the leader. During the vicious battle, Tomoe awakes and sneaks outside. Fueled by anger and passion, Kenshin is about to kill him when Tomoe jumps in the way with the same intentions. As she swings the knife at the leader, Kenshin's sword passes through both of them.

He's crying and asking her why, and she just smiles and tells him not to be sad, because this is how things should be. Then she dies in his arms.

Just sad. Sad irony on top of sad irony on top of sad irony. Blah.

actually i never heard Elisia voice in english i guess i should have mentioned that i was quoting a fan sub but it was so sad to see the child he loved so much watch him be buried

when shikimori used the last two magics he had in order to save yuuna.

the graphics were amazing and vivid. the magic points counter was a simple device that physically showed the power of kazuki's magic...
his gift of healing is something that even akai-sensei couldnt do.

well. shikimori didnt exactly die, but at the time of watching, i assumed he did, and that image stuck to me.
